it was a very bad experience in this hotel, the bathroom is flooding after taking shower since the water drain so slow. Even one night no hot water provide, and my boss room suddenely no electricity. there are few steps to the escalator in the lobby, it is not convenient to take the heavy luggage up the steps. the only one good thing is the breakfast, many choices. All of us dont think it is worth of this hotel. not recommand at all. very disappointed

We spent two nights at the Okko Lyon at the beginning of August 2022. The property consists in a restored building right on the banks of rivet Rhone. The interior is all modern design and while the club lounge is really well decorated, rooms are more on the simple and essential side. Our room while not large was quite comfortable with a balcony and partial river view. The location of the hotel is perfect to visit Lyon on foot with easy access to both the centre and the old town. The club with all day refreshments and aperitif in the evening is a nice an welcoming inclusion. Some areas of improvement we feel could be addressed are: one or two extra towel hooks in the rather compact bathroom, a mini bar in the rooms even if you get refreshments at the club and finally it would be nice and expected to have the first glass offered with the evening aperitif while all alcoholics are extra. Breakfast is nice with a good range of both sweet an savoury items on offer. Finally the staff are all professional nice and welcoming. In all a good address to visit Lyon!

The room is large but there is not much furniture. It only has a bed, table and chairs, but there is a kitchen with almost all the kitchen utensils and a bottle opener (as expected of France) Very clean and comfortable. It is located in the residential area of Villeneuve de Lyon. Next to it is Golden Head Park. It is perfect for wandering around. The surrounding buildings are very French and beautiful. Some of them look like aristocratic mansions in movies and cartoons. It is a 2.2-kilometer walk from Lyon Part Dieu train station. You can also take a bus to get there. We walked with a big suitcase for almost half an hour and enjoyed the city scenery without feeling tired. When we left, we had a Lyon pass, so it was very easy to take the bus. convenient The hotel is a local four-star hotel. You can take the subway to Place Bellecour in the old town of Lyon. You can also walk to visit the scenic spots. It is also very comfortable to walk along the Rhone and Saone rivers. The front desk was very professional and answered all questions. His English was very good and he also provided a map. There are also many supermarkets and restaurants around the hotel, which is convenient for eating. If you have a French train pass, it is strongly recommended to buy the Lyon pass because you can get almost 50% off. The pass can go to almost all attractions in Lyon, can take all public transportation (including the Fourvier Mountain Cable Car), and can take the Saone River cruise tour. It is very convenient and cost-effective.

This was the second time I had stayed at the Grand Hotel des Terreaux. The hotel is in a central location in Lyon, and I like the style. The service was excellent, they speak English, and I loved the breakfast buffet. The room I stayed in was very nice but on the smaller side, typical for hotel rooms in France. The bed was very comfortable for me, and the room had air conditioning which is great as it can get quite warm in France. Wireless access was included, and fast and reliable. Overall an excellent hotel I can highly recommend.

The hotel is very close to the Padiu train station and bus station, just 200 meters away from the north gate. The train station has recently been renovated and requires a detour. There are many restaurants, supermarkets, and large shopping malls next to the hotel, making eating and transportation very convenient. Breakfast doesn't have much variety, but it's clean. The structure of the room is a bit messy, not very big, and the balcony is not well protected. It is probably because the apartment was converted into a hotel. The service staff were very warm and friendly. The room didn't seem to be cleaned every day. I stayed alone for two days in a row so I didn't mind.

Great location, in the heart of Lyon city center. Very clean room. Plenty of good restaurants just down the street and all around - and luckily its not not noisy at all in the room. The night shift receptionnist is friendly and nice. For a 4-star hotel, it would great if bottled water could be provided in the room although water refiller is available at the reception. But well, the fact is that 4-star hotels standard in Europe is definitely lower than Asia’s 4-star hotels.

The hotel was super close to the trainstation and in walkable distance for downtown. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We arrived at night because of a flight delay. The beds were soft and comfy - not too soft, just perfect. When we checked out the staff ask if we would like to store our luggage but we were on our way to there airport. A nice touch.

My wife has stayed here several times over the years, me, only couple. Lovely spa area, as usual But…. 1) the showers in the rooms are, and always have been, absolutely poor. No power, impossible to stay in a fixed position and difficult to adjust the temperature 2) the two lifts are small and incredibly slow 3) pre COVID you could go to the bar from the spa in the towelling robes. Apparently, people complained and now it is not allowed. But it is Ok for women exposing lots of flesh albeit in outdoor clothing. We don’t understand the logic We should not have to complain about the first two points about a fairly expensive 4* hotel

Dieses alte Gebäude wirkt zuerst gar nicht einladend. Innen entdeckt man, dass einiges Altes erhalten blieb und mit moderenen Bilder und Farben etwas aufgelebt wurde. Leider wurden wir nicht erwartungsmäs freundlich empfangen! An der Rezeption existierte fraglich unsere Buchung nicht. Nach langem Warten bekamen wir dann doch noch ein kleines Zimmer zugewiesen! In diesem Zimmer brillierte ein riesen TV-Bildschirm und ein bequemes Bett, das fast das ganze Zimmer ausfüllte. Ein kleines Bad mit grosser Dusche war vorhanden. Blick vom Zimmer direkt auf den Bahnhof nebenan. Der Speisesaal zeigt sich sehr ehrwürdig und geschmackvoll. Zum Abendessen gab es zur Vorspeise ohne Alternative einen Zwiebelkuchen! Der Hauptgang war gut, wenn auch nicht besonders warm. Dessert sehr gut. Leider war die Bedienung alles andere als freundlich. Wir wurden nie gefragt, ob wir nebst dem Wasser auf den Tischen noch einen Wein bestellen möchten. Man war auch nicht bereit den Hauptgang ohne Fleisch zu servieren! Als Durchgangshotel ja, ansonsten nein!

The hotel is beautifully located near many attractions, bars and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable but did not like the pillows particularly. The room was cleaned but not hugely spacious. Plenty of space for your belongings. We had room 52. The shower was great but the towel rail was right in front of the toilet and it was physically impossible to sit straight while on the toilet. Even harder if you are tall! Otherwise, the Rooftop has a beautiful view of Fauvriere and it’s worth going for it. We decided to have breakfast somewhere else as we didn’t think it was worth €18 considering there are so many other lovely places in the area where they offer more choice for less. We haven’t tried dinner, but there’s a lovely atmosphere up there. Staff were very kind and professional at all times.
