Although the hotel is small, it is quiet and the facilities are relatively new. The young lady at the front desk can speak Chinese and speak softly and nicely. The location of the hotel is super close to Chion-in Temple, and the next street is not noisy. Take bus No. 206 at platform D2 of the north square of Kyoto Station (the station name is Chion-in-mae). I went with my friends to ring the big bell at the Chion-in Temple for the New Year's Eve, but it turned out to be an appointment only, so I'm so angry.

Nice (though simple) hotel & it’s conveniently located to explore Gion with many points of interest within walking distance.
Good transport links with 2 local train stations within a 10 minute walk & it’s just a bus ride away from Kyoto train station.

大通りや祇園からほんの少しだけ離れているので便利な立地なのに喧騒感がほとんどないです。
内装は和風を意識しているので外国人の方に受けそうですね。
フロントは外国の女性で（多分多国語対応できる方なのでしょう）とても丁寧で感じが良いです。
朝早くから神社仏閣巡りをしたい女性にもお勧めです。

This little oasis in the heart of Kyoto was welcoming and comfortable. It is close to public transport and restaurants. The name may be a bit misleading; fellas, you are welcome too, as long as you are accompanied by a woman. The receptionist spoke good English and made us feel so very welcome. She was very helpful and even gave us some ice on request. The beds are queen sized and super comfy. Rooms are very inviting and quite large with ample storage space. Free wifi and air conditioning. There is also a fridge. The hotel was formerly known as the Gion Hotel. Essentially it has not changed since then. Just as inviting and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was not available when we were here, but there are plenty of breakfast options close by.

The rooms are super clean and quiet. This hotel is fantastic! Great location that is right where you want to be - not in the busiest district but one with charm and walking distance to everything. Note at time of writing this the hotel is for couples and women only. Wow, best hotel we stayed in during our 10 day Japan adventure.
