We had two nights as a family/couples group and thoroughly enjoyed the Castle Hotel. The location is perfect and the rooms overlooking the cathedral were warm and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was an ideal start to a full sightseeing day ! The Reform Restaurant was excellent and we had a very enjoyable dinner. The car park is a bonus.

The hotel was lovely and staff were very friendly and helpful. We did park in the hotel parking but got told you could only really park there if you had booked straight through the hotels website . We were told we may have to move to one of the public car paths. Thankfully it was ok and we didn’t need to move. Car parks are dotted around though. Location was fantastic 5 mins from castle and cathedral and shops.

Friendly staff, clean room, great breakfast and five minutes walk from the cathedral. The room was on the small size but everything has been squeezed in to an old building that was originally designed for something else. Much prefer that than a square box on a motorway junction. Would happily stay again

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would visit again. It is conveniently situated in the old part of Lincoln city centre and we were able to park outside our room in a separate building to the main hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, very large, accessible bathroom, quiet at night and very good breakfast. Our only two suggestions for improvement were that a small green light in the bedroom ceiling was a bit intrusive (but might be a safety feature for an accessible room) and the kitchen fan vented onto the courtyard opposite which had a very 'chippy' smell. No deal breakers. Lincoln is beautiful and well worth a visit.

The hotel is in a breathtaking location next to the castle and the cathedral. It's actually on the site of the Roman forum and frim our window we could see the wall of the Basilica. The staff are friendly and helpful and we had a very good meal in the restaurant. We stayed in the coach house which is a self-contained flat just across the yard - it's really comfortable and well appointed and suited us because one of our party is unwell and needs a peaceful place to relax.

Stayed in hotel for two nights. Lovely room in outside courtyard with rainfall shower in bathroom. Very friendly staff all with good sense of humour. Great choice of breakfast and enjoyable evening meal on one night. Other night tried Spanish tapas restaurant 5 minutes away. Also very good. Hotel is in old part of city near to castle and cathedral. If you have energy to go down Steep Hill it’s worth it - it’s getting back up that’s the challenge. Once again thank you to all staff at hotel.

Sunday Lunch. What a joke. Precooked beef. Rock solid raw vegetables Advert stated beef served pink! May have when it was first cooked. Waitress even saw us struggle and offered us a steak knife, not oh that looks tough let us sort it. Be warned

Comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in a really nice location. Will stay again should I need to be in Lincoln.
