Blau Punta Reina

Late summer family holiday. Upon arrival it’s obvious that the grounds are so well looked after and this standard is apparent through every aspect of the hotel. The room was immaculate, cleaned every day. The restaurant was incredible. The chefs and kitchen staff deliver the most amazing meals. The entertainment for the kids - off the scale, good. The entertainers, incredible individuals-mastering a number of languages- performing great shows. Without doubt, the best family hotel we’ve ever stayed at. We will go back.

This was the first trip abroad with the younger children (7 & 9). They have never left the UK before (money always been tight). Both the wife and myself had very little experience with booking abroad so we were nervous to see what we had booked. Well...... the holiday was AMAZING. The hotel is fresh, clean and welcoming. All the staff are attentive and most speak enough English for stress free transactions. There are numerous places to eat and the food is well presented and cooked. The deserts are out of this world. There are 3 pools within the ground of the hotel. All are immaculately cleaned every day. Even the sun loungers are rearranged after everyone has moved them out of positions from the day before. The lifeguards are always alert and friendly. There are more bars than I can remember, we only used 1 or 2 purely because of the location of the favourite pool for the children. But service is very quick and efficient. Staff are always friendly. Your room can be cleaned daily if you wish. The cleaners again are extremely helpful and friendly (English not so good but better than my Spanish). Our cleaner even went to the effort of making an elephant and a Swan out of towels much to the kids surprise. There are loads of pre organised activities. Yoga, water fitness, football, archery etc etc. Again the staff bring an element of positivity to your holiday in everything they do. There are 2 separate kids clubs. One for the younger children and another for the older kids. Both have various activities every day, 2 sessions am and pm. Our kids went to a couple but did find that English is probably the least used language in the club. Both French and German appears to be popular at this resort (not a bad thing overall honestly I'd sooner holiday with the French and German than British 😉) There are 2 walking distance beaches. Both with turquoise sea (until the storm hit) but never the less beautiful picturesque sites that take your breath away. The animation team..... these are basically the entertainers of the hotel. They are outstanding in their jobs. The memories they have made for my family whilst there are magic. The lion King show was out of this world and we are still talking about it now and showing friends and family videos and pictures. There is probably loads of bits that I have missed. Part of me wants to keep it secret as it was just the right level of busy. Thank you so much Blau punta Reina my kids will always remember their first holiday abroad.
