Location is excellent. Very clean. Walking distance to many shops that we wanted to go. Staffs are friendly and helpful. However there were only 2 washing machines and each wash takes more than two hours. Queue can be challenging especially when there are many people staying. And also there are no hot water dispenser at the pantry ground floor. Have to take cold or room temp water in kettle and bring to room to boil for a cup of hot tea or coffee. Other than that, this hotel is recommended due to its location.

The duvet in the room was a bit thin, so it felt cold in winter unless the air conditioning was turned up high, which then made the room very dry. I tried to ask the front desk for an extra blanket, but they didn't have any. The room did come with a humidifier and was otherwise well-equipped. The location is good, right in the city center, though it's about a 5-minute walk to any subway line. The breakfast was very Japanese-style with lots of options, but the taste was just average. We booked two nights with breakfast included but only went once. It felt more like a gimmick than genuinely good food, so I wouldn't particularly recommend it. Also, I have to mention that many hotels in Japan now employ Indian staff for cleaning. When we checked in, three Indian employees were chatting in the hallway, which resulted in a strong curry smell throughout the corridor. They also didn't greet us, which is quite unusual for Japanese hotels. The same happened while waiting for the elevator; they were loudly chatting in the hallway as if no one else was there. This really needs improvement.

I had a wonderful stay at lyf Ginza Tokyo! The location is fantastic — right by the metro and within walking distance to Ginza, Tokyo Station, and plenty of shops and restaurants, which made getting around the city super easy. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with thoughtful design that made the most of the space (even if it was a bit cozy). The staff were friendly, English-friendly, and very helpful throughout my stay. I also enjoyed the communal areas — great spots to relax, work, or grab a coffee. Overall, a great base in Tokyo with a fun, stylish vibe. I’d happily stay here again!

This hotel is tucked away in a quiet alley on Ginza 1-chome. Upon check-in, they thoughtfully provided foot patches and a hot eye mask, which proved to be incredibly effective. Across the street, you'll find all three major convenience stores: Lawson, 7-Eleven, and FamilyMart, along with several restaurants. If you're tired from exploring, the ramen shop across the street offers very reasonably priced meals. The Big Camera store, just diagonally across, opens around 9:30 AM, making it perfect for travelers who want to do some last-minute shopping before departing. Next to the 7-Eleven, there's a drugstore with better prices than Matsumoto Kiyoshi and offers tax-free shopping. It's worth checking out their shelves first, as it could save you the hassle of carrying heavy purchases all the way through Ginza.

The location is very convenient, but the nearest subway exit doesn't have an elevator. You need to do your research beforehand, otherwise, you'll end up like me, rushing to catch a flight and taking the closest entrance, lugging your suitcase downstairs – it was exhausting. Within the Ginza area, shopping and dining are a breeze. Plus, if you walk towards Tsukiji, it's not the bustling Ginza at all; it's a very quiet neighborhood.

The hotel is very close to the subway station. They don't provide bottled water, as the bathroom water is stated to be drinkable. There's a Lawson convenience store right downstairs, which is super convenient. If you're short on energy, you can take one subway stop to Ginza; otherwise, it's a manageable walk. The room itself was nothing special, but perfectly adequate, and good for light travelers, as our triple room didn't have space to fully open our luggage – the aisle was very narrow. However, that's a common issue in Tokyo, so it's acceptable. It was generally quiet at night.

I traveled alone and my room is for 1-2 ppl. I enjoyed my stay. Staff are very cheerful, sincerely and helpful. The location is excellent which the metro exit is next to the hotel but the exit is only stairs. Those travelers who have big luggage might be very concerned. There are many restaurants nearby also convenience store. The room is very neat very tidy but a bit crowded if 2ppl. Not much space for your luggage. The amenities are great! I loved the onsen so much!! Because i came for Garmin Run Aisa and it helped me recover alot! I probably recommend my fds to come and I will come next time for my trip to Tokyo.

The hotel environment is very good. There is also a cafe on the first floor, and the room will provide clean raincoats every day. Although disposable supplies need to be picked up on the first floor by yourself, it is also very convenient. There is also an ice machine on the second floor, a gym, microwave oven, washing machine. Everything is very convenient. The self-service check-in and check-out at the front desk is very convenient. I like Japan so much that I hope to stay here again next time. This trip to Japan has added some surprises.

The biggest plus for this hotel is its excellent location and reasonable price. It's close to a subway station, and there are various supermarkets downstairs with plenty of dining options. Mitsukoshi and Matsuya department stores are also within walking distance. However, the breakfast was quite disappointing; the quality wasn't good, and we skipped it for two days even though our booking included it. The room was a bit small, but the bathroom was quite spacious. A great perk was the wide selection of toiletries provided by the hotel, but you had to pick them up yourself from the lobby in the afternoon.

BBananeSecond time in this hotel and I liked it very much. The hotel is around ~8 minutes walking from Ikebukuro station North West exit. You can choose your pillow, get a pajama and take a bath. If you don't use toothbrush you can give back to the lobby and get a little snack which I did to try Japanese local snacks. The size of the room is okay for solo travelers. The breakfast is self service with japanese and western cuisine. And the staff are just so kind. I highly recommend if you're looking for modern Japanese experience.

MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.

GGuest UserHere's a review of a hotel located in the heart of Akasaka, offering easy access to two subway lines. It's a quiet business-boutique hotel with more spacious rooms than similar establishments, making it ideal for commuting to the city center or exploring Roppongi/Akasaka. **Key Highlights (Reasons to Choose This Hotel):** 1. **Dual Subway Access + Central Akasaka – Convenient for Anywhere:** * Approximately a 4-minute walk to Akasaka Station and a 6-minute walk to Tameike-Sanno Station, covering multiple lines for easy access to Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Tokyo Station. Haneda Airport is about 45-60 minutes away. * Within walking distance of Roppongi, Tokyo Midtown, and Akasaka Sacas, boasting vibrant shopping and dining areas. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located downstairs, making daily life easy. * The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, making it a better option for rest compared to Shinjuku or Shibuya. 2. **More Spacious and Well-Designed Rooms Than Other Japanese Hotels in the Same Category:** * Standard rooms are approximately 15-18 sqm, larger than most business hotels in Tokyo, allowing two large suitcases to be opened without feeling cramped. * Comfortable bedding with memory foam/low-rebound pillows. Bathrooms feature bathtubs and smart toilets, with stable water pressure and temperature. Amenities are comprehensive. * Good natural light, with most rooms feeling bright and airy. Cleanliness is up to Japanese standards. 3. **Practical Facilities, Suitable for Long Stays/Families:** * A coin-operated laundry room is available on the 12th floor (washing 300 JPY/drying 100 JPY), and microwaves are on multiple floors, friendly for long-term guests. * A small, complimentary gym on the 3rd floor is a bonus for business travelers or fitness enthusiasts. * Cribs/children's amenities can be arranged, making it family-friendly. The front desk offers multilingual service, with fluent English, and handles luggage storage/package receiving efficiently. 4. **Consistent Service, Thoughtful Details:** * The front desk staff is enthusiastic and professional, responding quickly. Small items like chargers and hair straighteners can be borrowed, with some guests reporting feeling 'valued'. * Free high-speed Wi-Fi is stable. Some periods offer guidance.

GGuest UserShinjuku Granbell Hotel was my accommodation choice during this Tokyo Shinjuku trip. Part of the design-oriented Granbell chain, the hotel opened in 2013 and expanded with additional rooms in 2016. It has a modern and stylish vibe overall, making it a good fit for travelers who enjoy a bit of personality and contemporary feel. The rooms are decent—not particularly spacious (typical for central Tokyo hotels), but the design is pleasant and they come with Simmons mattresses, so the bed is comfortable to sleep in. What stands out is that the hotel has a very large number of rooms (reportedly over 400 in total), making it a mid-to-large-scale property. Check-in can occasionally feel a bit busy in the lobby due to the volume of guests, but operations run smoothly. Room types are quite varied, from standard doubles to loft-style rooms, offering good flexibility when booking. Location is one of the more debated aspects of this hotel. It is very close to the heart of Shinjuku—right inside Kabukicho—so you’re surrounded by endless restaurants, izakayas, convenience stores, drugstores, and nightlife. Walking distance covers popular spots like Korean Town in Okubo or Golden Gai, which makes evening strolls and late-night eating extremely convenient. However, if you rely on the subway, the nearest station (Higashi-Shinjuku) is about a 4-minute walk (official figure), but to reach the major hubs like JR Shinjuku Station or Shinjuku-sanchome Station, it usually takes around 15 minutes on foot (depending on your exact route, and sometimes you have to navigate through the lively Kabukicho crowds). For someone who enjoys walking, it’s manageable, but dragging large luggage or walking in the rain might feel a bit inconvenient. In short, the location is highly central and vibrant, but it’s not quite “step out the door and you’re at the station” level. Room cleanliness is acceptable—daily housekeeping is thorough, with bathrooms, bedding, and floors kept in good condition, and no noticeable odors or mess. Everything feels clean and comfortable enough for a pleasant stay, but there is nothing particularly outstanding about it. The decor follows a simple modern style, facilities are standard (free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, fridge, etc.), and while functional, it doesn’t wow you. Bathrooms are on the small side (normal for Tokyo), but hot water is reliable and usage is fine. They also offer free loan of air purifiers or humidifiers, which is a nice small touch. Other minor highlights include the rooftop terrace (great for night views or a drink on clear evenings), a café, and a bar with decent atmosphere. Breakfast is an additional charge, but with so many dining options nearby, skipping the hotel breakfast is never an issue. In summary, Shinjuku Granbell Hotel isn’t a top-tier luxury property, but if you’re looking for a lively Shinjuku location, moderate design appeal, clean and practical rooms, and surroundings full of energy and food options at a mid-range budget, it’s a solid and pragmatic choice. The large number of rooms means availability tends to be reliable. While the walk to major stations takes about 15 minutes, for anyone wanting to fully immerse in Shinjuku’s nightlife and buzz, that actually becomes an advantage. Overall value for money is above average. Recommended for first-time Shinjuku visitors who want a fun, convenient, and comfortable base without breaking the bank!

WWeiHooI have tried a few capsule hotels, this is by far the worst. My capsule was on the fifth floor, but the lockers are located on the fourth floor which is very inconvenient since the shower is on the eighth floor. There is a sitting area outside the capsule room which is an unsightly mess as shown in the pictures. The mattress is hard and uncomfortable. What bothered me the most is the door that supposed to shun off the noise from outside, made a loud noise when it closes. I wonder if they are not aware of it or no one complains to them. Imagine how many people comes in and out the entire night and the cranky noise disturbed my sleep. I hope the management will be made known of this default. I will never come back again.

GGuest UserThe hotel has a free shuttle to Disneyland. The airport limo bus stops directly at the hotel. No house keeping. The rooms are very small. Can probably open one luggage at a time. Take note that during winter, the aircon is on heater mode. The room is very hot and stuffy. Only returned to the room at night, hence the temperature was still bearable. If during the day, I think the room will be extremely hot without the aircon.

GGuest UserNice experience!Overall I recommend it for solo travellers. The location is central and it is close to metro stations. Also, the bedsheets are changed everyday, you get clean pyjama and towels everyday. One thing that was annoying is the size of the lockes, it is very small and little bit inconvenient with the card sistem. Also keep in mind that you have to be out of the hotel during the certain hours due to cleaning.

BBep SumangIt was a nice experience staying at Hotel Centurion Ueno. The location is very convenient, with train stations nearby and a convenience store just across the lot. There are also several restaurants in the area, as well as easy access to Ueno Park, Ueno Zoo, and the Ameyoko street market. The room is small but can accommodate two average-built persons. Although the hotel was under renovation at the time, overall it was still an awesome stay, and I give it a 👍👍.
