The female dorm room (4) was awesome. There were plenty of outlets to charge devices, plenty of storage for each person's luggage, comfy and spotless beds, and the room was super warm in winter! The hostel is quiet and modern, with gorgeous views across Lake Tekapo and a brilliant lounge with beanbags and sofas overlooking the view. The staff were super lovely and helpful. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. The location is right in the centre of the town near to the supermarket and Dark Sky Project centre.

Lake Tekapo is so beautiful! The color of the water is like emerald, and the snow-capped mountains in the distance are in sight. It feels like entering the Truman Show. These scenes are like a curtain, so beautiful that it is unreal! The hotel is very close to the lake, and the front desk is very friendly. After taking us to the room, they also kindly suggested that we park the car at the door for convenience. The room design is very beautiful and clean. The children can play in the bedroom for 2 hours, which is amazing! There are some places to eat nearby, fresh salmon, Japanese food, and pizza, all of which are delicious! There are also amusement facilities for children to play by the lake, which can be played for a whole day!

Absolutely, a wonderful place during the trip in Tekapo, which has spacious room and built-in kitchen that is easy to cook for yourself because the nearest fourth-quarter market is just 10 minutes walk. Itโs a self-service hotel and very easy to check in after you get your password from your e-mail to access in your ordered separate house. You can just walk away and enjoy the stunning view and food just alongside the small street.

Very enjoyable stay for two nights. Complete kitchenware enables me to cook formal meals. Room overlooking to Tekapo lake brings me unforgettable beautiful scene, relaxing and joyful.
The balcony is awesome. Sitting there I can see the lake and the grass near by.
The sitting room, dinning room and the kitchen are all spacious.
The bedroom is adjacent to grassland. I woke up in the warm beam of sunshine in the morning and opened the floor-to-ceiling window. I was immediately in the nature.
This is the most favorite hotel that I and my husband feel in our trip this time.

The room is relatively clean. It is equipped with a kitchen because it is a homestay. There are various tableware and kitchenware in the kitchen. You can cook your own food. It is wider than the house in front, so you can free up some space to see the mountains in the distance. The environment is very beautiful. I found a small pond in front.

The B&B is located in the center of Tekapo town, about 1-2 KM away from the Tekapo Lakeside Business District and the Church of the Good Shepherd, it's about 2-minute driving or a 10-15-minute walking. The entire B&B have the units, named one-bedroom unit (one bedroom, one living room and one bathroom), two-bedroom unit (two bedrooms, one living room and one bathroom) and three-bedroom unit (three bedrooms, one living room and two bathrooms). Each unit is independent and there is no shared space. Each unit is equipped with air conditioning, electric heaters, and electric blankets to ensure warmth and comfort. Free Wifi is provided in the B&B, and the network is high-speed and stable. The two-bedroom unit and three-bedroom unit are equipped with kitchens and necessary pots and pans, so that delicious food can be cooked on the trip. Please note: there is no kitchen in the one-bedroom unit.

Great little place to stay at during our visit to Lake Tekapo. With a quiet neighbourhood and beautiful views. It snowed while we were there, which was fantastic! We found the place to be nice and warm and the bed to be comfortable as well as the bathroom is great! Downsides were that some of the dishes were not clean, which put us off. Also someone had cooked curry in the microwave so it stunk out the microwave as well as half of the place smelt of curry. I would love to stay here again but expect that since a cleaning fee is paid that the placed is cleaned better.

Easy check in, very friendly, accommodating staff. Mantra was perfect for a family stay. There was plenty of room for the family, a good outside space and the garage in the middle of winter was fantastic. The upstairs heating in the bedrooms was amazing. However downstairs - main living, tv, kitchen, dining room was freezing. The gas fire was ineffective in the negative temperatures and even with an extra heater (which we requested), we were cold when downstairs. They have everything needed for a stay - full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Staff were great.

1. Very clean and hygienic
2. The newly built house has super new equipment, such as a large TV and a brand new air conditioner.
3. The owner of the house was considerate and gave us a big blanket, which is useful for watching the stars in the middle of the night.
4. The location is good, the starry sky is easy to see, and I even saw shooting stars๐
Not satisfied with the place
1. The bed will squeak and make a loud noise when you turn over, disturbing your sleep.
2. Construction of a new house at the door will start at 8am in the morning
3. The sound insulation effect is not good. You can hear clearly when walking next door in the middle of the night.

Booked 1 night accommodation through an on-line booking site (Expedia). Unfortunately there was a problem with the booking in that they hadn't included my child in the booking so the accommodation booked (motel room) could only accommodate 2 people. Thankfully the staff were fantastic and managed to find us an alternative option for no extra cost. The cabin we stayed in was fantastic and the place has undergone a massive upgrade since we last stayed here in 2011. The cabin was clean, cosy and we had everything we needed for our staff. Great BBQ available outside of the cabin which we made use of for dinner & brekkie and location is superb. An adventure when travelling with a 6 year old as accommodation felt very safe. (lots of families around due to scholl holidays). Easy 5 min stroll to Tekapo Hot Springs. Would recommend and advise to just book directly with the accommodation rather than an on-line secondary service.

MmisoraVery satisfied. You can clearly see the Milky Way and the Southern Cross and other constellations in the open space outside the door. You can take pictures with a tripod! Although it is winter, it is not cold when the heating is turned on! The kitchen supplies are also relatively complete, and the seasonings include salt and sugar. It is great to cook dinner by yourself!

FFayreWe are couple with a 5 year old girl. We paid SGD697.85 (Singapore dollar) for staying 2 nights in this โ2 bedroom apartmentโ as stated.
3 points here to explain the terrible experience.
1. tv remote is not working. I donโt mind the owner making excuse like โ replied customerโs message within 20minsโฆ..โ but they actually took 29mins to reply (19:10 till 19:39). In fact, they didnโt manage to change the tv remote in the end. So I stayed 2 nights without using the TV!
2.there is no clear and obvious description that this โ2 bedroom apartmentโ is actually an adjoining unit which means when u walked into the front door then there are 2 doors link to split parts of the apartment. The problem of adjoining units are thin walls are used to split the apartment into 2 small units. When u stay in this kind of apartment, u have to endure all kind of noises from whoever staying in neighboring rooms. We had 2 days enduring guesting from the other room shouting, slamming the door, kids screaming like crazy both early in the morning and afternoon!
3. When I reflect this bad experience with trip.com customer service, this hotel responded like they have no fault at all and played with words. This attitude makes us feel like being fooled. We paid money to expect to stay in an apartment with privacy and quiet environment but indeed we had such a bad experience!
In this market, if itโs an adjoining unit, they should not charge at the rate as if itโs an entire apartment.
Iโm alright that they rejected to refund the extra amount they charged. Just have to reflect the facts in the review.

There was ample heating.
Relatively near the main tekapo area (1 min drive).
House was spacious.
Cons:
The wifi password was handwritten badly and it was a guessing game to get the password. Also uncontactable via email.
No barricade around the house and thereโs other houses right next door. People could walk by your room / house windows and peer in. Which was what happened to me twice. Zero privacy unless curtains are fully drawn.
