Rembulan is a great hostel but not for everyone. The atmosphere and vibe is excellent, plenty of moments to meet new travelers and hang out. The owners also operate a very good vegan cafe next door and if you’re lucky; a fantastic little coffee van with great third wave brews until around 2pm daily. The showers and bathrooms were fine but not fancy. Kitchen is actually quite serviceable and the lounge area is comfy (you might find four or five adorable kittens running around). Beds are very firm but to be expected in this area. I imagine summer would be warm due to AC being shared with other rooms. Location was good, a 5 or 10min walk to the Main Street and beaches but away from the hustle. If you’re looking to slow down and chill for a few days, this is a good no frills option.
