Firstly I’d like to start by mentioning the staff who worked very hard and were polite. The buffet food was tasty and the breakfast chef was always smiling and saying hello. We loved the food and enjoyed the salads. The room we had was superior with sea view and it was everything we needed was clean and well presented. Loved the shower room and the cosmetics were a nice touch the shower gel smelt so nice. The people that made the room up each day did an amazing job at keeping our room nice and clean throughout our stay. We did have a massage and found the spa staff amazing and very knowledgable. The bad points The additional charges when you’ve already paid £2000 for an all Inclusive holiday was a bit disappointing for us. We had to pay to rent a sun bed each day which ate into our budget. The all inclusive drinks menu wasn’t great and had to spend more money to get better drinks. The bar area is very dark and dingy and the bar is open to the public so at times we were waiting for a drink. The drinks were served in plastic cups and it felt that all inclusive guests were not the priority. The pool is very small and we didn’t use it for this reason. The cats I felt so sorry for as some of them had injuries and the male cats not neutered so were fighting a lot. Why haven’t you got a basic feeding station for the cats? I felt so bad for them I went and brought cat food and fed them each night. I feel you need to look after them and care for them and not just use them as a tourist attraction for your guests. I didn’t like that most of the areas were for smoking. I don’t find it pleasant to eat a pizza with a sea view and having to breathe in the smoke of other tables around me. I don’t understand why you can’t have no smoking areas? Not everyone wants to be around that and passive smoke, get cancer and die. I did mention it to the waiter in the al a cart restaurant over the road as it was ruining my meal. He moved the table behind me but was surprised I had a problem with it in the first place. I also saw people at the bar area smoking in front of the bar staff and nothing was mentioned even though that area was signed as being no smoking. It wasnt pleasant being around this and started to annoy me. It wasn’t worth the money we paid and I think you need to tighten up on a few things I’ve mentioned to provide a better experience for your guests this made the experience all very average for us and nothing special.
Hersonissos Palace

If your looking for all 5 stars of luxury…..then this is not the hotel for you , however, if you are looking for an average 3 star, comfortable and clean hotel then you’ll be just fine! We have just checked out after staying here for 4 nights. The rooms themselves are what save this hotel. Incredibly clean, lovely 4 post bed with a nice sized balcony. Cleaned each day to a high standard and all you need, with a nice size bathroom and shower. The food is your average all inclusive selection, we didn’t eat in the evening here as chose to eat out however did make use of the breakfast selection and lunch. It was ok. Not wonderful but served it’s purpose. The drinks are awful!!! Very watered down and cocktails just taste….odd!?!! I didn’t find one drink that I liked, even the soft drinks at breakfast were not nice. My partner said the beer was ok. Wine is very watered down and almost vinagery tasting! For one night of your stay you can eat at the beach bar included in the all inclusive, which we were looking forward to and you pre-book your table. There’s one choice of starter, 2 deep fried mozzarella sticks, 2 onion rings and 2 deep fried chicken wings. Then you have a choice of two salads, which to be fair the goats cheese one was very tasty. Then you can choose a burger, I chose the chicken, expecting a chicken fillet. I couldn’t eat it, it was just a processed chicken burger, soggy and tasteless, straight out of a freezer! One option for desert, all the above was quite dissatisfying and left feeling quite yucky! The pool area near the bar is kept nice and clean and so is the rest of the hotel, the cleanliness is the main positive. Sunbeds go very early and not many around the pool, there is a second pool but we didn’t go to this so can not comment on that. Location is close to the beach and slightly out of the main stretch, which is nice. We didn’t find noise to be a problem at all. We rented a car and found some lovely places to visit so overall had a really nice stay, hotel was adequate as a base for the few nights we were here but not sure how it’s gained a 5 star rating, we have stayed in nicer 4 star hotels. With a few improvements, this hotel could be much better than it currently is, however it’s not terrible either!
Akasha Beach Hotel & Spa

We had a great time, the facilities and service are excellent. We were disappointed with the food, both the breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only food that was tasty and appropriate for the hotel level was the food that was paid extra in the restaurant on the beach/pool. There is no free drink, the water is sold at a price 13 times higher than in nearby supermarkets. Even if you arrive very early all the beds in the pools are taken/kept, people keep them even while they go for a few hours to eat/sleep, but the hotel employees, unfortunately, do nothing about it.
Kahlua Boutique Hotel

My family and I made our first trip to Greece this year. We booked our trip through Travel Us and they made the arrangements with Kahlua boutique hotel and all transport arrangements via Cristian Tour. Everything was perfect! The hotel was fantastic. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, clean swimming pool, amazing breakfast and, most important of all, the staff at the hotel were amazing! Even on our last day, since we had an early flight, they made us packed lunches that were ready at reception at 6am. All I can say is that this hotel is the best I have ever stayed in...and I've travelled to several countries. Also, the price was excellent for the service and quality received. We felt right at home and for the first time, it was difficult for me to go home! I would have stayed another week if I could. The Kahlua Bar staff were superb too. If you want to really relax and enjoy a top class holiday...this hotel will make you feel like a million bucks!
Cook's Club Hersonissos Crete

My boyfriend and I (in our mid 20s) stayed at this amazing hotel for two weeks this September and had the best time. It is located on the ***** in Hersonissos which is perfect as you are only a few minutes walk away from lots of restaurants, bars, shops and the beach front. A big big thank you (which just isn’t enough) to the lovely staff here for being so welcoming, friendly, knowledgable, always happy to help and extremely attentive - Dimitra, Eva, Erica, Eirini, Stratos, George, Mila, Stav, Gregory, Jonathan, Marta, Leo and Mila - you are all fabulous!!! The hotel is lovely, modern and is a perfect mix of relaxation with holiday party vibes. We booked the large double room which was very spacious and cleaned everyday, with towels and bedding changed as requested - the cleaning team work so hard to keep the hotel spotless, thank you! Our room was located at the front of the hotel, on the *****, however we could not hear any noise and were really grateful for this. On our first night, the air con was not as cold as we were hoping for. We reported this to the reception team the next morning and it was sorted within a couple of hours which was great. The food at the hotel was just delicious and tasted so fresh whilst being so reasonably priced and huge portions - some highlights were the chicken breast meal, pork belly noodles, chicken caesar salad (the best salad I’ve ever tasted), pancakes, club sandwich and the strawberry milkshakes were heaven. The sun loungers and bean bags around the pool were really comfy and the hotel provided you with fresh pool towels as required. No reserving - towels and belongings were removed from sun loungers / bean bags by pool staff if guests had left them unattended for a long amount of time which we thought was extremely fair and you don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a sun bed! There were different DJs on throughout our stay in the pool area from around 1-6pm, which ourselves and other guests enjoyed. Some evenings there was entertainment - movie night, jukebox night, live band, DJ & violin duo, saxophonist and football was played on the big screen one of the nights. Perfect if you want to have a chilled evening by the pool with a cocktail! The hotel also has an app which is great. You are able to speak to reception 24/7 using a ‘live chat’ if required, read on news & events coming up, the list of services available, food and beverages list and e-wallet / room charges tab if this is how you were paying for food and drinks. We would highly recommend this excellent hotel and the area of Hersonissos, Crete! It is the best holiday we have had yet and we are so excited to visit again in the future. We really didn’t want to come home after an unforgettable stay!
Acropolis Apartments

We spent 2 nights at the Acropolis Apartment (25-27 August), but with the sign of then we would have been longer! The apartment is fantastic in everything, from location, to services, to staff! The location is excellent: right in front of the apartment there is a road with dress shops, a bar-restaurant, and a supermarket right next to (it is almost right under the apartment, but care about the prices, because they are a little short.. It is not good to buy food there, but to eat in the restaurants outside!). A shorter walk from the main road is reached immediately near a supermarket, a pharmacy and two stops for the KTEL bus: one to Heraklion, (which stops at both the airport and the center of Heraklion); and one that goes east of Crete (then Stalida, Malia, Agios Nikolaos, etc.) In 5 minutes walk you can also reach the sea-front road, and walking 2 minutes you can access directly to the beach! The room and services offered are really exceptional for the price paid! Our room was equipped with 2 comfortable and modern beds, spacious desk, a popup, a large mirror, a window door that allowed access to a large balcony with a table and 2 seats. The bathroom was equipped with a bathroom with a tent (I found the bathroom more comfortable than the douches with tent located in other facilities in Crete, because with their showers you risk flooding the floor). The staff does not put the soap at the disposal, so you need to arrange to take it. The kitchen room is large, with a single bed, a sofa, a table with 4 seats, a small refrigerator, a TV, and also here a window door opening on the balcony. There are pads, glasses, dishes, toasts, but there is a swamp and detergent for cleaning the stoves. The rooms are free of charge and I think you have to pay about €3-4 per device every night to have private wifi. Also the air conditioning is NOT free, but you have to pay a price of €7 per night. The apartment is equipped with large pool (with beds around), accessible from 9:00 to 18:00 The apartment has common rooms near the reception, on the ground floor and offers a bar-restaurant service at very good prices! In general, the stay exceeded our expectations much:) We were really very happy!
