Stayed here for one night for a wedding. Beautiful location but hard to get to if you don’t drive (taxis available but fairly expensive). Staff were very friendly and polite. I had an issue with my room and they came straight away to take a look. I had to change rooms in the end and they were very helpful and gave me a free Prosecco for the trouble (though it was no trouble at all!). Breakfast was good and the bed was comfy. Wish I had more time to spend in the area as it was so beautiful!

Booked a spa day with afternoon team. Lovely hotel. Very small spa but nice. Paid extra for massage which was very disappointing. Have had a lot of spa days and massages and this was one of the most disappointing I have had. The afternoon tea was really delicious and staff very pleasant. Would recommend but not for a treatment

We got married at the Wild Pheasant in June 2022 and returned this week for our two year anniversary. We were welcomed at the front desk by a very friendly receptionist who was very informative and notified us that we had been given a complimentary upgrade for our anniversary which made our stay even more special! The Executive King Room was very spacious, modern and clean. There were very large wardrobes, tea & coffee facilities, a smart TV and Elemis toiletries in the room. We had dinner in the Glasshouse which was fantastic. Our waiter also offered us a free glass of fizz for our anniversary but I am pregnant so I had a soft drink instead. This again just made our stay extra special as we felt really taken care of. The service in the glasshouse was very quick and the food was delicious! We didn't use the spa facilities this time but have done in the past. Spa access is only £10.00 per hour which is very good value. Overall the hotel is modern, clean and in a beautiful scenic setting and we absolutely love visiting! Highly recommend staying here. Thank you again for a great stay!

Just visited for a drink. Hotel looks lovely on the outside but was very disappointing. The bar staff were completely unprofessional, didn’t seem to know what they were doing and giggling amongst themselves. The whole place seems poorly laid out and has no atmosphere whatsoever. Avoid.

I’ve just got back from a spa package which included afternoon tea and we also booked a massage as an extra. Firstly I want to say that this review is no reflection on the staff within the spa. The receptionist was lovely and very accommodating and the therapist was brilliant, one of the best massages that I’ve had. The spa is small but the staff make sure that it isn’t overcrowded and they manage the changeover well. However, the steam room wasn’t working properly, parts of the hydrotherapy pool were not working and the water was a few degrees colder than would have been ideal, and while I appreciate that the pool needs to be chlorinated, the chemicals were so strong they made our eyes burn. When we went through to have afternoon tea we were asked on arrival if we had any allergies, I confirmed that we hadn’t but asked if it would be possible to have one of the sandwiches made without the dressing, I was told that this is not possible and if we wanted a plain sandwich we’d have to pay £10. We only wanted 1 slice of bread and a small piece of ham! I had assumed that the sandwiches would be made fresh and that requesting to have one without any dressing would not be a huge issue, however I was wrong. Apparently I should have emailed in advance to let the kitchen know, the waiter was not interested in even attempting to accommodate our request. I did query what would have happened if myself or my sister had an allergy to mustard and was told that the situation would be the same and we would be made to pay extra. The waiter even took it upon himself to double down on this by printing out an email that had been sent through to me about allergies to prove to me that I should have emailed in advance. I’m just wondering what happened to putting the customer first? I really didn’t think that something that would have cost less than 50p to make would be such a difficult thing to do, I’d understand if we’d been asking to completely change the order but not 1 measly sandwich! The waiter then proceeded to completely ignore us, until my sister asked for a box to take the cakes home. It was clear that the sandwich’s weren’t freshly made as they were stale, however the cakes and the scone were beautiful. When we arrived my sister and I had already started to plan our next visit, I’d even messaged my husband to say that it would be an ideal place for us to visit for our upcoming anniversary, even overlooking the issues that we had with the spa. However based on the negative experience I’ve had with the waiter, and bear in mind I’m talking about 1 piece of bread and a tiny piece of ham, I doubt that we will return. I truly hope that the 50p that they saved by not remaking the sandwich was worth it!

My husband and I stayed here for the second year running for our wedding anniversary and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were helpful and friendly at check in. Our double room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The spa was £10pp for hotel residents that hadn’t booked direct but it was worth it. I also paid for a neck shoulder and back massage - would highly recommend Tracy! Dinner was in the Courtyard restaurant - we had 3 courses and a bottle of wine for under £100 and there were plenty of vegetarian options for us! The bed was comfortable and we slept for 9 hours! Check out was 11. We would have got breakfast if we hadn’t slept in! We hope to come back next year for our 3 year anniversary!

Tuesday 11th June 2024 was a cold autumn like day. No double glazing, no individual room heating, room temperature dropped to under 16C during night so felt cold. Poor and tired bathroom, difficult and cramped toilet position Walked up to the bar in the Glass House and ordered a pint. Presented with my drink was a receipt in a little folder. A service charge was added to the price of the beer. A service charge for what? Was I waited on at a table; No. That was the last drink for the rest of our stay.
