Well, the penthouse-like restaurant: definitely one of the most splendid views of a capital city in Europe, slightly as breathtaking as the other vis-à-vis I had in this very restaurant on Saturday the 15th of July: an exquisite smile on a lonesome dark-haired woman right before me, later at breakfast, surely a daughter of Aphrodite she is! As available, I should have applied for late checkout on Sunday morning instead of leaving behind her at the reception desk, (sigh) weekends are always too short! So yes, all views considered, splendid breakfast in the restaurant (dining slightly less splendid as one view was missing)! ;) More seriously, this train station is only 10 min afoot away, so you can admire the city as making your way up there. Also, very nice single room, copious dishes, pleasant desserts (the mango was nicely done) and all that a caring personnel! On that note, a very nice weekend in this hotel, I'll definitely be back next year, hopefully to admire again the exact same views! To all the hotel personnel: Thanks for your service!

Great hotel within walking distance of the airport terminal with free parking. Room was clean and this hotel was a fantastic base for our trip to the Belgium Grand Prix at Spa - approx 75 min drive. The local shuttle bus into Luxembourg was over the road with frequent buses into town taking approx 20 mins. All public transport in Luxembourg is free so we visited town in the evening for some lovely food.

This hotel has more pros than cons. Staff very professional. Excellent food for breakfast so pretty pricey at 27 Euro. The rooms look very old fashioned and could do with a bit of touch up but I think that's part of the hotel's charm. I got a single room and it cost me about 98 US Dollars on trip.com's wonderful website. An excellent value for that price even an excellent value for $150 after that find someplace a little newer. Breakfast is really excellent except the eggs were undercooked and the bacon was undercooked and when I asked them to take it back to the kitchen and cook it a little more they would only cook the bacon for me. Maybe in Luxembourg people eat their eggs sweat but no way I could stomach that it would probably make me ill so I skipped the eggs. However the cheese was top notch and the meal was worth 27 Euro if you could eat 27 euro worth of cheese. I would even go so far as to say I would stay here again. The bathroom is a little outdated but charming and had birds and flowers on the tiles. The hotel front desk man acted as a concierge but clearly he had been there for a long time and was very well trained and had very good advice about where to eat and what to see. I like the whole staff and an added asset was the bar downstairs brings you back to many years ago. I was lucky enough to get a balcony in my room and it would be a wonderful idea if I had trouble with somebody to have wine on the balcony and watch the world go by. I will post my view from my balcony. I call this hotel room with a view. The hotel had more more pros than cons and I was happy with my decisions to stay there.

The location is very convenient near the main train station, plus close to bus and tram stops. There is a lot of construction on the road outside the hotel, but it was not a problem. Our room was a good size, not huge, but good open closet/storage space. The bed was comfortable with really good pillows! The bathroom had a really big shower, small sink, but overall nice. Plenty of outlets/plugs, good mirrors, a long desk. We didn't do the breakfast, so can't speak to that. Nor did we go to the rooftop bar. While the lobby/reception area is small it's welcoming and new, just like the rooms. Everything was clean and new and modern. The staff was super helpful and nice. We would happily stay here again.

The location is very good, more than ten minutes walk to the main attractions in Luxembourg. And the hotel has plenty of ground parking spaces, there is an underground parking lot, and free parking. So it is very convenient for us to drive here. The room was very clean, the front desk staff was warm and patient, because I had a parking ticket in Brussels, I didn't understand the text above, the front desk staff was very enthusiastic to help me see and check the information. Thank you very much.

While it is a bit of a walk from the nearest tram station, the room was amazing. As a well designed physical space 10/10, interior design 10/10. Refrigerator and beautiful mid 20th century design red chairs were a visual knockout. The wall next to the bed had a panel that had to have been a hand painted “mural”, from floor to the ceiling a gentle blue gradation that was a joy to experience from the super comfy bed. I would definitely book a room the next time I visit Luxembourg City.

This hotel was chosen due to it's location near to the centre and the station where we would be travelling in from Hamburg. The price was also excellent which included a full buffet every morning. Check-In, We didn't arrive until 19:30 due to late and cancelled DB trains on our way down from Hamburg! It was the fastest check-in we have ever had and we were given our key which also worked the front door of the hotel. Room, 305 was our room for three nights. This was a great sized room with a mini bar and everything you need for a stay including a super-comfy bed. The separate bathroom had a small walk-in shower which on the odd occasion the water flow was a bit 'hit & miss' so to speak!! No big dramas though!! Food, The food at this hotel is excellent! La Locanda is the hotels restaurant where you have your breakfast. There was a good choice of hot and cold buffet items to set you up for the day and you could eat what you wanted. We did have two evening meals here as well which were fantastic to say the least! My 'Calzone' pizza was absolutely sublime to say the least and the portion size's were huge!! Go with an empty stomach!! Overall, A well located hotel for Luxembourg City! The price is right for this beautiful city and country. There are plenty of buses into town right outside the hotel which the 29 takes you right outside the train station. Make use of the public transport, as at this moment in time it is free to use in the whole country.

No. No. No. No. No. Electric outlet in bathroom didn't work; had to dry hair in main room with a handheld mirror. Shower is a handheld sprayer - sprayed water all over bathroom, needed to use all our towels to mop up the flood; the drain in the bathroom was coming apart and floating around our feet; ”King” sized bed is actually two twins pushed together. Our ”Suite” is a room on a very busy noisy street. Ancient hotel with small minimal cosmetic changes. No in-room temperature controls, room was hot af (but couldn't open windows - see below). No blackout curtains. Hotel did not advise us 3 blocks around hotel were to be repaved on our weekend stay. Could not use hotel parking, had to park on street 2 blocks away. Crews started work at 6am on both Saturday and Sunday morning. Stinky asphalt and huge construction trucks. We realize this is out of the hotel's purview, but no notification from the hotel. Crickets. Nowhere near city center. If you choose this hotel, INSIST on park view room, call a few days ahead to get this guarantee. Would not recommend under any and all circumstances.

Perfect! From the welcoming check-in, a clean and quiet room and a plentiful breakfast with an efficient check-out — the stay at this establishment was everything you would expect from a stay at a hotel. Well done - I can recommend this place without caveat, the staff does a tremendous job!

Outstanding customer service & cleanliness. What a wonderful find. My husband first stayed here while on a business trip last year. Our daughter is now doing a 7 week internship nearby and he proposed the Residhome to be her home base while here. I’m so pleased we didn’t chose an Airbnb or a hotel in the city. This place feels brand new. Everything is immaculate from the common areas, laundry facilities to the parking lot, everything feels and looks brand new. Now onto customer service, there is no one single person that has not been attentive, cordial and accommodating. Everyone treat us like a good old friend and we love to feel the connection and the closeness of the personnel. The room is spacious, consisting of floor to ceiling windows so there is plenty of light to make it feel bigger, it also has a sitting area, kitchenette (complete with dishwasher, refrigerator, pots, pans & cooking and eating utensils) bathroom is spacious also with a nice two shower heads. The breakfast is wonderful. You’ll find a vast variety of delicious baked goods, cheeses, jams, deli ham, yogurt, fruits, French soft boiled eggs, coffee and juices. The area is safe and has everything you need within walking distance. The shopping mall across the street has supermarket, dry cleaning, nail salon, a discount store called Action that can be compared to a small Walmart in the US, a movie theater plus all the stores you expect in a mall. You also have an Aldi around the corner and a beautiful revamped coal factory area with several restaurants. A gym is also within waking distance. Our daughter feels safe and at home and we have peace of mind having her staying here. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a lovely experience. We will definitely recommend Residhome to anyone coming to Lux.
