Stayed 1 night @$170/night for a standard twin room at the beginning & another 1 night at the end of our holiday. The rate includes a complementary continental breakfast. Good location up near the town's beautiful water tanks & not far from the main street. Carparking is at the front of the building. The hotel is a beautiful art deco building with a nice entrance, huge foyer & very pleasant & informative check in. First up we were allocated room 10 on the 1st floor. The stairway is a good gradient making access easy. Our room has french doors opening onto the verandah running along the front of the building & overlooks the water tanks. The french doors have security screens. The single bed is in the entrance to the room & a double bed in an alcove. Both very comfortable with electric blanket on the double bed. The air con is efficient & whisper quiet. Wifi is free & works well. Fully renovated spacious bathroom with a rain shower. We had made a reservation for dinner. Held in the bar, there is a good menu full of variety. We chose the beef cheeks & duck breast both with fresh veg, with the house merlot. I like there are plenty of local wines available. Thought the food quality excellent, at a reasonable rate. The staff are very professional & friendly. It was very quiet & we had a good nights sleep. On the return visit we were allocated room 8 on the ground floor overlooking the back of the property. Same room configuration, but the outlook wasn't as nice. The complementary breakfast was served in a room downstairs. It was self service with plenty of choice. Cereals, breads, juices, fruit & spreads with tea & coffee. This is a nice comfortable place to stay with lots of old world charm. We would certainly stay here again. The great rain shower & complementary breakfast are wonderful.
