We booked this hotel mainly for its promixity to the train station, and it really did not disappoint! Just a few minutes walk away.
The room itself was relatively okay, overall clean and beds comfortable, but there were weird white stains on the bedroom slippers, so we didnt use it. The walls of the room are very thin, and also there's construction happening at night nearby. However they do provide earplugs for this purpose. Another thing I was quite worried initially by was that the room's lock does not work at all. And the hotel staff said that all the locks on the room don't work because each hotel room is accesible only by its keycard. That is a minus point for me as perhaps I'm paranoid, but I'd like my locks to work and actually keep people out in the event there's a break in.
We did not try the breakfast, but there's free coffee, tea and water at the lobby. Staff were friendly and welcoming overall.

The business car coming from the airport stops right in front of the hotel, and it is extremely convenient to walk to Kunming Railway Station. The lady at the front desk upgraded my room type for me, which was really great. Very peaceful to sleep at night and great value for money.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, we knew the location was excellent so close to the train station. But the rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained, with all the amenities you need, including a fridge which we found to be rare in our travels and laundy room! We had a room with a terrace (also rare) and loved being able to unwind outside overlooking the restraint area, which is very picturesque. Staff were friendly and professional. he meal we had at the restaurant was excellent. Absolutely recommend this hotel, one of the best we stayed in during our 3 week trip in China.

Our flight arrived earlier than scheduled and reached the hotel at 2am. Hotel staff, 壹木 explained we would need to book for additional night as the night we booked could not check in yet.
We wanted to order food delivery via meituan and requires a local number. Hotel staff, 壹木 was very kind to enter his number for us to order.
Overall, hotel was great! Would definitely recommend to others who will be travelling to kunming.
Location wise, it is nearer to kunming railway station.

Hotel was clean but you can tell was dated. Nowhere as well-kept as the Jinjiang Classique hotel at The Bund, Shanghai I stayed.
Family Room I booked was actually two bedrooms with connecting doors. Cute layout for kids. :D

The hotel is conveniently located, about a 10-minute walk from the train station. I arrived at the hotel very late, and the front desk was very nice. They extended the room for free after checking out at 3 o'clock the next day, and also gave me a coffee coupon. The room was very clean and comfortable, no noise, and equipped with a toilet seat, conditioner, body lotion, etc. I will book again next time

We loved it. The room was beautifully designed and well equipped, very quiet and equipped with all kinds of amenities you could wish for. The staff was also lovely and friendly.
There is a (DIY) laundry available in-house whhixh we used and much appreciated.
The location is great thanks to the fact that there is the railway station as well as metro and restaurant and cafés nearby. The ‚17coffee‘ was amazing (:

WwilliewengMy definition of luxury, this brand new hotel strikes the perfect balance of elegance and simplicity as art deco style. Bath Rooms are tastefully decorated with all the high quality amenities. You'd come to expect from a 5+ star hotel including automatic black out curtains and one touch lighting control.
The restaurant/breakfast area was outstanding. The breakfast was one of the best I experienced with a selection not found in any other 5 star hotel.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. From the moment we booked the room we were greeted with the most friendly staff. Emily and Wan (in the Front desk/Concierge ) gave us a smooth check in, and provided us with a great dining guide that we wanted to explore. They are exceptional!
I would highly recommend and will definitely go back for these stellar services and amenities.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located near Kunming Cuihu Park. It is very close to Kunming Old Street, Wenlin Road, Huanggong East Street, the former site of Southwest Associated University and other check-in places. Just scan the electric car and you can go shopping. The facilities are newer, the environment is clean, and the breakfast is rich. There were some minor problems during the stay, but they were able to respond quickly and solve them in a timely manner, which reflected the professionalism and enthusiasm of the service. High praise.

AAnzac Travellerocation - Right next to the Jinma Biji Square but well shielded from the traffic noise. Short 5min walk across the busy Jinbi road to the Nanqiang Food Street. The location can't be beat.
Hospitality. What can I say. The staff were very helpful. There were free afternoon canapés, popcorn, coffee and the local rose petal pastry. At night, porridge was brought to our room for supper. Breakfast sets needed to be preordered the evening before. Mainly local selection, except for one western offering. When we returned after a day's out, there was a bucket in the room ready to soak your tied legs in. Very localised service. Kudos!
Room. The room was modern and well maintained. Very comfortable beds and good working air conditioning. Only downside was there was no view. Our room looked across a narrow alleyway to the next building. But not really an issue for us as sound proofing was quite good.
We really enjoyed staying here. Can't recommend it enough.

Pplushparadisecomfortable stay for a night stop over before an early flight the next day, it was a comfortable stay. the sheets were nice and soft. the toilet and showers are built such that they are individual cubicles, so the shower cubical doesn’t have any where to hang clothes/ towels, etc. all amenities provided, and there’s a laundry room with washer dryer to get your laundry sorted before continuing your trip.
shuttle bus to airport was 5am for a 7.40am flight, where it’s a “car pool” system, must book at time of check in.
night supper is a bowl of mien xian, basic. it’s a warm bowl to keep you going. there are no food options around outside of the building.

GGuest UserWe are Americans from Hong Kong and traveled to Kunming for our Easter holiday. The positives of this hotel: 1. it was beautiful. The design and furnishings were very well done and the room itself was exceptionally clean. 2. The owners were so kind. We arrived way after the tea time hour, but they still provided our family with cappuccinos and fresh fruit, free of charge. Both were delicious and our children were so excited about the gourmet coffee art. 3. The mattress in the main bed area was very comfortable. Not a typical “hard” mattress like many hotels in China. Another bonus: it was actually a KING size, which we rarely see outside the US! 4. The breakfast was Chinese style and the rice noodles were delicious! The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard area to eat outside. A few items to be aware of: 1. although the hotel was in a neighborhood near the lake, the neighborhood itself was a bit strange. We could tell it was meant to be a beautiful, well-to-do neighborhood of modern villas, but more than half the neighborhood was unused and/or under construction so it wasn’t as lively feeling in the evening because it was so dark and desolate seeming. It was beautiful in the daylight though! 2. This is not a big hotel chain, just an independent boutique style hotel operating in one of these villas. 3. There are no optimal eating spots near the hotel. You have to take a 20-30 minute Didi (taxi) ride to the nearest area with a lot of restaurants. However, if you like street food, there is a street food carnival area about 10 minutes away via walking (walk north along boardwalk bordering the lake.)
Overall, because of the kindness of the owners, the cleanliness and modernity, delicious breakfast, and comfortable mattress, we would definitely choose this hotel again for a one-night stopover.

Pros:
- Friendly, communicative atmosphere with staff and other guests, essential fot a good hostel
- bilingual service, mostly at front desk but elsewhere too
- regular weekly events
- cheap and convenient postcards for sale in the lobby to send home or have for a keep sake
- rooms have sufficient amenities
- food and drink option variety and affordability
- excellent location near cuihu (pretty lake district with good food options nearby) and the kunming laojie (old street)
- some basic things like water and convient noodles are sold at fair prices at the front desk
- information about tours and travel available in the lobby
- elevator available to access most rooms, though some stairs will be necessary in the lobby
Cons:
- some of the weekly events didn't seem to occur at all
- cleanliness wasn't perfect: some areas of the cafe have lots of flies and some parts of the room, such as the bathroom, had a bit of grime
- peanuts on a caesar salad? no! (I'm allergic to peanuts and didn't think to ask if they put peanuts on a caesar salad because it just isn't normally done)
- the prepaid breakfast options are too limited. some additional options for what toppings could go in the noodles or what fruit or jam you receive with the western breakfast would help a lot
- quality of some food items are just so so
- occaisionally a little noisy in the rooms (but that's just because a group of kids stayed nearby + it's a hostel so it's almost to be expected)

SSUMINWe are from Lijiang and are going back to Thailand. Stop over at Khun Ming for 1 night, choose a hotel near the walking street, surrounded by shopping areas. Coming to the hotel is easy, you can take the subway from the high-speed rail station, Line 2, Kunming Subway Station, pass 3 stations, change to Line 3 at Dongfeng Square Station, then continue 1 more station, get off at Wuyi Station. Exit this station and find a shopping area. Walk 2-300 meters to the hotel.
There are 2 medium-sized bedrooms, and the bathroom shares a door. It's quite stiff and doesn't move very well.
If you don't think too much about the quality of the room Selecting a location first is still acceptable.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location, right in the city center, not far from Nanping Pedestrian Street and Cuihu Park, which is very convenient for my travel. The boss's service attitude is also very good, kind and gentle to others. Great! The bed is also very comfortable to sleep on, and the decoration style is also the type I like. There is a North Railway Station next to it, and there are three subways, which is convenient to go anywhere. I will come to this hotel next time.
