Recommended lake view room, the scenery outside the window is about 2 kilometers of Managua Lake. Wherever it is, Managua is small. I heard that the boss is a Taiwanese. There is also a Chinese restaurant next to the hotel.

A nice hotel in Managua located right next to the Metromall. It's a all around decent hotel but nothing spectacular. I liked that they offer a taxi service which is able to be charged to your room or through credit card. The business center is nice with 3 computers to use. I did not like that they did not have any bottled water at the front desk when I asked for some as you can't drink the tap water in Managua.

I wish I could rate this hotel 0 star in fact. That wouldnât be right to some of the employees there. This hotel has been a disaster since my family came here for vacation & to visit family. They have completely ignored our request to clean the room on multiple occasions. Even when I informed them I found a cockroach in the bathroom tub. The AC feels like itâs not functioning properly. Even when we called the maintenance worker, the room doesnât feel cool. We had 2 rooms 503 & 514. All this happened within the first 3 days of our family vacation & still had 3 more days to go. The lights & the water seem to turn off randomly at times during our stay. It happened when I was taking a shower & another when my mom was using the bathroom. They had another moment when the lights went off again. Also when taking a shower the hot & cold water seem to come out randomly if both knobs were turned on it keep a combination of the temperatures. It took good amount of calling the front desk to make sure things would even work a regular standard hotel experience, let alone a the Hilton name. The one saving grace is not the front desk it surely isnât, itâs the workers, the cleaning staff, the maintenance staff. They were friendlier & more attentive to our concerns. I will NOT be coming back to this hotel ever again. STAY AWAY !!!!! Did not BRING ANY VALUE TO MY FAMILY VACATION.

The folder charged me the money again after I paid on the trip platform, claiming that the platform only gave them 27% and charged me again 31 dollars more, saying that the platform does not advertise that it has two types of rooms, one with fan and the other with a/c and it costs 58 dollars a/c the pool area is dirty the water in the pool is green in short the hotel is kind of neglected

We enjoyed our stay at the Nicte Hotel, such a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are very quiet, the bed and pillows are so comfortable, the view from our window was so pretty , the rainfall shower head was appreciated. The nice clean pool and the yummy breakfast a plus. Friendly, professional staff, especially Adiak. The only thing I would recommend Management is to add a full length mirror and a mini fridge in each room. Other than that, we highly recommend this little Oasis when traveling to Managua.

Excellent
Honestly, there are not such great accommodation options in Managua, and I'm so grateful to have found El Almendro. I will always stay here in Managua and I recommend that you do too! I have stayed here twice in 2023. The first time I was with my fiancee, and the second time when we returned for our Oct. wedding in Granada. We spent a few nights at this hotel with my parents before the wedding. Spacious rooms, good security, good AC, hot water showers, incredibly friendly staff, nice pool with sitting areas around, great breakfast made-to-order, good location, and the place feels very local. I like supporting smaller locally-owned and operated places, instead of hotel chains owned by foreign billionaires. Some of the rooms have kitchenettes and couches. It is across the street from a great restaurant where we ate a few times, Metro De Asado, with large portions of really delicious food, as well as a block away from a book/art/school supply store (Libreria Hispamer) and really nice cafe/restaurant that serves delicious food and drinks, called El Molino Coffee Shop. There are also local Nica food stands within walking distance so that you can experience more local food. We had a rental car the second time and could securely park it inside the hotel grounds. The first time we didn't have a car, and found it to be a convenient location, very close to a main bus stop at âLa Ucaâ (Universidad Centroamericana).
The facilities are nice BUT they are lacking good service, Itâs just just not there. Let me tell you from the beginning this place is NOT LGBTQ friendly, I spent a night here with my partner and the staff was very rude and kept looking at us in a very judgmental way, nobody gave us that welcoming feeling you expect from a place where you visit for the first time specially if youâre paying for the service and expect great things. From the beginning there were many issues. As a 5-star Hotels Forbes Trainer I can tell you they need to fix many things 1. The front desk staff is NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE about packages and whatâs included in the price I booked my reservation online and never received any confirmations nor any details via email, I had to call the hotel and ask for them to process the reservation. Again the front desk lady knew nothing about it and had me call Marjorie? For more details. 2. They did not give me any details about breakfast when checking in and we missed it. The front desk Lady was rude and dismissive she did not provide any details about the services and where to find stuff around the hotel. 3. They did not give us the welcome cocktail 4. I asked for a different wine than the one included in the package and even though they couldnât change it for free, they still did not offer me another option even as an extra cost, which I wouldâve pay for if offered 5. During dinner, the server was so worried about 2 men enjoying their romantic package that she messed up my order and brought the wrong plate (never apologized for it) 6. The servers at Azul are rude and just not welcoming. Customer Service itâs just not present, itâs just plain rude and horrible service. In the end they have the facilities and theyâre nice but theyâre lacking great staff and great service. NOT recommended at all specially if youâre local, if I ever come back it might be just because of the American set up they have in most of the facilities but not because I was happy during my stay.
AASmithThis hotel is across the street from the hotel and has a 24 hour shuttle service. They are very prompt in their replies via WhatsApp. The bed is comfy, room is clean and the wifi is fast enough for online video calls. One con is I never could get the hot water to work in the shower but I live in Nicaragua so Iâm used to cold showers lol. The staff is friendly and the breakfast has good, local options.
LLovetotravel121221I booked this hotel because of the great reviews, the time our flight landed and the convenience of being close to the airport. We arrived late at night and their shuttle was not available so I was told they would have a taxi waiting for us to bring us to the hotel. That never happened. Upon arrival - no greeting from the woman at the front desk and the atmosphere was not welcoming at all. She explained nothing to us and only asked for payment. I had to ask for water, amenities information and the time that breakfast is served. The rooms were comfortable, I like the three beds and they have AC. My husband however, made the mistake of looking behind one of the bed posts and there was tons of hair, dust and dirt accumulated for who knows how long. It was awful! In the morning - same, no greeting from a different woman at the front desk. To top it off - they were supposed to refund $50.00 back to my credit card. As of today, no refund! So on top of being rude, they also keep the money that they say they are going to refund. Pros - bellhop was extremely nice and helpful and so were the gentlemen working in the restaurant in the morning. Other than that - I would stay far away from this place. Or maybe because we are latinos we are treated differently than other guests. We will never stay here again and we were very excited to be here as this was our first trip to Nicaragua.
GGuest UserNice room with good good aircon, breakfast served from 4am due to being an airport hotel. No towels in the room which we had to ask for and had a long wait for, long wait for check in and staff were helpful but very slow and service was without a smile. Probably a 25 minute walk to the airport from here so we had to pay a 4$ taxi to drop us there (or itâs 6$ for pick up), as itâs an airport hotel we expected it to be more walkable.
GGuest UserThe worst attitude Iâve ever seen. I cannot return to my country because of the war and the owner told me âYou are not that broke if you are travel the worldâ and charged me money for the booking Iâve never used. I donât normally post negative reviews but here I feel that itâs a matter of justice. Iâll describe the situation below so that everyone could decide for themselves if they want to stay here and be a customer of this business. Iâm from Ukraine and now Iâm temporarily in Nicaragua because due to the Russia-Ukrainian war itâs not safe to return to the city where I used to live. The situation there remains unstable and dangerous. I booked two nights at this hostel. I didnât read the reviews or anything (which was my mistake). I simply choose it because it was the cheapest option and Iâm now obviously pressed for money. At the border crossing from Honduras to Managua, some unexpected issues occurred and the officials told me that I had to go back to Honduras and wait. I immediately notified the hostel stuff via a chat on Booking and explained the situation. I politely asked them to change the dates of my booking or cancel it without the penalty due to the force majeure situation. I also told them that I couldnât afford paying for the accommodation where I didnât stay because my budget was pretty limited. In response, the hotel owners charged me the full amount for two nights and deleted the chat. Also, they didnât reply to any of my messages or to my email. I couldnât believe, thought, that someone could treat their customers like that and came to Managua to talk to the owner. When I came to the place, the owner seemed pretty nice, but his attitude changed once he found out that I wanted to ask for the favor of getting the services Iâve paid for. I wasnât offered any compromise or, God forbid, any help. He also lied to me that they had to send some people away because of my booking. I know that itâs not true because I checked Booking several times, and the beds in dormitory were always available for all dates. Basically, he just kicked me out and I had to walk with all my stuff for 50 minutes alone in Managua LATE AT NIGHT. Probably, he decided that I was wealthy enough to afford a taxi but Iâm not. I do understand that business is about making money but at what cost? Are thing going so bad that the owner really had no choice other than taking money from someone whoâs going through hardship? I didnât ask for any charity or something like that. The money has already been paid. The man stated no particular reason why I couldnât use the money Iâve paid for two nights to stay at least one night. He just kicked me out because he CHOSE to do so. Therefore, dear travelers, decide for yourself if you want to finance such an institution.
