Lakeway Resort and Spa

The service was very professional by all Staff. The facilities were really nice and clean and well maintained. Food was really good and served timely. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with great Staff.

Absolutely amazing resort! Restaurant, pool and spa, you never have to leave! The best part is easily the service though. They are always so great here and they definitely go above and beyond in their personal service to you the customer. They have a great restaurant and bar! The food is good and the bars are always open and ready to serve! My only complaint was it wasn’t busy and they closed the restaurant early….which I get but I almost felt like they rushed us out. However it was fine and we were happy to hit the other bar so the staff could go home since there were only two people there anyways.

If i had to describe my trip to Lakeway Resort and Spa, it would be with one word...HORRIBLE. The staff was not friendly at all. Every person on staff was not friendly. Its was almost kinda weird. Once we got settled in our room and went back to the front desk to get some guidance on things to do, etc, the lady at the front desk was on a personal call and never offered to assist us even as we stood there waiting. I knew it was a personal call judging by the conversation. When we asked another staff person directions to the lake, his response was "go that way". Thats it. The rooms were mediocre, DEFINTITELY NOT WORTH THE PRICE. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I really can't express enough how displeased we were.

Great resort with beautiful breathtaking views and lots of options for family fun. By far one of the best experiences I’ve had; that is until you get to the front desk. There was a particular employee that went by the name of “JM” (honestly don’t believe that’s her name). Upon waiting to talk to the front desk I noticed when the guests in front of me were finished talking to her and walking away she was making fun of them and acting childish and when I was trying to talk to her about booking two more nights she was rude so I ended up having to talk to the other desk person because she was just so rude . Ended up just leaving to finish my vacation at another resort. 😒

The staff were exceptionally helpful and always had a smile! My family loves this place, and I'm sure we will continue to visit this wonderful and relaxing place for years to come!

This resort WAS an area icon for decades. Unfortunately, whatever the problems it experienced in the recent past, we’re not remedied to bring it back up to its previous status. Our room had peeling paint. Other areas of the resort had buckling wallpaper and rotting wood. Not the standard one would expect of a starred resort. The gift shop is unmanned and stripped down to absolute minimum. As were other amenities and public areas. It is apparent resort owners are working on an extremely tight budget and have cut back. Nothing wrong with that. The overall staff seemed thin and beware! No valet parking! This frequent traveler would only rate this 2 stars. Poor Lakeway needs to start at the bottom, where they currently sit, and work its way back up.

All in all, Lakeway Resort is a beautiful place, despite the low level of Lake Travis. The property is laid out well & it has a good resort feel: laid back, plush, & something I think of when I hear of “yacht rock.” The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is, in all my attempts to call, in booking my stay, as well as questions while in our room, no one ever answered the phone. I called 3 times prior to booking to ask questions & no one answered. Staying at the resort, I called the property front desk / operator from our room twice to ask questions about amenities, & no one answered.
