Facilities: The overall facilities are quite comprehensive and very new. The capsule rooms are also relatively new and spacious. Hygiene: The hygiene is also good. Environment: The functional areas on each floor are very clearly divided. Service: The staff are very enthusiastic and patiently answered questions. (The shower area is large, there are many public restrooms, and you can see Tokyo Tower from the 10th floor. However, the hotel does not provide hot drinking water, and the toothbrushes are a bit stiff. Other than that, everything else is good.)

Nice and clean standard sized room for business hotel. Overall is what I expected from standard Japanese hotel with one safety concern of the vending machine/washing machine room. Around 22:00, I found people partying in the room and drinking alcohols sitting on the floor, they are not loud but the room is quite small which make it uncomfortable for those who actually go there to the vending machine or to wash their clothes. I wish hotel staff would regular check the room to prevent the room's misuse and make it comfortable for other guests. Upsides is the hotel is strategic location to reach the Haneda airport as it's only 800m away to Tokyo Monorail station which provides direct train to the airport. Other stations are Tokyo Metro Daimon station and JR Hamamatsuchō station which is 300m and 600m away, respectively.

My recent stay at the Richmond Hotel Tokyo Shiba was quite a shock, definitely not as good as previous Richmond stays. I encountered a lot of issues during my four nights there. First, regarding my request for 'no corner room' – I had communicated this in advance via Ctrip. However, each floor at this hotel is small with only a few rooms, so there's not really a distinction between corner or non-corner. But I was still assigned a corner room on the top floor, which was really inconvenient. If the elevators were busy, I had to wait quite a while 😂. Two elevators really aren't enough. Next, the cleanliness. On my first day, I didn't select the continuous stay option on the TV. The hotel's policy is to clean every three days. I changed it to have cleaning for the remaining three days. But, dramatically, the first cleaning was fine, while the second and third had issues. During the second cleaning, the hotel's cleaning staff left two of their rags in my room. I wrote a note, but received no response, giving me the impression they just thought 'oh well, it's in your room now' 😃. The third cleaning was very simplified, and some areas were clearly missed. As for the front desk, their English proficiency was quite limited, and sometimes they couldn't understand what I was saying. However, the female staff generally maintained a smiling service, while some of the male staff were expressionless. I originally chose this hotel because of its good location, close to the JR station, which was indeed convenient. It's also close to Shiba Shinmei Shopping Street, Shiba Park, and Tokyo Tower. But I'd say the service was mediocre 😂. The room was also quite small, and I felt there were too few power outlets.

My stay here was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around, and the room was spotless, well-equipped, and had a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and professional, always quick to help with any issues, which made me feel right at home. I'll definitely choose this place again if I have the chance and will recommend it to my friends! 👍

Chose this place because my roommate wanted to revisit it... Honestly, it was expensive with no redeeming features whatsoever... So overpriced! Completely not worth it. Let's talk about the environment – the only thing I can give high marks for. The surroundings are beautiful, giving off a feeling of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle. As for service, there was none. Among the several front desk staff, the younger Japanese ladies were okay, but what's with the grumpy old woman? Who is she putting on that sour face for? I stayed again a few days later, and the feeling was even worse... They insisted I use the machine for check-in, even though the front desk would have been quicker. They wouldn't let me use an available spot, instead giving it to a Japanese guest. The hygiene was very unsatisfactory. During my first stay, there were hair strands stuck all over the bathroom walls... On my second stay, the towel literally had a clump of dust on it... In the middle of the night, the footlight kept flickering on and off and I couldn't turn it off... Good thing I had a roommate, otherwise, being alone, it would have scared me to death!

The hotel is located in an alley, within walking distance of Tokyo Tower. You can even catch a glimpse of the tower's tip from the window, making it a great choice if you love the tower or plan to visit it specifically. It's also very close to the subway station, with the most convenient feature being the direct Access Express train on the Asakusa Line to Narita Airport, running every half hour. I was initially planning to take an airport bus from Tokyo Station, but then I found this direct route which saved me a lot of walking and was much quicker. However, the check-in process that evening took an unusually long time. The staff found two reservations under my name, one for one night and one for two nights, and I'm not sure where the mix-up happened. Even after I showed them my Japanese booking confirmation proving I had reserved for two nights, the staff still took a very long time to verify everything. Honestly, I'm not sure what they were trying to confirm. It wasn't that they couldn't find my reservation; rather, they found *two* under my name, so one of them had to be correct. Plus, my hotel confirmation clearly stated the booking code, check-in and check-out dates, and the number of nights. Everything was explicitly laid out. I don't understand why such a simple matter took over half an hour to resolve. I had flown in from Hakodate that evening and was already quite tired, just wanting to lie down immediately. The inefficiency of the staff during confirmation made me quite uncomfortable.

I think this is probably the best bang out of your buck when you stay in Tokyo. Clean, spacious (Tokyo standard) convenient. Daimon station is literally outside of your hotel, easy to get to airport as it has the Haneda express line. I was lucky to get the corner room which is a bit bigger and got one more window. The room service may not be everyday since you need to put the sign before 10am to let them know but the house keeper will leave you a bag of amenities anyway. There was good restaurants, McDonald’s and Lawson around. I went during new years so was good to see the shrine near Tokyo tower. The only nitpicky thing would be they checkout at 10am sharp and check in at 3pm? Whereas other hotels would be 2pm check in and check out at noon or 11.

GGuest User 2026.02.22
I LOVE THIS PLACE! The sauna, hot tub, and bathing facilities were all perfect, and evening snacks in the lounge were absolutely ideal. The capsules are spacious and clean, and most importantly the capsule rooms are very quiet. I was in an upper bunk, which is what I prefer, and although that puts me closer to the (always-on, dim) room lights, they never kept me up. The storage locker was very big and I really appreciated the way the physical key was tucked inside the room key/wristband, which was convenient. If there's one thing to keep in mind, though, it's that there are no individual shower cubicles on the lodging floors, and I was kind of worried about what I would do if my period came early. That didn't happen, but it's something to keep in mind for longer trips. I stayed six nights, and everything was perfect.

The location is quite good, about a 5-minute walk from Shiba Park Station and 10 minutes from Hamamatsucho. I found the room size to be adequate, typical for Japan. The cleanliness wasn't a major issue, but what might bother most people are the facilities, as the hotel is indeed a bit old. There's even an old-fashioned bedside radio and a built-in light switch that's hard to find if you don't look carefully. The key is also an old-style one, which actually suits my taste. The Tokyo Tower view is absolutely stunning, but whether you get a room on that side depends on luck.

I checked in the night before CM107 Day 2. For just over 100 per night, and with its super convenient location for taking the Seagull to Odaiba (or the Monorail to the airport), the price is definitely unbeatable. The subway Daimon Station is right downstairs, along with convenience stores. Staff service made check-in easy. The bed was quite firm, which I actually found comfortable after not sleeping well on soft beds the previous two nights. There's a light inside the capsule, but only one two-pin socket, which was a bit insufficient.

KkhosodaI had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by every aspect of the experience. The cleanliness was exceptional—everything from the room to the common areas was spotless and very well maintained. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, providing more than enough space to relax after a long day. The location is another major highlight. It is very convenient and well-situated, making it easy to access nearby attractions, transportation, and restaurants. This made my stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm and professional attitude. Their hospitality truly made a difference. The food was also delicious, with a great variety of options and excellent quality. Every meal I had was satisfying and enjoyable. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

GGuest UserQuite a disappointing stay. I initially thought it was a Dormy Inn because the first characters of the name were the same, and it was also a hot spring hotel, which made it very confusing. The service here was a world apart from Dormy Inn. The room was incredibly small. The breakfast in the pictures looked very rich, and I thought it would be a lavish buffet, but it turned out to be just a bento box, and they didn't even provide cutlery. The price wasn't cheap either. It really ruined my mood. The hot spring was also tiny, and they didn't even provide hair dryers in the hot spring area.

MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.
