We spent an enjoyable four nights in Lubi and were truly impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff and the friendliness of every single person we met. Our accommodations were pristine, with clean and comfortable rooms that made us feel right at home. During our stay, we frequently visited the gaming area to entertain ourselves during the rainy afternoons, and we appreciated the variety of amenities available to us. We were somewhat disappointed by the limited food options available at the hotel, particularly given our previous stays at Dusit Makati. The variety and quality of food during our two weeks there led us to have higher expectations. Unfortunately, during our visit in Lubi, it seemed that nearly everything we wished to order was unavailable. On one particularly frustrating day, they only have 1 out of the 5 kids options available and even ran out of soda, which was quite a challenge with my 6-year-old in tow, as we were left with few alternative dining options in the vicinity. When we expressed our concerns to the staff, the Food and Beverage Manager graciously took the time to engage with us. He provided insight into the situation, explaining that the shortage of menu items stemmed from an influx of large groups and difficulties with stock deliveries. He reassured us that if we communicated our requests ahead of time, they would make every effort to accommodate our requests. Eager to experience something special, we decided to order a seafood platter. While we appreciated the dish's flavor and enjoyed the presentation, we were taken aback to discover that the shrimp and squid were not fresh (frozen) and simply sautéed in butter. Given the hotel's esteemed reputation, encountering such challenges during our dining experiences was unexpected and left us longing for the satisfying meals we had anticipated. We had a pleasant stay overall and would consider returning in the future, but maybe just for an overnight stay.
