We had an absolute wonderful time at the camp. Three generations and everyone of us left with wonderful memories!! The staff was great, game drives were fantastic, saw lots of animals. Food was fantastic. The staff were very attentive to every detail.

The camp is per se beautiful. But there are some negative traits that makes it less nice than similar luxury camps. Tye food is ok but not great. During our stay the camp was full of people that was acting like they were at own home. Probably the family of the owners. But when you own a luxury hotel you have to make your guest feel treated in a luxury style. Another bad point was the picnic lunch they prepared for our safari. It was really bad not only in the taste and quality but also in the presentation. A very old rag bag with food packed in very used plastic boxes. Zero presentation. No dishes no glass nothing. Just eat from the plastic box. Not to be picky but we were eating next to another couple that was having the same treatment from their luxury camp and they had a proper picnic straw basket with porcelains and cutlery and well presented food.

It was a dream of mine to visit the Mara and stay in a camp. This camp was beyond everything I could’ve imagined and hoped for. There’s so many wonderful amenities that the camp offers that are overlooked in reviews. First off the food!!! Oh my goodness!! My compliments to the chef! There was not one day that I didn’t enjoy my meal. All the animals are grass fed so it’s evident in the taste of the food. Every breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. Usually when hotels/camps include the food they’re sometimes not that great and bland. BUT this camp out does itself. Even for the game drives, they packed our lunches and they were so tasty! Secondly, the hospitality. We felt so welcomed from the moment we got there. Everyone is assigned a butler and a waiter that stay with you throughout your stay. I think that’s genius because you built a relationship with the staff. Daniel, who was our game drive guide, created memories for us that will stay with us forever. We even cried when we had to say goodbye that’s how much we bonded in our few nights there. Thirdly, the property is gorgeous. The rooms are soooo spacious and it’s what made me book the camp in the first place. We had a spacious front porch that overlooked the Mara River with hippos. We got that for free when others pay money to have lunch by the hippos. There’s also baboons roaming around the property which made it fun. There’s not one day that I woke up and couldn’t believe it was real. They offer massages and honestly it was best hot stone massage I have received for 75 minutes. Long story short, book this camp for your dream Safari!! It will not disappoint and it will leave you on could 9!!

Incredible, amazing, beautiful, magical. There are so many words to describe this incredible place. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by super friendly and attentive staff, with cold and hot towels as we checked in, fresh leakage juice and assigned our room. We had chosen a luxury tent. The area is stunning, boasting beautiful wooden features, a stunning pool, and seating areas looking over the Mara river, where hippos are a permanent resident! The luxury tent itself is incredible. A large double bed, en-suite bathroom and toilet, and seating area. It feels like a hotel room more than a tent. Plenty of bottled waters are provided in the room everyday, you will never go short. The bed is comfy and warm, and there is plenty of storage for all your items. You have a personal butler who attends your tour tent. Every morning cleaning and at night turning down the room with hot water bottles and chocolates left on the pillow. If you wish for a wake up call they will wake you with fresh Kenyan coffee and pastries. A special thanks to our butler ‘Elphas’ who was fantastic. There is no iron in the room, but they will iron clothes for you free of charge. There is also 3 items of laundry provided free of charge every day of your visit. So it’s super easy, you just leave out the clothes you want and it is returned fresh, clean and ironed. At night you will hear every animal, including lions, hippos, monkeys. It can get quite loud, which is amazing! But we would advise some ear plugs if you want to block out the noise! The tent is super secure and safe. Not one insect entered our tent during our stay, that’s how zip right the tents are. The food is 10/10. There is so much food provided that you will never leave the camp other than full! Everything is a la carte, with the menu for lunch and dinner changing every day. There is a wide variety of choices. All menus included a starter, soup dish, main and desert. With options for a European dish, rice dish and and a local dish most days. Still and sparkling water provided and of course a choice of drinks from the menu. Our waitress was ‘Daisy’, and we can’t thank her enough. Her professionalism and kindness was second to none, and she always spent time with us discussing our safari and teaching us Swahili. She really went the extra mile during our stay. Breakfast was also a la carte, with everything you can think of. We could not fault any dish, all the food tasted incredible and you never leave hungry. If you wish for a packed lunch to made, the resort will pack you one for your safari. Even this was incredible, with a large 4 course meal packed from a packed lunch menu offering 3 different choices. Outside area as mentioned is beautiful. During our stay we saw hippos, giraffes, monkeys and elephants pass by the river. Cheetahs and lions were also spotted roaming the area outside during our stay. To travel to the Mara triangle it can be quite a long drive, on some difficult roads. So just be pr

Absolutely wonderful. Our tent had a balcony overlooking the river where hippos hung out...I could have stayed there for an entired week instead of three nights - or longer. Food was OK, but it is remote so I wouldn't expect it to be superb. The waiter, Peter, was gracious and professional. The attendant who visited our tent and walked us back and forth, Daniel, stood out as one who really knows how to take care of customers in a sincere and friendly way. He helped us figure out an issue in which our guide (from Nairobi, not associated with Neptune) had taken our cash--he was a thief, but we still had a wonderful experience at Neptune. There is a bartender there (his name began with a "K" I think) made some lovely drinks for my husband when he felt ill - and he showed me a video of a bush baby that had come into the hotel - so amazing! I heard bush babies - but they hide well and are nocturnal, but he caught one on video one night! Overall a great experience. I highly recommend this tent camp! I heard lions, hippos, bush babies and moneys every night -- those sounds will never leave my brain.

I loved this place. It's so peaceful and quiet except for when the hippos wakes you up at 4am lol. It's located right the Mara river so it's such a pleasure to look at and get visited by the hippos. Their dinner at the restaurant and cocktails are so tasty. You get a 4 course meal each time with generous portions. The meals are so delicious. The wake up call is such a nice touch when waking super early. Your butler greets you with either coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and a surprise pastry. They offer 3 pieces of free laundry and shoe polishing. The staff are so kind and nice. The next thing I'll tell you is either a pro or con depending on your preference. When you do a game drive, it can be all day. Now, some people may love that because it gives you a chance to see more animals and get a full experience. For others, sitting in the truck for long periods may not be ideal. Again, that is why I said it depends on your preference. At the time I went, the spa was going under renovations so I did not get to experience it. As for the rooms, it's luxurious for the price paid. You get more bang for your buck. The rooms are huge! Very clean! The two cons I have are that the wifi does not work in your tent. The other issue is that if you're out and doing an activity, they would provide boxed breakfast and lunch but the food would be cold, not making it enjoyable. Keep in mind that they are located far away from the Masai Mara National Reserve entrance. That wasn't a problem for me because I still saw animals on my way there. The roads were very bumpy, there's nothing you can do about nature. Other than that, I would recommend this place to anyone.

Such an amazing stay at the Neptune Mara Rianta. The staff were massively hospitable and friendly. Special mention to Moses our butler, Alfred in the restaurant and the barman Kirui. The food and drinks menu as part of the all inclusive were great and makes a change from the usual buffet style food which gets tedious. The lodges themselves were huge and were serviced by our allocated butler - which overlooked the Mara River where you could spot hippos! Another bonus was that you could get 3 items of laundry done per person per day. Amazing accommodation having done research on the others nearby.
