Hotels near Camping de la Forêt - Lourdes, Lourdes

Centrally located less than a kilometer from the Sanctuary/Grotto. A lift is just around the corner from the hotel which will bring straight down to the main street. There were four of us and we had two rooms -- a family room with four beds and a single room with one double bed. My granddaughter was not feeling well the next day and since our train back to Paris did not leave until late in the afternoon, we asked to extend one of the rooms and paid for the additional time. The request was received well and handled very efficiently by the people at the front desk -- I think it is the owner and her son. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were also very spotless with good strong hot water. They served a filling and tasty buffet breakfast -- cereals, fruits, bread, cold cuts and eggs plus coffee and juices. Very good value for money. The sanctuary/grotto is a ten minute walk away. If you're attending the evening procession, the lift closes at 11:30 so try to catch to save an uphill walk to the hotel.

The hotel is small but in a good location to visit grotto area. We had a good size comfortable room which was very quiet even though facing onto the road and the river. The room has a shower, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river. There was a shaded patio on our floor for use by residents. The hotel serves an excellent buffet breakfast which is regularly replenished and there is plenty of room in the dining room. The staff are all young and enthusiastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. Wifi is good and we had no difficulty in connecting. A very good stay and we will be returning on our next visit. The Hotel only serves breakfast but there is plenty of choice for other meals locally. Made in Italy serves very good Pizzas and is always very busy. The town was busy with pilgrimages even though it was October but it is still kept clean. The streets are narrow so you need to be aware of the traffic especially the large tour buses. There are local buses and a petit train which run around the town.

We travelled to Lourdes on pilgrimage with HCPT (Hosanna House and Children’s Pilgrimage Trust). Hotel Croix des Bretons was our “home” for the week. We spent 7 nights here over the Easter weekend - the 1st week of the season, and the staff could not have been more prepared. From the warm & friendly welcome, accommodating all of our unusual requests like they were absolutely run of the mill, to the buffet style food which was refreshing and good. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere that Francois, Sabine & the team don’t manage. The hotel itself is really clean, the rooms are comfortable, especially the beds, with extra blankets in the wardrobes if needed. The bathroom was spacious and super clean, ours had a bath with a wall shower. The staff in the restaurant were kind, caring and diligent. I know that if I were to come to Lourdes, by myself outside of the organised pilgrimage, Hotel Croix des Bretons would be the first place I would look to book. Grazie Francois! The hotel reception staff were very welcoming and also multilingual. The rooms were lovely, spacious, modern, clean and we particularly enjoyed the mountain view from the room window. However, the TV was a little small and there was no complementary tea and coffee sachets provided. There is a continental style breakfast offered, but it was slightly disappointing with not much selection and fresh fruit. The location is good and fairly near to the main sanctuary and grotto although there is reasonable distance to town centre, so be prepared to walk a bit and bring sensible footwear. There is also an airport shuttle bus near the hotel at the Paradis bus stop which drops you straight to the airport. We had a good experience on this occasion and will definitely recommend staying especially if you're looking for self-catering residence type accommodation. Thank you Zenitude

This is an ideal stay for room only accommodation. The air conditioning on the 3 rd was definitely a good choice and very good. The hotel also provided a Kettle and big fan which were very well appreciated. We brought our own tea coffee etc and cups. The shower over the bath was good and had a good hand rail. Beds ok extra pillows provided. The staff were wonderful and extremely accommodating for little requests and the hotel had 24 hour access which was ideal. Breakfast limited but plenty of cafes. Lunch and dinner tickets can be purchased to use at the solitude hotel Buffett . Next door Good lift. Easy access. Definitely stay again

The hotel is very comfortable and clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nickel. Sorry that all this was disturbed by the ”bordel” caused by Spanish-language children who played in the corridors until midnight by laying the doors with grooms and who left the hotel the next day at 5 p.m. without doing any work Also attention to noise. So what to sleep well without being able to do it .....

Quite difficult to find when arriving in a car, especially disabled. We did find a disabled place right at the top of the street, but it is very hilly. You can reserve a parking space at the hotel for a charge. When walking down the street to the hotel, do not take the first entrance into the little court yard, but the second into the reception area. Here we were greeted very warmly and the location of the hotel is excellent, near to the grotto, centre and shops. We decided to eat in the hotel the first evening and the food was very good and reasonable. The second evening to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary from advice we are at the restaurant Alexandria, at the top of the street. Quite expensive, but the food was amazing. Breakfast the usual continental affair, though a lack of fresh fruit and a little mundane. It is also well worth taking the little white tourist train, which you board down in the centre, but also stops right outside the hotel and stops at various places including the candle factory. Our accessible room although with a hugh wet room, was really quite bleak with no view or adequate shelving in the bathroom. The bed was comfy, but far too low and following a recent knee operation, was a nightmare to arise from and although on the whole we enjoyed our stay, I was definitely glad to leave it after three nights.

Stayed here in july .. brilliant place to stay ..visited lourdes grotto & basillicas , this town never fails to amaze me .. so beautiful ..going again next year . First visited lourdes in 1976 helping the sick , fell in love with the place ... the grotto is amazing & the basillicas so beautiful , the torch light procession is amazing ... lourdes is a friendly town ...beautiful places to visit, food outstanding .cant wait to go back

The hotel airport is very close, the room is very clean, the male receptionist at the front desk is very patient and enthusiastic. I specially arrived at the store in advance to receive us, and helped us mention the room with the suitcase, and called us to drop off at 5 o'clock in the morning. The driver also came in advance.
