The Tytherington

We came so my husband and son could play golf and I could enjoy the spa (and peace) 😉. The spa was great. Lovely and clean and spacious. The pool itself was also fabulous with dedicated family time for those with children. Upon arrival room wasn't ready as we were early to allow the boys to play golf. I was allowed to use the health club facilities which was great. Once our room was ready Sophie from housekeeping checked we had everything we needed, she was a pleasure to speak to. A couple of staff on reception may need to look at their customer service skills but all other staff were lovely and helpful. The food really let the place down. For tea we chose to go to the pub which is a 3 minute drive rather than eat at nothing more than a glorified cafe charging gastro prices. We had already paid for breakfast and had opted to have it to the room due to an early tee off time. At almost 45 minutes late and 3 phone calls to the reception breakfast turned up cold and inedible. The only warm item was the sausages and I mean warm not hot. It was such a let down. I thought I had book an amazing hotel and was really looking forward to it but overall I would say the Tytherington is nice but nothing special.
Hollin House Hotel

It is a very historic castle. The room at the back should be built later. The environment in front of the hotel is very good. There is a large grassland, there are sheep, and there is a small garden. You can see the stars at night. The faucet of the wash basin is separated from cold and hot, or it is cold or hot, the water in the bath room is too small, the small bed will be rattled when it turns around, there is an activity that night or something, there is a very noisy sound of guests at 1 am. Surprisingly, I gave a bottle of red wine to the room. In addition, the mountain trail that follows the navigation is still quite thrilling.
Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa

The afternoon tea today was absolutely perfect. Every item was completely delicious and beautifully presented. The best part was the staff making everything feel wonderful. We were looked after and taken care of exceptionally well. Attention to detail by the staff of dedication to our experience exceeded all expectations! We celebrated my sister’s birthday and it was my daughters first ever afternoon tea and all of us had the most wonderful time. The room we sat in was exquisite- full of light and beauty and very clean. To finish off, an autumnal walk in the woods in the grounds of the Hall. Thank you for a truly amazing day!
