Nayara Tented Camp

Nayara Tented Camp was absolutely amazing and far exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment you get on the premises there are friendly staff there to cater to your every need to make sure your stay is unforgettable. The golf cart drivers are helpful getting you to and from different locations throughout the resort as well as seeing hidden wildlife. There are several restaurants at Nayara offering different cuisine, helpful servers and delicious gourmet meals. The rooms are incredible and very well set up to feel like you have your own private retreat. The plunge pool was wonderful especially with the incredible view of Arenal volcano. Nayara offers diverse excursions with knowledgeable tour guides who quickly became our friends and gave us splendid experiences. The excursions were all so unique and breathtaking it’s hard to choose a favorite. Nayara made our 10 year anniversary so special and unforgettable we can’t wait to come back to visit!

This hotel has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, hands down. The property is stunning and the food was incredible, but the customer service was outstanding. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff was attentive and willing to go above and beyond. Special shoutout to Jess, our guest liaison, who made this trip so special for us, and to Issac who handled our transportation. We can’t wait to go back.

We loved Costa Rica and Nayara Tented camp was the cherry on the cake. The resort is beautiful, the suites are anmazing and luxurious and the without exception all staff were so friendly and attentive. Food, especially breakfast was awesome. Really can’t fault this place. We even saw a sloth right outside our property. It’s very expensive but worth it. TIP Don’t miss the free frog tour.

This is a revised review - from 4 stars to 5 STARS! The original review had a 1 star deduction due to an issue with our pool, but management reached out to me directly and promptly resolved the issue. This is a testament on to their service and professionalism. Hence, why they really deserve the 5 stars! We stayed here for 3 nights and would have stayed longer, but there was no availability. In spite of max capacity, the place never felt crowded and you feel like you have the place to yourself. It's perfect for couples and families as well. Service was top notch from check-in to check-out. Luggage was taken into our tent upon check-in and loaded into our rental car upon check-out. Room service was great and the food was delicious. Rooms were quiet, spacious and clean with great views of the volcano. Kids loved the outdoor shower and the plunge pool. FYI - the water is heated, but can be cooled down if need be by calling the front desk. We even saw howler monkeys from the pool. We had a private breakfast at our tent every morning. Food at all the restaurants was great, but my favorite was at Ayla. The grilled octopus was so delicious that I had it twice! We did not get to try the Asian fusion restaurant, but plan on doing it on our next visit. We hope to stay here again soon!

Was Exceptional service in paradise. The staff the ground the service was immaculate.we loved our stay with you, and thank you for paying attention to details and treating us like royalty. The quality of food and presentation was gorgeous. The spa treatment was like a dream come true in the jungle. Thank you for your amazing hospitality

This was a magical resort. We went during rainy season which was perfect. The volcano and hanging bridges had a mist and we also had bright sunny days to enjoy the pool - but don’t worry if it’s raining because the hot springs are even better when it’s raining! The staff at this hotel was the best we’ve ever encountered. Pablo picked us up and brought us to the resort - with a quick stop at a grocery store to grab some snacks and drinks. Levi and Hanzel were suburb tour guides. Tony helped my daughter name her new stuffed sloth - Perico. We highly recommend the private tours offered by Nayara. Levi took us to the hanging bridges where we saw snakes, sloths, frogs and more. Hanzel took on us the lava fields walk where we saw monkeys and a caiman. He was amazing with my timid and sometimes-cranky 6yr old and got him involved and made it so much more enjoyable. My daughter and I wanted to horseback ride but it was booked so they arranged a private ride for the same price! The unexpected perks are plentiful here. They try to deliver on everything you want and need and do it so well. We utilized the complementary laundry service after excursions and it was awesome to get our dirty horseback riding clothes back fresh. Nightly turn down was always enjoyed as we were given a sweet treat. The room was always spotless. Breakfast was delicious both in your room or at the restaurant - but I highly encourage the morning delivery because they go all out! We felt like royalty. We already want to come back to this fabulous resort.

While the accommodations and grounds at Neyara are exceptional, the staff there made our experience phenomenal. They truly exhibited the spirit of the Costa Rican people and attention to detail and friendliness are unmatched. We are already booking our return trip.

Review should really be 4.5 and here's why.... We stayed here for 3 nights and would have stayed longer but no availability. In spite of max capacity, the place never felt crowded. Service was top-notch from check-in to check-out. Rooms were spacious and clean. Food at all the restaurants was great but my favorite was at Ayla - the grilled octopus was delicious! The only 0.5 deduction from a perfect score is because our plunge pool at tent (31 S) had areas of broken tile on the edges that really needs to be repaired to avoid potential injury. I brought this to their attention upon check out so hopefully they will remedy this for future guest. This did not detract from our stay and recommend anyone to consider staying here if in the La Fortuna area. There's a reason why it's #1 and they definitely earned it.
