It is a really a good hotel! Some of the staff speak English and they try to help you all the time.

We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options. The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.

It’s one of the nicest hotel compare to other hotels in Tibet. Staff weren’t the friendliest people but they are okay. Sometimes there’s door man sometimes no. Corridor is carpeted so it’s hard to push the luggages but you can always ask the hotel staff to help you. Location is a bit far from where all the buzz is… but easy to take a didi to the main area. Overall you basically paid more for standard shangrila standard. Comfortable bed.

Stayed in many 5atar hotels in my time and by far this hotel has the best service and professionalism! Reception, food and beverage Mr Thomas and GM Ms Claudia! We were suppose to stay at the intercontinental on our last night but decided to stay at Shangri-La. The buffet was amazing and having the oxygen bar to relax was superb! Thank you

Arrived first time in Lhasa. The Hotel have the perfect location for the city. The staff amazing. Very helpful. Breakfast delicious. Ths Oxygen Room is a big plus. It helps you alote against the altitude sickness. The GM Ms Claudia she was very helpful and runs an amazing hotel. It was a plessure to stay there

The hotel is indeed a super 5-star hotel, with very good service. I had altitude sickness in Lhasa. I arrived on the same day and there was no room for the time being. The front desk asked me to go to the oxygen bar on the first floor to rest. I would notify you when I was better. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel was very delicious. The altitude sickness suddenly became serious that afternoon. Fortunately, the hotel had a medical room. I got better soon after getting an IV drip. The doctor was very responsible and came to see the IV drip from time to time and asked about my health. The hotel's telephone customer service was very good. The phone was answered immediately, and there was almost no waiting. The hotel is equipped with 24-hour oxygen machines and blood oximeters. After the altitude sickness that day, I asked the customer service for an oxygen machine. The mineral water in the room was unlimited, and there were also portable oxygen cylinders and fruits for free. It was great service, and the breakfast was very rich.

You can always trust Shangri-La! I felt the warmth when I checked in. Ashley Chen wrote the luxury club privileges and reminded me to slow down and not to take a shower on that day. Happy Hour: Good environment, rich variety, the lady from Ya'an is nice, the service is very good👍 The dishes of Shang Palace are as stable and delicious as always😋

The hotel is pretty good in Tibet. The facilities are a bit old, the rooms are not big, and the diffuse oxygen supply makes people feel comfortable, but the oxygen concentrator is too loud, so you can't turn it on when you sleep at night. The service level is not inferior to Shangri-La in other places. When checking in, they asked if you were uncomfortable, measured your blood oxygen, and detailed how to seek help if you were uncomfortable. The hotel has a medical room, but my friend and I didn't go there because our altitude sickness was not serious. The hotel concierge service is also very good. The ******* guy delivered takeout to the room several times. The hotel is very close to the Tibet Museum and can be reached on foot. It is not far from the Potala Palace and Barkhor Street, but it is still not possible to walk, so you need to take a taxi.

The room was very clean and quite big. It was my first time in Lhasa and I was worried about altitude sickness, so I chose Shangri-La Hotel. Zhuoma called one day in advance to ask if there were any requirements for the room. The service at Shangri-La was impeccable [strong]

Very good check-in experience. I called in advance to inquire about the arrival time, reserved a clean room in advance, and upgraded to a suite. There is a large dining table, and the food is delivered to the door without going downstairs. It is very convenient. The ******* and Sichuan cuisines of Shang Palace are delicious. I had dinner on the first day and lunch on the second day. It is worthy of being the most popular hotel in Lhasa. The room is fully equipped, and oxygen tanks, ******* sweet tea, etc. are provided. I especially like the small pool in the shower room. Danny Bowen at the front desk is very friendly. He introduced the hotel in detail and cared about whether the journey was tiring, making people feel at home.
