I took my dog to Dongzhai. The owner of the hotel, Du Ge, received us at the end of the through train at the high-speed rail station. The four-wheeled electric car walked all the way to the inn. The homestay was in the residential building next to the Rentuan Drum Tower. It was very quiet at night and slept well. It was very close to the main street. It was very convenient to eat a lot. The room with a wooden structure is very warm. There are also pet cats, eight brothers, and fish in the store. I like it too much. My friend and I stayed here for one night and, whilst overall our stay was fine, I did feel some things were lacking. The room was large, with plenty of space, but the bathroom was tiny. The windows were entirely frosted which meant there was no view of the outside, which made the room feel rather claustrophobic. But BY FAR the biggest problem for me was the air conditioning. It was on constantly, at the lowest setting, but the room never cooled down throughout our stay. It wasn’t particularly hot at the end of August but with the lack of windows that opened, and high humidity, it made the room feel very stuffy and affected my sleep. The temperature of the room is an important factor for me and I wouldn’t stay here again without knowing beforehand that the AC was working as it should.

Located inside the Zhaoxing village. Facilities are good and room was cleaned daily. The toiletries are basic and I recommend you bring your own. There were free 2 bottles of water everyday but there is also a water dispenser at the reception. The guy at the reception picked me up from the village gate so it was easy and I did not have to search for the location. He gave me an introduction to the map of the village and showed me where interesting areas are located. The hotel is a short walk to town hospital which is convenient for covid testing and also the bus stop to go to Miao village and railway station. My room has a balcony that faces the lake, very nice view. The reception guy was very helpful, answers all my questions and also helped me purchase local snacks to take back to Shanghai. Not sure if he sleeps because he was always available! Breakfast is Chinese noodles with some purple taro, mantou and egg. It's the same everyday. I had a very relaxed and comfortable stay! Highly recommended! 位于肇星村内。设施很好，每天都打扫房间。洗漱用品是基本的，我建议你自己带。每天免费提供2瓶水，但接待处还有一台饮水机。接待处的人从村门口接我，所以很容易，我不必搜索位置。他给我介绍了村子的地图，并告诉我有趣的地方在哪里。酒店距离镇医院很近，方便进行新冠肺炎检测，也是前往苗寨和火车站的公交车站。我的房间有一个面向湖面的阳台，视野很好。接待员非常乐于助人，回答了我所有的问题，还帮我买了当地的小吃带回上海。不确定他是否睡觉，因为他总是有空！早餐是中国面条，配一些紫色芋头和鸡蛋。每天都一样。我在这里过得很轻松舒适！强烈推荐！
