Check in was easy, really nice receptionist, room was super clean, I had like 5 towels. Sopa and body wash was provided, at lwast 5 sockets, really nice and comfy room.

I stayed only one night as my preferred hotel was fully booked and I was forced into hotel city lugano. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was the kindest I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. Sure the decor isnt anything to praise and they dont have room service or other basics but it is clean and efficient. I have to say one more time that the staff here is just amazing, every single one of them. I would recommend this hotel.

It is not often that you find one of those true gems of a hotel. This is one of them. This is the hotel that you will tell people to stay in if they visit the lake Como area. The hotel is right on the lake. You should definitely choose a lake facing room. The scenery is breath taking. The hotel is in a quiet village away from the hectic and chaos of other towns around the lake. Argegno has plenty of excellent places to eat. Argegno is a quant village to explore. There is a ferry stop about 50 metres from the hotel. It is on the bus route. There is parking at the hotel. The rooms are very clean. If you are a four or five star hotel person, don’t let the three stars put you off. I think the three stars are only because there isn’t someone at the front desk during the night, you are given a key to get back into the hotel if you will be out after 10:30pm. This is an ‘oh wow!’ hotel.

I was pleased to spend three wonderful days at the Hotel Firenze in Lugano and I couldn't be more enthusiastic than my experience. This charming hotel has really made my stay unforgettable in all respects. Since I reached the threshold, I was welcomed with a warm smile from the professional and courteous staff. Their attention to details and dedication to make sure that all my needs were met made my stay very pleasant from the beginning. The hotel restaurant is a real treasure for the kitchen lovers. Each meal I enjoyed was a unique culinary experience. The dishes were prepared with fresh and quality ingredients, and the staff were careful to my food preferences. Candlelight dinners in the inner courtyard added (on request) a touch of romanticism to my evenings. The location of the Hotel Firenze is simply invidiable. The walks along the lake and visits to local boutiques have been a key part of my experience. But what really made my stay at the Hotel Firenze so special was the sincere and careful attention of the staff. In addition to providing good services, they have made every interaction a pleasant and familiar moment, as if I was home away from home. In the end, my three-day stay at the Hotel Firenze in Lugano was simply perfect. I was not only able to enjoy a accommodation in one of Switzerland's most attractive cities, but also found a shelter where comfort, hospitality and elegance are combined with a unique experience.

We stayed here for 1 night whilst travelling from the UK to Italy. Our stay did not start well unfortunately. We arrived in the middle of some roadworks outside the hotel and in the surrounding area. Coupled with the fact that we had a roofbox on our car, reception suggested that we entered the hotel car park via a different entrance rather than the one a short distance from reception on the hotel grounds. The receptionist wasn't very aware of the roadworks and proceeded to vaguely show me on the map how to get to the other car park entrance. It was clear she did not know and actually told me the wrong way! It took me 25 mins to find the correct route to the car park entrance due to the deviations, roadworks and traffic! Not a great start. Next, I arrived at the room that we had been allocated - I had booked a deluxe room (for 3 people through hotels.com) - this was not a deluxe room, although much bigger it was a ground floor apartment with 2 separate bedrooms with no air conditioning and a lounge a couple of short corridors away from the bedrooms which did have air conditioning! Bearing in mind the daytime temperatures at the time were 33-34 degrees, we were not going to have a good night sleep! Back to reception to complain, initially saying that they did not have any other rooms left however they did eventually offer us a deluxe room with air conditioning that fed nicely into the main bedroom - that is all we wanted and what I had actually booked! They set up a third bed in the room for my daughter, problem solved! Location was very good with excellent views of the lake, a 10-15 mins walk into the centre which was fine for us. Buffet breakfast was excellent, we chose to sit outside on a lovely terrace with lake views. Service was very good. We then used the outside pool facilities and loungers until mid afternoon - again all excellent, clean, lovely pool, and when we left, we were sad that we could only stay for 1 night! In the end the room problems were resolved, the morning receptionists providing us with a free drink in the bar for the inconveniences caused however it could have been avoided if I had been given the room that I had booked from the start and better training should be given to the receptionists so that they know exactly what instructions to give to clients on how to reach the hotel car park. Would I stay here again? Yes, I would.

What a surprise. Entrance, garage, check-in were so easy. But there was another big surprise: we were upgraded to a Suite. Room and bathroom were prefect and clean. The restaurant food was very good. There is a nice terrace overlooking the large swimming pool. The staff was very professional and extremely friendly. Breakfast was a very well appointed buffet. The location was perfect for us. Not too far from the freeway without the drawbacks and not too far from Lugano that can be reached in less than half hour. We highly recommend this hotel.

The accommodation is top in all areas. The only thing that has irritated us a little at the beginning is the unused reception. Check in online, but it has super hit. We could get into the room at 1400 instead of 1500. Because we wanted separate beds, and these were only in the higher category, we were simply ”upgraded”, just top. Also the extra bed for our 5-year-old daughter was mega comfortable. It was all very clean and the daily cleaning was Super. We are and were just excited. We will certainly come back. Súper decent hotel outstanding staff my stay here with my family was wonderful and comfortable. The best thing about a vacation is to rest well and have a delicious breakfast and this hotel has it all, a first class service, with high quality care, I have to mention what caught my attention the most was the hygiene at breakfast time is very Important for me. I don't have many photos but I do have videos that I can't upload here from the hotel but I have it on my Instagram karol__0729….Very satisfied with our stay, just need to implement the parking

My husband and I are visiting Lugano at the end of our trip across northern Italy and Switzerland. What was supposed to be a nice nostalgic trip as my husband lived and went to university here many years ago ended up starting off not so great due to our experience at the Novotel Pardiso. We are avid travelers and never have I experienced such disrespect and disappointment in what claims to be a 4 star hotel. We arrived yesterday with no issues only being told we had to prebook a breakfast time due to the hotel managing large groups. This is ok not a problem. We decided to have breakfast to our room and went to make coffee using their in room Nespresso machine to find that two pods were stuck in the machine. We then removed the tray to see if it was full and the coffee from the pods was clearly pushed through. We called the front desk for assistance and someone came to the room then accused us of breaking the machine and we would be charged 350euro. Our main issue here is no one really looked at or tried to fix the machine , their response was to accuse us and look for payment for a new machine. There was a full tray of pods in the room proving we had not been the ones to cause this issue as we had just arrived one night and the room had not been serviced yet. We were told to speak with the manager as the hotel were claiming apparently that the previous guests had not caused this problem therefore it was our fault. All of this treatment even though we were the guests whom raised the issue , there were two pods stuck in the machine and we had a full tray of unused pods in our room. The issue is not so much the coffee machine itself or even the money , it was the hotels immediate response of accusation , unwillingness to resolve and the managers response when we tried to discuss with her. We expressed our disappointment on how the situation was handled and the accusations expressing our intent to leave earlier as a result to be told “ it is too late to check out now “. We had already paid for our room for 3 nights and at this stage it was clear that the client is not important to this hotel. We left and do not even care for the money back on our stay as that was not worth the effort given the managers response to us leaving as “ good” We travel regularly in many 4 and 5 star hotels and this is the first time I’ve experienced such disregard from management and also such accusations and demand for money instead of resolving and discussing to resolution. We will most definitely not be recommending this hotel to friends , family or staying here for any future visits. Overall this is extremely disappointing as it tarnishes the good reputation and name Novotel usually holds for its establishments.

Hotel Splendidie is a grand hotel in an impressive building and many parts of the building are impressive. However many aspects of this hotel are disappointing and I even question it being 5 star! We stayed in a Palace Deluxe double room, with lake view and large balcony. The room was spacious and well laid out, but was let down by a set of IKEA (like) wardrobes that didn’t fit at all! The balcony was nice but there is a very busy road between the hotel and lake and there is a lot of road noise. The hotel has 2 main restaurants, we only used the Veranda, which was fine but nothing special. We also used the out side bar which was a third place you could eat, with Pizzeria being available in the evenings as well. This whole area was nice but it just felt like a pop up bar, it lacked any real splendour and comfort we have seen in so many other 5 star hotels. On the Thursday evening they hosted “market place” pop up restaurant that we booked – the evening was pleasant enough but all the staff were on edge and I suspect this was the first time they had put it on. Overall the food was simple eg cold meats & cheeses; pasta; BBQ and Pizza, certainly nothing special! The other strange thing was there was a beautiful bar in side, that was only used if it rained – why not have both open? The outside is space is small and there is no outdoor pool which isn’t great and no access to the lake. Staff were OK but didn’t really make you feel welcome, they often appeared on edge. This hotel could be so much better!
