Mercure London Paddington Hotel Reviews

They offered to transfer us to the nearby Mercure Hyde Park which we agreed to and I highly recommend to accept such a transfer of they make the same offer to you. The Mercure Hyde Park looks newer and more modern, although the room size appears to be equally small (which is to be expected anyway). Location wise, Mercure Hyde Park is close to Paddington station, and there is a linked path with the IHG Hotel Indigo so you can use their main entrance to access Mercure Hyde Park.

Extended the check out time. Reasonable and friendly. Location is prime and room rate was good.

Great location near Paddington station, easy to access tube/express train to central London. Room is clean and with in-room complimentary drinks / snacks. However, the room is small, and bare to have space to open a 26-inch bifold luggage. Bathroom is small but acceptable.

Very convenient hotel near to Paddington Station. Hotel room is very comfortable and the views were great. Room was a little dusty, and sink was not working well. However, receptionist was very efficient and got the maintenance team to fix the issues mentioned within the day.

So small that no way you can open even your small luggage 😂

I was forgot my wallet in room when I check out , after I found out come back to hotel , the reception gives to me but inside money wasn’t there .. I really surprised It’s near £100 of foreign currency , that not much bothered me but never expected this happens will in Mercure

Location is good only if you need to take the train at Paddington station eg to Heathrow. But there’s a construction working on just right next to the hotel and the pedestrian head to the hotel was block which makes it really complicated (and noisy). I booked 2 standard double room on Trip.com. But the rooms we got are really small, it looked exactly like the small double room and one of the rooms doesn’t even have fridge and wardrobe, and the safe deposit box is placed on the floor Checked with trip.com to confirm the room type that I booked and was assigned but was told that the room I got is “double room” so they wouldn’t do anything (but there’re two type of double room - standard double and small double room), anyway standard double was what I paid for, the photo of the room and the photo from hotel website here for all of you to comment whether it’s a small double or standard double. Despite the room access cards disable for at least 5 times during my 3 days stay, the front desk staff are friendly, especially Nari, she’s a star and very helpful and nice! However I wouldn’t rate this as a 4 star hotel…

Great location if travelling to Heathrow via Paddington. The room I was given smelt and the lights didn't work. They changed my room but the second room wasn't so great and the bed sheets had stains so I had to change them myself as the house keeping wasn't available.

Perfect location. Staff are very nice and helpful. Bathroom is clean. But there are some hair founded on the bedspread……

The place stunk

Super close to paddington station and makes it easily accessible to Heathrow airport. The rooms are really tiny but doesn’t really matter since we were out most of the time

Excellent service when checking in, really efficient. We arrived early but this wasn't an issue. The room was clean and had everything we needed. If you are looking for a hotel in a quiet location this may not be for you, however the hotel provide ear plugs.
