The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy, with disposable slippers. Breakfast is OK. Very close to the train station. Can park. Going to the old town is not far away. It was a downhill road and it was quite tired. The hotel also offers a free Lugano bus card, which can be used free of charge by bus and 2/3 bus.

Convenient transportation. The train station is directly accessible by ferris wheel, breakfast is good, the lake is convenient, cost-effective, the square is just outside, and the market is also convenient for shopping. The goods here are cheaper than other cities.

Lugano's affordable hotel is very close to the center, the breakfast environment is good, there is a parking lot, and there are discounts at the restaurants next door.

Not a bad stay at this hotel. Close to all that Lagano has to offer. Lots of shopping and restaurants right behind the hotel and a very nice lake walk to the front of the hotel.The lake is Beautiful anytime but after dark all the houses around the lake light up which is nice. Room 354 offers great views of the lake and has a large bath and separate shower which is great. Breakfast is good and has a selection of meat’s eggs cheeses and pastries along with the usual fair for a buffet breakfast. Parking is a pain although they validate your parking which is good. There is a small area out front of the hotel to unload your bags which makes things easier. Not a bad stay but my only complaint was the beds! boy are they low and uncomfortable.

Great attention to detail by its proprietor Learco Bernasconi and wife along with desk administrator Leila who all keep it spotlessly clean and are always only too glad to please and recommend things without being overly fussy. Hotel offers free local transport voucher which also includes a number of discountable Lugano attractions. Attached bistro restaurant/pizzeria offers a menu which is frequently changed during the week to keep it fresh and interesting. Well and moderately price rooms which include breakfast offering a continental style spread. Overall- literally little if anything to complain of. Very much in the Swiss tradition of hotel management. For people looking for a well run 3-3.5 star accommodation.

Our stay at Hotel International au Lac exceeded our expectations. As hesitant travelers due to selectiveness of accommodations, we wish we could experience the service and cleanliness of Hotel International au Lac everywhere! The staff were professional & helpful, and the location couldn’t be better for enjoying the Via Nassa and lake. The hotel common areas, amenities, and room were impeccable. The Hotel International au Lac embodies old world charm but meets modern accommodations. We would gladly stay again and it should be your first choice of stay when traveling Lugano!

The rooms are very nice and the environment is beautiful. Sitting on the balcony of the room, listening to birds, drinking a little wine, and admiring the lights of Lugano Lake and the mountain homes on the opposite side, it is really a treat. The room is equipped with an electric kettle, shampoo, and shower gel. You need to bring your own dental appliances and slippers.

Disadvantages: Hotel facilities are old, rooms are very small, air conditioning is still bad! Hygienic did not look clean. After going out at 11 o'clock in the evening, I locked the door at the hotel door. I waited for more than 10 minutes by the doorbell. No one came! I was pleased to spend three wonderful days at the Hotel Firenze in Lugano and I couldn't be more enthusiastic than my experience. This charming hotel has really made my stay unforgettable in all respects. Since I reached the threshold, I was welcomed with a warm smile from the professional and courteous staff. Their attention to details and dedication to make sure that all my needs were met made my stay very pleasant from the beginning. The hotel restaurant is a real treasure for the kitchen lovers. Each meal I enjoyed was a unique culinary experience. The dishes were prepared with fresh and quality ingredients, and the staff were careful to my food preferences. Candlelight dinners in the inner courtyard added (on request) a touch of romanticism to my evenings. The location of the Hotel Firenze is simply invidiable. The walks along the lake and visits to local boutiques have been a key part of my experience. But what really made my stay at the Hotel Firenze so special was the sincere and careful attention of the staff. In addition to providing good services, they have made every interaction a pleasant and familiar moment, as if I was home away from home. In the end, my three-day stay at the Hotel Firenze in Lugano was simply perfect. I was not only able to enjoy a accommodation in one of Switzerland's most attractive cities, but also found a shelter where comfort, hospitality and elegance are combined with a unique experience.
