Family-friendly Hotels in Lanzarote

Fantastic Hotel. Very grand and luxurious. Reception staff are brilliant, as are the cleaners, maids, kitchen and bar staff. The hotel is kept in a good, clean condition inside and out. Rooms are a great size and the 2nd room we stayed in (a Premium twin 1312), had an amazing sea view. A great choice and variety at breakfast, catering for all tastes and nationalities, you will not go hungry. Pool area was nice and clean, but despite notices everywhere (including in your room), the sad and selfish early morning sun lounger claimers were out in force, but there are plenty available so you’ll not miss out. Location was ideal for us, away from the hustle of a main resort, yet only a 30 minute walk to the main resort of Playa Blanca, along a great coastal path. Halfway along this path to Playa Blanca is Flamingo beach, which is a nice little area with a supermarket, a beach and few decent places to eat, or stop for coffee/ ice cream (which we did regularly). Alternatively a short walk up the hill to the main road/dual carriageway, from the hotel, there is a bus stop that will take you into Playa Blanca for 1.40 Euros pp, or reception will telephone a taxi for you, which cost under 5 Euros one way. We didn’t use all the amenities at the hotel, as we explored a lot, but what was there was ample. Lounge bar on a night was nice for a quiet drink at the end of the evening. A couple of restaurants available, only 5 minutes walk away, if you turn left out of the main entrance of the hotel, we can highly recommend the Italian. Small supermarket over the road from the hotels main entrance was good but pricey, plus there is a small bar/restraunt next to this, with extremely unwelcoming staff, from our own experience, hence we only went there once and spent our Euros at establishments that did deserve our hard earned. Overall you won’t be disappointed at this hotel, the staff are amazing, the hotel caters for everyone and they were extremely helpful and efficient when it came to a room issue that we had (hence the 2nd room). Most holidaymakers that we spoke there to at the hotel, were repeat visitors, which says a lot and we can’t wait to return in the future ourselves. Thanks to all at the Hipotel Natura Palace.

Upon arrival room was ready and had to check in at 5pm we arrived at 1pm. There is no where to store luggage safely so be prepared to leave it in a room any guest has access too. The bungalows are really really tired. I'm talking holes in the walls, tape on the door. Locks on the front doors not working and having screws hanging out, Rust in the bath tub etc. There is also no air con so be prepared to either open a window and get eaten alive by mosquitos or sweat the night away. The kitchen was so bad it had swelled chipboard on the cupboards sockets that didn't work and dated appliances. We didn't use the pool because the minute we arrived toy could just see how poorly maintained it was and we didn't want to risk it. I'm talking rust inside the pool and on the bottom you could see stones or some sort of debris which just put us off. After our first day one of the small pools was shut off. Didn't bother us as again they looked grim and dirty. They only clean your room 3 days a week and it's not a big clean as our room still had hairs on the floor. The only plus side is the location. It's really near the sea and along as your fit you can walk along the front to a few different beaches and bars. I myself would never return as honestly I'm lay in bed here at 5 am dripping in sweat as I can't sleep as it's too hot and opening a window will be opening the door to a feast for mosquitos.
