This was among the finest, if not the finest, hotel I've ever stayed in (and I have extensively travelled). The view of the sea from our balcony was sublime. The hotel staff was wonderful. The bed and room was so comfortable. The complimentary daily breakfast with buffet was ”to-write-home” about. The ocean-side infinity pools were magnificent. The beach was beautiful and reminded me of one we loved on St. Barts--but better. Wow. Out if the park St. Marta!!!

August 2022. In memory of Algria Santa Cristina (the full name of this hotel before the transfer of property) booked it again. So the differences: the concept changed towards youth holiday. In practical terms, it is an organization on the roof and a true floor instead of a fitness room and a sunbathing area for the bar. Accordingly, the back floor became much more noisy at evening time. The kitchen was a little simplified. There was a deposit (though, since the UnionPay card was not accepted, we did not pay it). Other advantages: location, purity, service, convenience.

My experience at the excelsior hotel was outstanding. Everybody at the hotel gave excellent service & feel I have made more new friends with all the staff. I can only say, that I am really looking forward to going back to Lloret de Mar & staying at the Excelsior hotel next year, & for many years to come. I did tell Miguel, I thought the hotel desrved 50,000 stars due to how I felt about the cleanliness & the staff as a whole. Really great value for money. I would have expected to pay much more for such fantastic service. If there was a problem, the staff were always there to sort it out. Can not praise the whol;e staff enough. I love them all.

I’m very dissatisfied with this stay. It is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but lacks! They definitely are on a budget as they treat guest like so… upon arrival (we arrived mid night as our package was love holidays) and got allocated a room on the 5th floor, the room was very tight and so warm and stuff and faced another building close. We tried to use the aircon but it blew only hot air and when we ask reception (which was a security guard only) he said come tomorrow at 8am. Are you joking? So you’re expected to wait the whole night to get an issue solved. Then we asked for a spare fan or something and they said they didn’t have any. The room had hairs on the bed when we ripped the sheets off and one of the towels too had a hair. We had a rough night. Add to this there wasn’t any water in the fridge . There wasn’t a kettle for tea or no teas or coffee or anything really in the room which for a four star you would think basic. Anyways the next day the lovely lady on reception was kind enough to upgrade us to a front facing room which was more comfortable and cooler. We were grateful. The breakfast was decent! The dinner was in another hotel down the street..also decent.. Now the part that I felt absolutely disgusted by.. On our last day there, we decided to have lunch at the restaurants in front on the street. I ordered the biriyani rice (why? I dunno as it was utter crap!) I complained and said it’s doesn’t taste right and got laughed at and he just said it’s not an Indian restaurant and walked away. Well why have it on your menu if you cook it like crap! I then complained again and the other waiter took it away.. but then they expected us to pay for it when I hadn’t even eaten it. Like two spoons and I was like nah it’s not right… I said I’m not paying for it and he went to call the manager who seemed to hide away and make him to do the dirty work.. he then came back and made me pay 10 euros from 17 euros …still a lot of money and wasted and what horrible customer service! Absolutely disgusting! I’m never going back here. Disgraceful! No good customer service..(except for the kind lady on reception … enough said..
