Room 120 is awfully loud. It backs up to the laundry room and no guest should be given this room without fair warning and a discount. Sounded like someone dribbling a basketball which I guess was something banging around in the washer. Then carts rolling. Just an awful sleep experience Otherwise the hotel was clean, breakfast was good, and the front desk was friendly

Stayed her one night as it has great proximity to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. The room was a standard Fairfield configuration and was clean. We noticed there was no soap provided in the room. When we called down to the front desk, they said they were out of supplies and they suggested that if we had brought our own personal shampoo, to use that as an alternative. Things did not get better when we went to breakfast. They were out of milk and creamer for coffee. Had not hot breakfast options and just a few packaged muffins, hard boiled eggs but no fruit (not even bananas or apples). The told me at checkin, since their occupancy was low, they would put us on the "quiet side". We locked out and could see train tracks. So we though maybe the highway noise was louder than the train. It was definitely not quiet as trains consistently passed by through the night. I inquired to General Manager Kelsey Swanson, but was told that "supply chain issues" were to blame, and that their hands were tied. We checked-out and headed for Carlsbad Caverns. As a Gold Elite member, there was no recognition during the stay and essentially we were told to "get over it" and due without soap inthe bathroom or any passable breakfast for the rate.

Quick and friendly check in - don’t miss the cookies 😃. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. You can see a little wear and tear, but it’s not an issue. The lady attending the breakfast buffet did a great job - everything was hot and delicious. This hotel has a nice pool and a workout room. Towel Score 4 out of 5. Laundry Room Score 5 out of 5 (inexpensive, and you only need to run the dryer for one cycle to get you clothes dry).

Dirty curtains with stains, they looked like they had never been change or washed in years. Some bathroom smell moldy and like it had been clean properly. When I check in I was offered water. There was 2 of us and they only gave us 1. I did not look at the room that first night since we had a lot to do. When I got up. I told my husband it smells in here. We need to move hotels. As I was leaving I informed the hotel staff said they will make sure the cleaning staff will know. I will never stay at that hotel. Ever.

We stayed here one night while on a driving trip. The room was comfortable. We thought it was clean but the shower curtain reeked of mildew. Front desk staff was very apologetic. Bedding was comfortable as was the HVAC system. Breakfast was plentiful and warm. Coffee was on the cool side.

24 hours with no hot water. The hotel cannot figure out how to fix. or replace a water heater. No one in this hotel has taken a bath or a shower in 24 hours. It smells like a homeless shelter (but costs more). Customers are gathered in the lobby asking for help that never comes. OMG. 40 years as a Marriott customer and - THIS? The front desk people are earnest but hapless. I am too old to take a shower in freezing cold water. My 2nd worst Marriot experience, EVER. In 40 years of travel. JHFC people.

This was a nice clean quiet comfortable hotel. The staff is very friendly. The cookies at check in are a nice touch. There is a great brewpub right next door. There are a lot of selections for breakfast including blueberry scones the day we were there. I would definitely stay here again.

UPDATE FROM YESTERDAY since I cannot see any way to EDIT yesterday's porr review. That was venting frustration, and, apparently edits are not possible (?) Regardless - The staff did the best they could in a difficult situation. Worked to place customers in other hotels AND got the water heater working, as soon as they could. A mess, yes but they worked through it.
