Hotels near Museo in Erba, Lugano

I stayed only one night as my preferred hotel was fully booked and I was forced into hotel city lugano. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was the kindest I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. Sure the decor isnt anything to praise and they dont have room service or other basics but it is clean and efficient. I have to say one more time that the staff here is just amazing, every single one of them. I would recommend this hotel.

Súper decent hotel outstanding staff my stay here with my family was wonderful and comfortable. The best thing about a vacation is to rest well and have a delicious breakfast and this hotel has it all, a first class service, with high quality care, I have to mention what caught my attention the most was the hygiene at breakfast time is very Important for me. I don't have many photos but I do have videos that I can't upload here from the hotel but I have it on my Instagram karol__0729….Very satisfied with our stay, just need to implement the parking

The accommodation is top in all areas. The only thing that has irritated us a little at the beginning is the unused reception. Check in online, but it has super hit. We could get into the room at 1400 instead of 1500. Because we wanted separate beds, and these were only in the higher category, we were simply ”upgraded”, just top. Also the extra bed for our 5-year-old daughter was mega comfortable. It was all very clean and the daily cleaning was Super. We are and were just excited. We will certainly come back. My husband and I are visiting Lugano at the end of our trip across northern Italy and Switzerland. What was supposed to be a nice nostalgic trip as my husband lived and went to university here many years ago ended up starting off not so great due to our experience at the Novotel Pardiso. We are avid travelers and never have I experienced such disrespect and disappointment in what claims to be a 4 star hotel. We arrived yesterday with no issues only being told we had to prebook a breakfast time due to the hotel managing large groups. This is ok not a problem. We decided to have breakfast to our room and went to make coffee using their in room Nespresso machine to find that two pods were stuck in the machine. We then removed the tray to see if it was full and the coffee from the pods was clearly pushed through. We called the front desk for assistance and someone came to the room then accused us of breaking the machine and we would be charged 350euro. Our main issue here is no one really looked at or tried to fix the machine , their response was to accuse us and look for payment for a new machine. There was a full tray of pods in the room proving we had not been the ones to cause this issue as we had just arrived one night and the room had not been serviced yet. We were told to speak with the manager as the hotel were claiming apparently that the previous guests had not caused this problem therefore it was our fault. All of this treatment even though we were the guests whom raised the issue , there were two pods stuck in the machine and we had a full tray of unused pods in our room. The issue is not so much the coffee machine itself or even the money , it was the hotels immediate response of accusation , unwillingness to resolve and the managers response when we tried to discuss with her. We expressed our disappointment on how the situation was handled and the accusations expressing our intent to leave earlier as a result to be told “ it is too late to check out now “. We had already paid for our room for 3 nights and at this stage it was clear that the client is not important to this hotel. We left and do not even care for the money back on our stay as that was not worth the effort given the managers response to us leaving as “ good” We travel regularly in many 4 and 5 star hotels and this is the first time I’ve experienced such disregard from management and also such accusations and demand for money instead of resolving and discussing to resolution. We will most definitely not be recommending this hotel to friends , family or staying here for any future visits. Overall this is extremely disappointing as it tarnishes the good reputation and name Novotel usually holds for its establishments.

What a surprise. Entrance, garage, check-in were so easy. But there was another big surprise: we were upgraded to a Suite. Room and bathroom were prefect and clean. The restaurant food was very good. There is a nice terrace overlooking the large swimming pool. The staff was very professional and extremely friendly. Breakfast was a very well appointed buffet. The location was perfect for us. Not too far from the freeway without the drawbacks and not too far from Lugano that can be reached in less than half hour. We highly recommend this hotel.

+ Panorama Room is nicely renovated, well decorated. High quality interior (eg nice bar cabinet, closet with good coat hangers…) + bed is excellent + size was good to stay with 2 adults + 2 kids (we stayed only one night) + hygiene is top, everything is super clean + staff is very helpful (guided us well to visit Como and find restaurants) + location is quite peaceful: not too touristic, charming square across the street. But not the ideal location if you want to experience Lake Como directly. It takes a 15min drive to get there (which is’t so far away, but I guess there are plenty of accommodations that are located at the lake itself) - bathroom not renovated - there is paking just near the hotel, but it’s a blue zone (free parking for 1 hour). Everything else is Payable We did not experience the restaurant but it looks like a fine option to eat, so that is definitely an added value

I was pleased to spend three wonderful days at the Hotel Firenze in Lugano and I couldn't be more enthusiastic than my experience. This charming hotel has really made my stay unforgettable in all respects. Since I reached the threshold, I was welcomed with a warm smile from the professional and courteous staff. Their attention to details and dedication to make sure that all my needs were met made my stay very pleasant from the beginning. The hotel restaurant is a real treasure for the kitchen lovers. Each meal I enjoyed was a unique culinary experience. The dishes were prepared with fresh and quality ingredients, and the staff were careful to my food preferences. Candlelight dinners in the inner courtyard added (on request) a touch of romanticism to my evenings. The location of the Hotel Firenze is simply invidiable. The walks along the lake and visits to local boutiques have been a key part of my experience. But what really made my stay at the Hotel Firenze so special was the sincere and careful attention of the staff. In addition to providing good services, they have made every interaction a pleasant and familiar moment, as if I was home away from home. In the end, my three-day stay at the Hotel Firenze in Lugano was simply perfect. I was not only able to enjoy a accommodation in one of Switzerland's most attractive cities, but also found a shelter where comfort, hospitality and elegance are combined with a unique experience.

The rooms are very nice and the environment is beautiful. Sitting on the balcony of the room, listening to birds, drinking a little wine, and admiring the lights of Lugano Lake and the mountain homes on the opposite side, it is really a treat. The room is equipped with an electric kettle, shampoo, and shower gel. You need to bring your own dental appliances and slippers.

Nice and modern hotel in good location with great views over the Lago di Lugano. The staff was professional, experienced and super friendly. Breakfast was always good with plenty of choice. We'll definitely stay again at Grand Hotel Campione!

Well..... where do I start, this is one of the most breath taking places I have ever visited in the world. I booked this for my daughters 30th birthday it was her choice to go to Switzerland, neither of us had visited this part of the world before and it far exceeded our expectations. It took a plane, train and a taxi to get us to the hotel so a bit of a journey but sooooooo worth it. We flew to Milan, took a train to Lugano and got a cab up to the hotel. Tip catch the 444 bus from the train station, it so much cheaper than a cab and the bus drops you right outside the hotel, we used the bus every time after that to go down to the town. The hotel itself is stunning, the views are amazing, you have to see them to believe the photos do not capture the utter beauty of this place. You will also notice the peace, all you can hear is birdsong, it is absolute heaven. The hotel staff are amazing, they could not be more helpful. We has lots of questions and time and again they helped even printing bus time tables and giving us maps and tips. We had a welcome prosecco on arrival and then went to find our room. WOW! and what a room We had been upgraded from a garden room to a room with a view of the lake and a wrap around balcony. My daughter opened the balcony door and almost burst with excitement, it was amazing. We had a twin room which was large and super bathroom and even the view from the loo. The room was clean and comfortable, there is a safe, fridge and kettle. You are provided with robes, slippers and even a bag to pop your bits in when using the spa. This hotel has thought of everything. I could write a 10,000 word review on this hotel there is so much to say. The infinity pool is warm and you lean your elbows up on the side and just stare at that view. There is an amazing indoor pool which you can swim into from the outside pool through automatic doors. Tip give the sensors a little wave and the doors open quicker. We had two treatments in the Dot spa a massage on one day and a facial on the other, both fabulous and the staff in the spa are great. Breakfast was included in our room rate and had so much choice. We eat in the restaurant for lunch a dinner but also had room service and dinner on our balcony which was lovely and a little bit cheaper to. The view every where are fantastic, it takes 30 minute to get up the mountain so you are very high. There is a little airport way below and we loved watching the planes take off over the lake and we were still way above them. We took a walk through the Algra mountain one morning and whilst it is challenging (its very steep) it is so beautiful and worth the climb. I could say so much more but I think you should just go and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed you will come away feeling on top of the world. My daughter loved it so much she is going to return with her husband for their 10th wedding anniversary. Thank you so much Kurhaus we had the best time.
