Good location near bus/trains. Smugglers Way is quieter than you might think it would be. I asked for an accessible room and my room was on the ground floor, and it had a shower wet room. The shower was not very powerful but it was adequate. The room was clean and the air con worked well (needed in the heatwave). I would say everything was good except the price (155) and the 'free' breakfast. The breakfast was a complete free-for-all with people all over the place and no signage (would help if people queued in one direction I think). 2 of the 4 hot items were empty (no bacon or scrambled egg); we were told a 20 minute wait for more croissants, there were no pastries left and at one point they even ran out of bread. This was at 9am so not at the end of breakfast service. I wanted porridge and it wasn't clear that this was an item you had to ask for, there was no-one to ask anyway! It would have been good if a member of staff was on hand in the breakfast area to refill and advise customers. There was one member of staff trying to clear all the tables and she was being asked lots of questions and ”clear this table now” by impolite customers. You could not sit at an empty clean table because she was so overstretched. She was clearly doing her best and staying polite and helpful. As I checked out someone was ranting about the breakfast to the staff so they were also unhappy with it. It is the worst breakfast I've ever had in a hotel and I have stayed in a good number of them! I have been bitten by an insect/flea or something on my foot and I was wearing socks at all times except in the hotel room so I can only assume it was something in the room? I understand they do let pets in this hotel so I'm hoping it's not bed bugs!

The worst hotel stay I have experienced! Arrived after a hectic day at work only to be greeted by the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered. I travel and stay in London on a weekly basis and have never experienced customer service like it. Receptionist was agrresive in attitude and demanded a cash payment of £100 on entering the hotel. I explained I had paid in adance in full via booking.com with no notification at time of booking that a deposit would be required. Rudely demanded of photo ID and notified a charge of £250 would be taken for evidence of drug use. I am a professional business customer and this was so poorly judged by staff. I was told I was emailed on booking that cash deposit of £100 would be demanded on booking 2 weeks prior. Communication was provided on the day at 9.00am via booking.com email and was not seen due to being at work. Was told I should walk to a cash point in the rain with little direction as to where the nearest cash point was. It was pouring with rain, getting dark and I was a lone female customer. Receptionist replied that she was happy to cancel my booking if I preferred . The day of the queen's return to buckingham Palace with no chance of securing an alternative hotel. After returning with the cash I was given a key card with no holder with room number on. I made my way to my room after clarifying room number twice, staff area doors in corridors left open exposing dirty laundry, key card device broken off door, semen stains on wall, public hair on top of bed sheets. Mortified, so much so I didn't get under the sheets for fear of what I would find. Tried to have a wash to find the shower gel had been topped up 3 quarters with water from a previous guest. Worst stay of my life!!! Unsafe and should be closed down!!

We stayed here a few years ago and thought at the time it was 'okay'. It must've had a revamp since then because I found it had really improved. The room was laid out well to give plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. My friend took first shower and said it took a while to warm up but it was fine when I got in. Everything was spotlessly clean and we had a really good nights sleep. We arrived quite late and there was still someone on reception who checked us in quickly. It's a bit far out from the city centre but worked well for us for one night. Would stay here again!

If you're looking for a hotel to visit London, this is not the one. To give you an idea : Piccadilly Circus is about 1.5 hours to walk and about 45 minutes by taxi (expensive) and, if you're lucky, about the same by public transport (a mixture of walking, bus and tube... and a pain!) That said, if you need a hotel in this particlar area – which is actually nearer to Fulham than Sloane Square, then you could do much worse. The welcome was genuinely warm and we were made to feel appreciated. Despite checking in the previous day via the Hilton app., no room could be allocated, so we had to check in again at the front desk. The check in staff was charming and efficient and her trainee status was not evident. Our 6th floor room, well away from the renovation noise on the 1st floor felt, however, like a downgrade from the 'Queen' room we'd booked, as it had a double bed in it (150cm) – like Hampton Inns, which Hilton class as 2 categories below Doubletree. For Diamond members – who can expect room upgrades “up to a one bedroom suite” - this could be a disappointment. Queen beds are usually 160cm, doubles 150cm. If this hotel is selling doubles as queens, then I personally think this is a bit naughty of them. Also, despite the hotel stating that their 1st floor renovation work does not start before 9 a.m., they do not mention that the massive building project which half-encircles the hotel, starts well before this time and is constant throughout the day and, by the look of things, is destined to last for a long time yet. The room was clean, the bed comfortable although narrow and, apart from a few stains, the room was adequat for a one or two night stay. I wouldn't like to stay longer, as the bathroom is even smaller than a Hampton Inn – there's nowhere to put a toilet bag and nowhere to hang used towels. The shower unit is the same style as in Hamptons but much smaller than most. The toilet seat was loose and so was 'interesting' when using it, several plug sockets in the room did not work and the a/c and TV turned themseves off several times during our stay. Otherwise the room was well designed, with enough mirrors, work surface, chair, safe etc. and fridge that gets things cold enough – if you are willing to wait about 18 hours, that is! Don't expect a good sleep – the doors are not sound-proofed and are paper-thin. Room doors are also constantly 'banging' shut due to the spring mechanism. The lobby bar is well stocked but has slighly frightening prices. We didn't try the restaurant – choosing a Middle-Eastern restaurant 5 minutes' walk away – but the food we saw looked to be well-presented and seemed to be of the fast food type. The breakfast was, to be totally frank, extremely disappointing. The quality was good but the choice was extremely poor for a Doubletree and, in comparison to the maybe 30 or 40 Doubletrees I've stayed in, is by far the worst breakfast 'spread' I've seen to date. No ham, no smoked salmon, not even any utensils for the

My partner and I recently stayed here as it was close to the theatre. We had other options of the Premier Inn nearer to the venue, but chanced the Antoinette as parking was available. So glad we took the chance. On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming and even upgraded our room to an executive room. The room itself was very clean and comfortable with the facilities in the room more than you'd expect from the cost of the room. With only a 6 minute walk to the theatre we used this to our advantage by coming and going to the local restaurants. The only lwt down was there was not a restaurant within the hotel as we'd have loved to experience and evening meal there too, but the local Persian restaurant was a first with lovely food. We will definitely stay here again and again as we have looked at more shows to see at the New Wimbledon Theatre.

The morning after our first night my friend and I noticed a bug crawling on one of the beds, we continued our investigation and noticed DOZENS of those crawling all over the twin beds we just spent the night in. We were exhausted the night before after coming back to hotel late and after having shower just jumped straight into beds - who would have thought we weren’t they only ones spending night in those beds! Quick research after our findings and we realised that those were BEDBUGS! Never in my life had I come across anything like this before, not even after being a student and staying at questionable hostels! We reported this to the reception and were offered another room. We didn’t move immediately in the morning and made an agreement that we would move in the evening when we would be back to the hotel. Coming back in the evening and reporting to the reception for a new room, we found one of the evening staff being rude to us and questioning if the bedbugs were from their hotel (like what?!?!?!?). Simple, we said, because we had photo and video evidence of bedbugs crawling all over the beds, we said! This quickly ended her argument with us. We then moved to our new room, where there was no obvious evidence of bedbug infestation, however being a reportedly new room, we found hair all over the floor in the bathroom of that allegedly “cleaned” new room. Unfortunately, being an extremely sensitive to cleanness person and following the events of the previous night, I decided to leave early and not spent another night in this disgusting hotel. My friend, who had a flight early next morning however had no chance and spend a little longer and left at 04am. The evening I decided to leave I started coming out in rash, which had only been getting worse ever since. The intensity of the itch is like nothing I’d ever experienced before - it stops me from sleeping, it drives me absolutely mad, no matter how much I try, one can’t look professional when they have bite marks all over their body, including the face, ears, neck, fingers, hands, forearms - ie areas one can’t cover up - and needing to constantly scratch herself! This obviously has affected my work! And the itch is no better even 6 days later!! In fact, the bite marks are now swollen, causing swelling of my fingers, the scratch marks are now bleeding and I am the most irritated I’ve ever been! Let me emphasise, this is six days later and I genuinely don’t know how much longer I’m yet to suffer! I have obviously filed a complaint and have been contacted by the hotel - they are “kindly” offering to compensate the cost of my medication (as I am now on antihistamines - which don’t work really, as I can’t take the stronger type due to its sedating effect, as I have to continue working and driving; as well as steroid cream) and the cost of my dry cleaning. HOWEVER, despite multiple email exchanges and telephone consultations, they are not planning to refund a 100% of our payment, the argument being

I stated this hotel over 20 years ago and so I can see the difference now and hope was then and it's so much better and the room was was lovely and it had all the things that needed in it and the many offers of different types of restaurants and also the discount card making excellent and it's so central because it's white next to Tottenham court road so it's near Leicester Square and it is a great location. GGuest UserJust leaving Holiday Inn Sutton and have had a truly wonderful stay. This hotel was used as a base for exploring London and surrounding areas and can't recommend highly enough. Ok we're not talking 5 star luxury, but if you're looking for that common sense should tell you to book elsewhere. However if you're looking for CLEAN (so important) and comfort with EXCELLENT staff then this will be for you! Staff are honestly some of the best I've encountered (even in 5 star hotels) and I don't say that lightly. Restaurant, front desk, housekeeping, health club all an absolute credit to the hotel and brand. Thank you. Nothing was to much trouble and you made our stay really great. It's the morning and evening acknowledements and friendly vibe and all the little touches that really do go a long way. We'll be back and would highly recommend this hotel and if there's a way to reward staff on duty 27th-29th August 2022 please do :)

GGuest UserOur experience at this hotel was just phenomenal! Tarek at the front desk deserves a raise! I communicated with him through the phone as we were arriving super early and his honesty of possibly having a room ready helped us Taylor the beginning of our trip. We were able to check in early with him and we received a following up call from Tarek 5mn after entering the room, as he wanted to make sure we were happy with our room and that he was there if we needed him. Even during a very busy period he made the time to sort through all our requests. Such service makes the difference and that convinced us to come back in the future. The views from the higher floors are amazing. The room was clean and the perfect size for our 5 night stay. The bar/restaurant always had a great vibe both a breakfast and dinner; the serving sizes were large and we were very pleased. The lobby area is very well done and smells really nice! Only little downside was there was no business center and we needed to print some stuff . However, Tarek offered immediately to print our documents. We had such a fantastic stay and felt being taken care of throughout the whole stay, will surely be returning!

GGuest UserThis hotel is a clean modern hotel which is well maintained. My wife and I stayed here twice, for 3 and 4 days respectively while touring the UK. The rooms were comfortable for sleeping, quiet and the air-conditioning worked well. The bathrooms were well designed and very clean. Housekeeping was fine. The major problem was that both of our rooms were very small and they had virtually no space for clothing. There was no usable drawer space and closets were tiny and had an inadequate number of hangers as well. If you are traveling for other than 1-2 days, there is no place to put anything. Living out of suitcases for 4 days or more does not add to the enjoyment of one's trip. The Breakfast is at best, just OK. There is a minimal amount of fresh fruit and while you can order off a hot breakfast menu, most things we ordered were not very good, so we stopped doing that. The Reception staff was marginally helpful. No one came to help us with our luggage. If you need a taxi or limo to take you to the airport, you are on your own. In addition, the front of the hotel is covered by bus stops so the taxi or limo has to try to find a place to pull us to load or unload. There are just a lot of annoying things about this hotel, some could be remedied, others probably not. For my next visit to London, I will not be staying here.

GGuest UserThis is a beautiful old building that has been made a boutique hotel. We started in a ground floor room then we’re upgraded, at management’s initiative, to a third floor suite. Both rooms were wonderful. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast very nice. They have spa services, but we didn’t use it. The location is a quiet area and can be a bit confusing to find from Canary Wharf, but is not touristy at all. Overall a great place to stay.

GGuest UserI stayed this time before my flight from Heathrow T5. I have fallen in love with the character of this hotel as it really is a very good value. A little dated but I love that about it and it's positioning is amazing for plane spotters. You have everything you need and this time a couple of shortbread biscuits in the room with the tea/coffee selection. Thank you Thistle especially Parik and Mechell and the lovely cleaner who is always outside brushing up the fallen leaves when I see her! I will be back.

IIsabelle RabeyrinFirst booking via trip.com . Very straightforward. The hotel was only a few minutes away from Euston. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Beds are very comfy and the room was spacious enough for the 3 of us. Late check out was a bonus and we could even leave our luggage at reception which was very handy. Would recommend and will definitely go back. This is a very big hotel and I was worried about noise level but we had a peaceful time.

Pros: - Polite and happy to help staff - Right in the middle of Hammersmith, 5 minute walk from the station or the high street with shopping malls and a variety of shops - Nice, gated rock table garden with ashtrays out the front - Executive studio had a nice large modern room, bathroom, kitchen with flat screen and private veranda with table and ashtray - Left to your own devices to self cater which I enjoyed, housekeeping still asked to clean the room during my stay which is nice - Cooker/microwave, separate microwave, kettle, hidden mid sized fridge, fan, good heating, nice artwork, - Very comfy pillows and duvet, plenty of clean towels - Great mattresses for a perfect sleep - Large mirror and full sized desk in the room - Nice lighting and very atmospheric - Separate entrance to main hotel - Pots, frying pan, cutlery, wine glasses and mug was provided which was convenient - Managed to cook multiple elements of a dish with no smoke alarm triggers or problems - French doors onto the private dug out veranda was a very nice feature - It's only £10 per hour to extend check-out which I added an extra hour on so I have more time to leave with no complaints from the manager - Cost was very reasonable for the holiday season, made a great short 3 day stay very easy to book short notice Cons: - Not much to the hotel, 5 metre wide reception area by front door which is awkward - My suite was located downstairs, where there were also other guest rooms however the hallway looked like the cleaners storeroom and unkept. - Noise from hallway, slamming doors by other guests or housekeepers can be heard which would shake the TV - 5hr wait for a remote control for the TV - No toilet roll - Advertised a king sized bed, but it was two singles locked together - Other guests window located on large veranda, which didn't have cover from the rain. If the guests next door open the curtains you see the entire room vice versa which was the case - TV is on the wall with a extendable clamp, but it was unsturdy and unlevel. If you tried to balance it screws fell out of the clamp with plaster dust which I had to screw back in after trying to turn the screen on. I really enjoyed my stay with the hotel; which turned out to be more of a self catering, collection of mini apartments which suited me well. It was lovely to not have to leave the hotel for fresh air and to have to private outside area to the suite was a great touch for central London. Odd bits and bobs that could be fixed or more well presented, but that didn't bother my stay. I would 100% recommended the hotel and would stay again. Just be aware of the noise from the hallways entering the room, it's wasn't excessive but definitely noticeable.

GGuest UserI actually really liked the stay here. Simple, classy, hub hotel room. Amazing central London location. Steps away from tube station, we visited tourist sites in the area. Great for our city weekend break. The beds are superbly comfortable. I travelled solo ALOT for work, so I know what I like or not about hotel rooms. On this occasion I was traveling with my 3 kids, and the absence of TV meant they slept undistracted. The absence of carpeted floors, decorative pillows and bed runners, (that I suspect are rarely washed in other hotels) was perfect, as it means I didn't have to make sure my kids weren't touching any unclean fabric items. We were out for majority of our stay. So the lack of view/windows, wasn't any concern. No breakfast option, but we grabbed fruit for breakfast from Tesco express nearby. There is a 24hour cafe & bar next door, that is good option too. If you know what you're booking and what to expect, you won't be claustrophobic, instead you'll be pleasantly surprised. Reception team member is my reason for leaving a review though - he comp'd our left luggage :) I hope if Zedwell family see this they compliment his action, because he's gained you return custom and extra revenue, as I'll now book again due to how thoughtful and personable his service was towards my family, thank you. I've misplaced where I noted his name, Sherif(?) [Tall, young, South Asian origin]. Looking forward to our next stay at Zedwell
