Stayed for 2 nights as we went to watch the Manics at the Eisteddfod Situated slap bang in the middle of town with plenty of parking Nice friendly staff A nice bar with a good range of drinks with a live band on Saturday night The breakfasts are very good and self service Our go to hotel in Llan. 👍

We usually stay at the Hand when we visit Llangollen for the Eisteddfod. It has a fantastic location in the centre of town, close to all amenities, and has a free car park, which is very convenient. The staff are very helpful. Our room was at the back and a bit small, it was hard to open the wardrobe as it was too close to the bed. Nevertheless, we still had a lovely time. The bar is a great place for a drink before going to bed, and we enjoyed the live music on Saturday night too. We enjoyed our stay here and will return.

We only stayed the one night and it was a very good stay,requested a river view and we got one. Breakfast was very good and really enjoyed it.

Lovely little hotel overlooking the river in the centre of Llangollen. Staff are very welcoming and the rooms are good with comfortable beds. The en-suite bathroom was quite small though and in need of updating but everywhere was clean. The only real issue was the draughty windows that didn’t close properly and the room was quite cold but an extra electric radiator was in our room and worked well at warming us up. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice of good quality food. Would definitely return.

Positives: friendly staff, good hot water, comfy bed, outside bar area was very cool Negatives: No elevator, no air conditioning , Window only opened a bit, and WiFi was unreliable If you need accessible rooms, this is not a good stay for you

Our bedroom was small and very dated. We thought it felt shoehorned in, but it was very clean. The bar area was lovely. Breakfast was excellent although the tea was cold. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We had organised the trip for a group of Walkers, knowing that The Hand was central and in walking distance of Offa's Dyke, the Llangollen Canal and Horseshoe Falls. It did not disappoint. We had evening meal twice, and went out on a couple of occasions. All were reasonably priced, with a good menu choice. Breakfasts were excellent, even gluten free bread avalable. Although our room was more expensive, it was worth it, as we had a lovely view from our bay window overlooking the garden and river. Excellent. The staff were very helpful and multi-tasked at times. We would certainly return.

only called in for a drink but i have fancied staying here for a while and i will book it in the future the outside seating area is brilliant on a sunny day but due to the weather we sat in the bar area inside and it was lovely we stayed for 2 drinks very reasonably price for a hotel we enjoyed our the music played low in the background and we had a little wonder around the hotel it would be a perfect location for a stay in Llangollen
