Hotels near Le Petit Lourdes, Lourdes

Just returned from 3 nights and 4 days staying at the Alba. It wasnt our first time visiting Lourdes but it was our first time staying at this hotel. This will absolutely be the only place we stay from here on whenever we come back to Lourdes. The toilet and shower room are spotless and cleaned daily (unless you put the do not disturb sign on if you didnt want it cleaned everyday). The towels were crisp, white and clean and looked brand new .... plenty of towels provided and toiletries provided too. Lovely added touches! The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern and well looked after and maintained. Good air conditioning in the rooms. Only thing missing was a little fridge and maybe tea/coffee facilities but we managed without and had to just drink wine instead (🤭) The bed was so comfortable and we had such a good sleep each and everynight! Crisp white and clean bedding which shows how spotless everything was. The staff were always cheerful and helpful with anything we needed and the hotel was in a prime postion, on the banks of the river Gave, and within walking distance to the Grotto/Domain! We had a wonderful few days away in Lourdes, it is such a special and Holy place .... and staying at this hotel really helped to make it extra special ! See you next year please God. Smooth check in and good room on 6th floor. Very comfy bed - not always a given in Lourdes so thank you! (I’ve stayed in many hotels in Lourdes over the years !) Good bathroom and toilet facilities with toiletries available. Breakfast was pleasant as well. However there are new AC rules in France and you would need to contact reception to organise. It was late when we realised we couldn’t get AC on and should have contacted reception. I brought the AC issue up at checkout and this was explained very well by the receptionist. I should have contacted reception. I will know for the next time. Many thanks to all the staff of the hotel! A bientôt!

We travelled to Lourdes on pilgrimage with HCPT (Hosanna House and Children’s Pilgrimage Trust). Hotel Croix des Bretons was our “home” for the week. We spent 7 nights here over the Easter weekend - the 1st week of the season, and the staff could not have been more prepared. From the warm & friendly welcome, accommodating all of our unusual requests like they were absolutely run of the mill, to the buffet style food which was refreshing and good. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere that Francois, Sabine & the team don’t manage. The hotel itself is really clean, the rooms are comfortable, especially the beds, with extra blankets in the wardrobes if needed. The bathroom was spacious and super clean, ours had a bath with a wall shower. The staff in the restaurant were kind, caring and diligent. I know that if I were to come to Lourdes, by myself outside of the organised pilgrimage, Hotel Croix des Bretons would be the first place I would look to book. Grazie Francois! This is an ideal stay for room only accommodation. The air conditioning on the 3 rd was definitely a good choice and very good. The hotel also provided a Kettle and big fan which were very well appreciated. We brought our own tea coffee etc and cups. The shower over the bath was good and had a good hand rail. Beds ok extra pillows provided. The staff were wonderful and extremely accommodating for little requests and the hotel had 24 hour access which was ideal. Breakfast limited but plenty of cafes. Lunch and dinner tickets can be purchased to use at the solitude hotel Buffett . Next door Good lift. Easy access. Definitely stay again

Quite difficult to find when arriving in a car, especially disabled. We did find a disabled place right at the top of the street, but it is very hilly. You can reserve a parking space at the hotel for a charge. When walking down the street to the hotel, do not take the first entrance into the little court yard, but the second into the reception area. Here we were greeted very warmly and the location of the hotel is excellent, near to the grotto, centre and shops. We decided to eat in the hotel the first evening and the food was very good and reasonable. The second evening to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary from advice we are at the restaurant Alexandria, at the top of the street. Quite expensive, but the food was amazing. Breakfast the usual continental affair, though a lack of fresh fruit and a little mundane. It is also well worth taking the little white tourist train, which you board down in the centre, but also stops right outside the hotel and stops at various places including the candle factory. Our accessible room although with a hugh wet room, was really quite bleak with no view or adequate shelving in the bathroom. The bed was comfy, but far too low and following a recent knee operation, was a nightmare to arise from and although on the whole we enjoyed our stay, I was definitely glad to leave it after three nights.

This trip was just me and my Husband this time for our 40th Wedding Anniversary and we always wanted to stay at this Hotel as we have been in many times before to have a drink in the bar. As it was just the two of us we had our own choice of hotel so you can imagine we were excited to book and stay there. We booked a deluxe room overlooking the garden. The room was not deluxe it was not what we expected even down to no bed side tables or any drawers in the room the wardrobe rail was very short hence creasing our clothes, for this reasion, I asked to borrow an iron for 5 minutes but got told by the receptionist to wait in reception till someone came to show me to the pressing room in another building. I waited 20 minutes no one came so I gave up and never asked again. The first morning there was no hot water so cold showers. I heard the receptionist saying to another guest who was complaining about the same issue that it would be fixed later that day. Which it was. The tea tray was very sparce one breakfast tea bag each and one sugar each with a very small pod of milk not enough for a decent cup of tea. To add the biggest insult there was two wooden sticks to stir the tea not even a proper spoon in a deluxe room? We took the small stool out of the shower to put our tea on whilst we sat on the 2 dirty chairs on the balcony. We have had far better variety of breakfast from every other hotels we have stayed in lourdes. When we arrived we was told we did not have to book evening dinner in the restaurant so on the actually day of our 40th Anniversary we went down to the restaurant but was told no room even though the restaurant at the time was half empty. We had a lovely meal in another Hotel. To top it all when we got home our Children told us that they contacted the hotel reception to ask could they order a surprise bottle of champagen on the day to be sent to our room they was on the telphone to them for an hour but hit a brick wall as they would not take payment from them. I do not normally write reviews but after receiving a welcome written note from the Staff when we entered the room saying Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary we hope you enjoy your stay and if there is anything you need our staff is to hand. this letter was accompanied by 6 macaroons on a plate. Hotel has not even answered reviews on there website shows they do not care and its not a cheap hotel.

The lady at the reception was absolutely fantastic. She was extremely helpful polite and very accommodating. 10/10. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. But she was just great!!! The rooms are more basic than you could imagine. Bedding was well made and clean. Hygiene was not great elsewhere. Lack of toilet paper etc was not a great start but not a complaint. There was a ”stink” in the bathroom, I discovered it was toilet brush . The pool area was acceptable. The breakfast for €12 was ok, not fantastic. The location was a bit far from the Grotto. We had to get a taxi each night as after a day of walking in the town centre the walk uphill was too much for any if us. The overall facilities are in need of repairs and an option to purchase a box of basic items would have been good, such as coffee butter milk etc.

The hotel airport is very close, the room is very clean, the male receptionist at the front desk is very patient and enthusiastic. I specially arrived at the store in advance to receive us, and helped us mention the room with the suitcase, and called us to drop off at 5 o'clock in the morning. The driver also came in advance.
