My husband and I came to the hotel on Friday 7/10/2022 room 1216 I honestly couldn't say anything negative about this hotel . The moment we walked in Georgia and neelam on reception greeted us warmly and explained everything. Once we settled in we came back to the bar to enjoy the amazing range of cocktails made by Gabriel :) the bar staff were all amazing from the manager phoebe to Pablo and andree they couldn't do more to make you feel welcome . Our room did have a view of the construction but we expected that as we are in the middle of Manchester and it was not a problem at all . The breakfast was beautiful unfortunately I didn't get the gentleman's name who was clearing the tables but he was so nice lastly I would like to give mo from housekeeping a massive shout out our room was spotless and he even gave me a kit kat 😀 what stands out about this hotel is the staff and I mean all the staff shine they all greet you with smiles and I know how hard that can be for a full shift 😀 can't wait to come back thank you

Had to book an overnight stay near to the o2 Apollo due to crap parking at the location and another annoying stupid set of train strikes. Looked at a few budget hotels nearby and decided to go with the Holiday Inn Express as they had on-site parking, breakfast and other amenities very close by (i.e. MacDonalds etc). IT wasn't the cheapest option, not by a long chalk, but reviews were good and it certainly looked the best of the bunch that were available on that date. So, the hotel itself is conveniently located just off a busy main road directly into Manchester and close to motorways, It's in a pleasant park area and has lots of greenery to hide other buildings, roads etc, so that was nice. Checked in easy enough, you pay £5 per night for parking on arrival which was stated in the booking so no surprise, our ground floor room was very nice, simple and clean. Usual TV, hairdryer, kettle and hot drinks sachets. There was also a fan, which was handy as it was a very warm room despite the heating (wall heater) not being on. We were located at the back of the hotel which was very quiet - not the best view in the world but plenty greenery so not too bad (we didn't go there for the view!). The bathroom was small but functional and most importantly, clean! The shower was strong and hot with body soap and shampoo provided. The beds (we had a twin) were soft and comfortable - two pillows (just right for me) and blackout curtains made for a very pleasant nights' sleep. Breakfast, served 7.30am - 10am) was again, simple yet enough for anyone. Cereals, danishes, bread, jams, fruit etc and bacon, sausage, scrambled egg and beans for a hot breakfast with plenty drinks on offer, coffee, juices etc. Had better scramble eggs tbh but otherwise a very good effort for a budget hotel. So, in summary, this hotel does exactly what it says on the tin - it provides a convenient stop-over at a 'reasonable' price with good clean, comfortable accommodation to suit anyone really. P.S. The staff were very nice and helpful - if you need a taxi, 'In-time' were good and prompt but if later at night you may have more luck with an Uber. I would stay here again should the circumstances arise and can recommend to anyone requiring a hotel in this location.

I'm really happy that I decided to book a stay at this hotel. Its central location in Manchester city is perfect for exploring all the attractions on foot. The room I stayed in was spacious and impeccably clean. The breakfast they served was absolutely delicious. However, the only downside was the lack of wifi in the rooms, which meant I had to go to the common area to get online.

Glad to have free WiFi in the hotel and self help coffee at the lobby area,
Room rate was slightly too high for asian travelers as compare to the small room size,
Suggest adding more hooks and shelves on the walls,
may add a big curtain between the bathroom zone and bed zone to increase privacy,
Staff not very familiar with the nearby environment such as supermarket or 24 hrs convenient stores,
maps for guests at their reception desk may be considered

I spent 21 days at this Hilton whilst awaiting my apartment to be ready. The incredibly hospitable staff made the stay a 4/5. Mo the general manager is a top class human as well as a collaborative, uplifting manager. The hotel ac was constantly disrupted, likely due to the unprecedented level of climate change weather, this year. The front desk staff were ready and willing to help with anything I needed. They are mostly 20 somethings that by nature enjoy genuinely helping people. Taren ”consummate professional”, Pier ” my fav Italian”, Igor ”the hustler”, Abbie ”comforting smile”, Demi ”sweetest person”, Winnie ”wish I could adopt her”, Faz ”the kindest human ever”, Lianna ”gets it done - even without a business center”, Serena ”kind and quick”, Jordan ”kind smile” and Patrick ”the mix master”, I would ike to publically thank each of these people for: providing fans in a pinch, providing business center services with0ut a business center, helping with a hot coffee (my fault) incident, suggestions for delicious BRITISH FOOD (?!@$!?), ideas on how to expedite my Manc assimilation. The maid staff were happy to provide extra towels and coffee creamers... they respected privacy and would leave supplies outside of our door unsolicited when we hung our do not disturb sign out... the list goes on and on. This is a wonderful Hampton that should be a model for all of the rest. I've been to a lot of them! I am forever grateful to the kind people here. They would have received 5 stars if the ac worked and the breakfast was changed up a bit. But @HiltonHotels needs to give everyone here a raise.

Terribly noisy. Can hardly sleep every night since moving in. Facing directly to pub street of *** Village. People keep shouting, yelling and singing from midnight towards dawn each day.
The hardware of the room is not in good maintenance condition such as hob and bedside lamp as they do not function properly.

The location of Holiday Inn Express Manchester is great, which is on Oxford Road, close to every amenities in city centre area, next to Manchester Metropolitan University & mins walk to University of Manchester. Very where seems within walking distance.
We booked a room for 3 persons with 1 double bedroom & 1 double size sofa bed.
Room is big but no wardrobe, no fridge, no safe, no view from my room.
Buffet breakfast was provided, choice were limited, like Cumberland sausage, bacon, fried egg, coffee machine, juice, bread, simple pastry, fruits as banana, mandarins, sadly no salads, quality standard was average, no surprise.

I haven't even checked in or been to the hotel. I called to ask for a late check out and got a load of abuse from a really aggressive man called Horsen or Hussain or something. I told him I didnt like his tone aonhe replied ”well if you dont like my attitude or our conditions you shouldn't have made the booking in the first place”, I asked to speak with a manager to which he replied ”I am the manager so its tough”, I said that I was going to proceed in making a complaint to expedia about this to which he said ”its a non refundable reservation so your loss really”, I said that I would pop by the hotel the next day to talk about it in person to which he replied ”if you come through the doors I will call the police we dont want business of people like you that threatens to complain and give a bad review”. I think they are struggling, Gordon Ramsey its time to step in I think. OMG do not reserve here. I am trying to get a refund.

This hotel is advertised as no children however there were multiple children present staying at the hotel during our stay. Welcome: Average, not very engaging or informative. Generally pleasant enough. This was our only interaction with any staff for our entire stay. Room: room was nice enough, fairly clean although there was a small stain on our bed sheets next to the pillow. Bathroom door also looked as though it had taken some punches. Walls slightly discoloured but nice decor. Looked outside the window and lots of rubbish on the outside area floor. Sleep: Bed was comfortable, hotel was quiet, next to main road but not to noisy. I think my partner and I were unfortunate that we were next to someone who snores extremely loudly and the noise vibrated through the very VERY thin walls! Breakfast: variety of fruit, yoghurt, hot and cold drinks, cereals and cooked breakfast, pastries, jams etc. Restaurant appeared clean however in the current climate I would have expected hand sanitizers to be present at the food serving station given how many different people are helping themselves to breakfast. I would say this hotel is good value for money and with a small few changes could be improved vastly.

Excellent
GGuest UserWhat a fantastic wee hotel the Brooklyn is! We stayed here on the night of the 19th of June for one night before heading off abroad the next day. Great location and a very quirky little hotel far exceeding expectations and better than some of these corporate giants, loved it! Staff were all exceptional to us, friendly and professional always. Bar staff on that evening get a special mention as they were brilliant. Cocktails were out of this world, as stated by Cocktail Queen herself who I was travelling with. Loved the terrace style seating near the bar, never seen that before! Rooms were awesome, bathroom fantastic and I did have a good chuckle at the fact that you could see into the bathroom from the bedroom through a one-way glass panel, hilarious! Everything smelt so wonderfully clean in the building too and I could not fault this place at all! A wonderful stay and a big thanks to all the staff that were on that evening and the next day, you should all be exceptionally proud of yourselves!
GGuest UserPros - Room and facilities in room all top quality andd better than any other aparthotel I'd previously stayed in which I can sometimes find to be cheaply fitted out (this was not) - Great coffee, little treats and real milk in the fridge! And the fact it had a fridge btw to keep my little treats chilled! - Super comfortable bed - The power washer-esque shower nearly knocked me over! - Nice scented toiletries - Ironing board and available without needing to ask reception - Wonderful view across the Manchester skyline - Great location for me, maybe 10-15 minute walk at most in any direction to main areas (Picadilly, Arndale, Deansgate, Spinningfields) with the exception of the Northern Quarter (which I knew) - Room could easily accommodate 3 adults Cons - Downstairs lobby area under refurbishment wasn't the best first impression - Lifts could get busy at different times of day - Touch controls took a little getting used to - Would have been a bit pricey at full price for me as a solo traveller but as it was I got a great deal in advance through a bit of up front research and site searching
GGuest UserRooms are clean and tidy. Lovely comfy bed but pillows need replacing as falling apart There was no hairdryer in our room but this was quickly rectified once we asked for one, We had a lovely chilled stay in our room but would not recommend the in house restaurant. I have left a separate review of that..👎 Reception and cleaning staff who we met around the hotel were super friendly. We were on floor 5 and it was so peaceful. If I hadn’t heard a shower (very quiet) next door I would have thought we were the only ones on that floor. Hotel is just a short walk from everywhere so in a good position… Only criticism is the hotel is so hot and I mean hot. You melt at reception when you check in. Also we couldn’t get the air con to work in our room so it was. Constantly 19 degrees
GGuest UserGreat airport hotel. The room was clean and nice. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The included breakfast was good. The hotel isn’t really within walking distance of the airport, an Uber is £10 but the hotel is much cheaper in comparison to the Radisson inside the airport.
GGuest UserHotel is in a good location and is very clean. We stayed before and enjoyed our stay last time so we thought we’d book again for one night but it wasn’t as good. We booked a double room and got two singles pushed together, we kept falling down the middle so didn’t get a good nights sleep. Spoke to the receptionist in the morning and she apologised but we thought it wasn’t worth going down in the middle of the night just for one night but we shouldn’t of had to anyway. When we arrived the people on reception just ignored us and someone had to come out from the back to serve us. I’ll probably look somewhere else next time.
GGuest UserWe arrived earlier than checking due to having spa treatments booked as we were celebrating our 10th anniversary and left our bags at the reception. 3pm we got to our room and got ready to go out for evening. We left the hotel at 5pm and informed reception the thermostat was showing a fault code and we couldn't increase the temperature. Reception said Maintance would sort it. 7 hours later we returned to a room we couldn't increase the temperature to as no one had fixed it. It's a clean nice hotel and great location for concerts but for the price we paid I wouldn't be staying here again.
GGuest UserI stayed at the Milton last night the 22nd and it was excellent. I had read the reviews and was a bot concerned by them so approached the entrance with caution. Its clear the building used to be an office block and home to the DHSS. I was directed to the hotel reception where the pleasant surprises began clean airy and a very efficient and welcoming receptionist. Then onto the room which medium sized was warm the bed comfortable and the shower powerful . I ate in the bar and had a well cooked meal and a beer . Next morning breakfast was simply incredible value the selection was large the coffee good and the produce used a step up. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful . Its cheap but its great
GGuest UserExcellent views from the bar also level 3 is used for breakfast and meals lunch and evening meals lovely meals towards .manchester ,
The check in staff were polite , professional and the room was quite old fashioned for the price and for a 4 star ,
The hotel issued me with a comp check out as booked through *********** from 11am till 12pm and 2 half price drinks at the bar
Booked the night before with trip.com which was the cheapest option online cheaper than the hotel direct ,
Hotel close to train station and tram station , was working going on outside room at 8am to earn
trying to rest
GGuest UserBooked a room without a window for a cheap 1 night break was upgraded on arrival to a room with a window , twin room , massive room , comfy bed , and had tea and coffee facilities, shower above a bath , right in the middle of the city centre , reception was very friendly , and informed me we're the lift was and check out at 10am they do offer a late check of 12pm for £10 or 1pm for £20, also breakfast if booked on arrival was offered at a reduced price of £9.95 , I booked the room for £34 but the option to include breakfast £42 on trip.com so only really £3.50 each for a breakfast which thought was a good offer decided to not have breakfast here , vending machine for snacks choclates crisps and drinks by the lift 24 hours , tv in the room , security on site would not let you in the building till you shown you booking number and I.d and was a bit over the top he was it doesn't mention in booking if staying here guests can not come over after 10pm and must show I.d for each person at reception not seen that before usually just the hotel booked shows I.d so a bit over the top ,
GGuest UserWe only paid £42 for our room as we wanted to be close to the airport …. Used Twilight check in so checked our cases in today and fly in the morning. Room absolutely fine, bar area nice, prices bloody great for a hotel in Manchester especially if you get here for happy hour between 5pm and 7pm … I think it’s Sunday to Thurs. The reason I am writing this review is because of a friendly, very helpful black chap named Michael, he’s awesome! I offered to buy him a drink as we were leaving as I had no cash … he said he couldn’t …. I was gutted, he deserved it!!
