OYO Oban Victoria Hotel

I recently stayed at Oban Victoria Hotel (be careful, they use various names on booking websites but same address at 101 Warwick wy, Pimlico) and was really disappointed. The facility looks very old and doesn't match the images or descriptions on their website (it’s totally not as new as being opened in 2024) To make matters worse, there was no hot water in the shower, which is simply unacceptable. Also, dripping water from the ceiling, spending 2 hours for self check in as no access code was received by email. I expected basic amenities, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Upon my arrival, I saw another couple waiting for the hotel at least two hours for check in. I hope they can address these issues for future guests!

DO NOT STAY HERE. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my stay. This place is a SCAM. I requested a late check out at 12pm which was approved by the manager. When we returned to our room at 11:50am, our door was wide open and there were construction workers working in our room with a sheet covering our belongings. The construction workers were told that they were authorized to come in, WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION. Our room was on the first floor and anybody off the street could’ve gone in and stole all of her stuff. I called the manager and he stated that the check was at 10am and he did not authorize that. Previously, in the beginning of the conversation, I had him verify that he very well did give me a late check out and he agreed that he did and then took back what he said. I explained that I wanted a refund and he hung up the phone and refused to answer any of my follow up phone calls. I tried to call customer service and I cannot get through. On a side note, the hot water was broken and apparently the construction works stated it has been broken for a while. DO NOT STAY!!!

Writing on as many platforms as possible so others don’t experience this! DO NOT BOOK HERE. We are not picky about our stays but this was awful. Wrong code so we were left outside for more than a hour, dirty, no communication. We walked to another hotel instead. Received the right door code several hours later.

Absolutely the worst experience ever! Avoid at all costs! DO NOT BOOK THROUGH OYO WEBSITE! We arrived at the hotel at 7 pm on September 15, and found a pigsty. The room was dirty, the bedsheets dirty. The bed undone. There were used towels on the floor of the bedroom and the bathroom. The entire floor was dirty, and the trash can full. There is no reception and the hotel was called differently, no sign on the door. We called the OYO customer support, tried to find the manager but nobody turned up so we had to find another hotel as the room was unusable and there was nobody to assist. We have reported this to the OYO customer service, called, emailed, requested a refund but to absolutely no avail. They just say that their staff is "working on it"!. An absolute nightmare

Arrived at Hotel and couldn't get in with code given, luckily after around 15 minutes a gentleman let us into our room, well as we thought. The room hadn't been cleaned so was asked to come back in half an hr. So arrive back to hotel an hr after check in time, room had been cleaned of sorts, still lots of bits on the carpet, the rest was ok. Tea and coffee facilities in room but no spoon !!! Shower was cold no hot water, windows are not double glazed so very noisy from road and passers by. Positives comfy bed and great location.
