Hotels near Atelier Viandanti, Lugano

The hotel is very good. The room is quite large, suitable for family travel, there are not many varieties of breakfast, but the taste is not bad. The hotel's swimming pool is quite suitable for children. The lake at the entrance of the hotel is beautiful, the scenery is very good, and it is very comfortable to go out for a walk. The only downside is that it is far from the famous attractions in Switzerland, and Grindwa and Interlaken are still much more beautiful.

The accommodation is top in all areas. The only thing that has irritated us a little at the beginning is the unused reception. Check in online, but it has super hit. We could get into the room at 1400 instead of 1500. Because we wanted separate beds, and these were only in the higher category, we were simply ”upgraded”, just top. Also the extra bed for our 5-year-old daughter was mega comfortable. It was all very clean and the daily cleaning was Super. We are and were just excited. We will certainly come back. We stayed here for 1 night whilst travelling from the UK to Italy. Our stay did not start well unfortunately. We arrived in the middle of some roadworks outside the hotel and in the surrounding area. Coupled with the fact that we had a roofbox on our car, reception suggested that we entered the hotel car park via a different entrance rather than the one a short distance from reception on the hotel grounds. The receptionist wasn't very aware of the roadworks and proceeded to vaguely show me on the map how to get to the other car park entrance. It was clear she did not know and actually told me the wrong way! It took me 25 mins to find the correct route to the car park entrance due to the deviations, roadworks and traffic! Not a great start. Next, I arrived at the room that we had been allocated - I had booked a deluxe room (for 3 people through hotels.com) - this was not a deluxe room, although much bigger it was a ground floor apartment with 2 separate bedrooms with no air conditioning and a lounge a couple of short corridors away from the bedrooms which did have air conditioning! Bearing in mind the daytime temperatures at the time were 33-34 degrees, we were not going to have a good night sleep! Back to reception to complain, initially saying that they did not have any other rooms left however they did eventually offer us a deluxe room with air conditioning that fed nicely into the main bedroom - that is all we wanted and what I had actually booked! They set up a third bed in the room for my daughter, problem solved! Location was very good with excellent views of the lake, a 10-15 mins walk into the centre which was fine for us. Buffet breakfast was excellent, we chose to sit outside on a lovely terrace with lake views. Service was very good. We then used the outside pool facilities and loungers until mid afternoon - again all excellent, clean, lovely pool, and when we left, we were sad that we could only stay for 1 night! In the end the room problems were resolved, the morning receptionists providing us with a free drink in the bar for the inconveniences caused however it could have been avoided if I had been given the room that I had booked from the start and better training should be given to the receptionists so that they know exactly what instructions to give to clients on how to reach the hotel car park. Would I stay here again? Yes, I would.

I stayed only one night as my preferred hotel was fully booked and I was forced into hotel city lugano. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was the kindest I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. Sure the decor isnt anything to praise and they dont have room service or other basics but it is clean and efficient. I have to say one more time that the staff here is just amazing, every single one of them. I would recommend this hotel.

If you are booking a luxury hotel in Lugano, there is no other option for me. While it’s not right in the middle of the City, it’s in a nice and quiet area and the 10-15 minute walk to the city is great for settling the stomach after eating to much pizza. The grounds are simply stunning, the views are amazing, the breakfast buffet is not amazing but very good (Although the woman who seat you could smile a bit more, all the other staff at breakfast are great). The private Lido is awesome. I will never stay at another hotel in Lugano for our annual summer trip, it has won my loyalty for life.

Well..... where do I start, this is one of the most breath taking places I have ever visited in the world. I booked this for my daughters 30th birthday it was her choice to go to Switzerland, neither of us had visited this part of the world before and it far exceeded our expectations. It took a plane, train and a taxi to get us to the hotel so a bit of a journey but sooooooo worth it. We flew to Milan, took a train to Lugano and got a cab up to the hotel. Tip catch the 444 bus from the train station, it so much cheaper than a cab and the bus drops you right outside the hotel, we used the bus every time after that to go down to the town. The hotel itself is stunning, the views are amazing, you have to see them to believe the photos do not capture the utter beauty of this place. You will also notice the peace, all you can hear is birdsong, it is absolute heaven. The hotel staff are amazing, they could not be more helpful. We has lots of questions and time and again they helped even printing bus time tables and giving us maps and tips. We had a welcome prosecco on arrival and then went to find our room. WOW! and what a room We had been upgraded from a garden room to a room with a view of the lake and a wrap around balcony. My daughter opened the balcony door and almost burst with excitement, it was amazing. We had a twin room which was large and super bathroom and even the view from the loo. The room was clean and comfortable, there is a safe, fridge and kettle. You are provided with robes, slippers and even a bag to pop your bits in when using the spa. This hotel has thought of everything. I could write a 10,000 word review on this hotel there is so much to say. The infinity pool is warm and you lean your elbows up on the side and just stare at that view. There is an amazing indoor pool which you can swim into from the outside pool through automatic doors. Tip give the sensors a little wave and the doors open quicker. We had two treatments in the Dot spa a massage on one day and a facial on the other, both fabulous and the staff in the spa are great. Breakfast was included in our room rate and had so much choice. We eat in the restaurant for lunch a dinner but also had room service and dinner on our balcony which was lovely and a little bit cheaper to. The view every where are fantastic, it takes 30 minute to get up the mountain so you are very high. There is a little airport way below and we loved watching the planes take off over the lake and we were still way above them. We took a walk through the Algra mountain one morning and whilst it is challenging (its very steep) it is so beautiful and worth the climb. I could say so much more but I think you should just go and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed you will come away feeling on top of the world. My daughter loved it so much she is going to return with her husband for their 10th wedding anniversary. Thank you so much Kurhaus we had the best time.

The room is very good, the room is facing the lake, the scenery is very good, but unfortunately there is no time. The most dissatisfied is the front desk clerk. I feel unfriendly to the Chinese and the tone is really hard. Is this a five-star waiter? ?

Hôtel charmant dans un cadre ravissant. Personnel souriant et attentionné. Chambre équipée de tout le confort nécessaire, avec de surcroît un joli balcon. Très bon buffet petit-déjeuner. Une petite mésaventure m’est arrivée dans cet hôtel : j’ai malencontreusement oublié dans ma chambre une pochette contenant mes foulards favoris. Lorsque je m’en suis aperçue, j’ai pris contact avec la réception, et mes précieux foulards m’ont été promptement renvoyés. Je remercie tous les membres de l’équipe pour leur gentillesse et leur professionnalisme !

I first wrote a review on this lovely little hotel in autumn 2021 and remarked that we would return to the hotel if ever in the region again. Fate has it that we have been back to and through the Ticino region of Switzerland again every year since and have returned to the Hotel La Tureta a further five times. This speaks for itself, I believe. La Tureta obviously suits us very well, the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the hotel, comfort of the beds and good food at their restaurant. No frills, but very appealing. We have made a point of planning our route to be able to stay at La Tureta, the only drawback being that we have never had the opportunity to stay longer than one day/night, much to our regret. But we will continue to return and recommend this delightful hotel to anyone in the Bellinzona region.
