Riad Sable Chaud

Prós: As senhoras da cozinha e da limpeza eram adoráveis! Inclusivamente, a senhora da limpeza (que não me lembro do nome) deu-nos umas pequenas lembranças. Muito querida mesmo! O senhor que nos atendeu inicialmente também era simpático. Riad super silencioso de noite, situado numa zona calma, onde apenas passam motas e fica a uns 20 minutos da Praça Jemaa El Fna. O nosso quarto era o ……… não tinha janelas para a rua, apenas uma para dentro do Riad. Ótimo wifi no quarto. Bom AC. Os sofás no terraço eram agradáveis. Contras: O senhor (penso chamar-se Momo) parecia bastante simpático, mas revelou-se um autêntico interesseiro, especialmente na forma como tentou vender as excursões/tours. Denunciou-se em variadíssimas atitudes: primeiro tentou vender-nos os preços absurdos deles, depois quando baixou fez-nos acreditar que baixou de tal forma que ficou sem comissão, dizendo-nos que aos Portugueses e Espanhóis como eramos vizinhos e ganhávamos pouco faziam-nos bons preços, aos de outros países eles pagavam na boa o preço de tabela deles. Mesmo assim ficavam de longe mais caras do que no Get Your Guide e afins. Então passou a ser tudo mau na boca dele e dizia que os comentários bons eram pagos às pessoas para dar classificações altas. Mas o dele não!! Nas atividades dele vinham à porta do Riad buscar-nos, nas dos outros não…e então não podíamos tomar o pequeno-almoço (já pago) no Riad pois era cedo. Uma grande mentira! Nem no dele nos foram buscar ao Riad e ainda esperámos tempo sem fim pelo motorista. Cancelámos a segunda atividade com ele e claramente ficou chateado, nem se interessou em nos perguntar se correu tudo bem na atividade vendida por ele! Coincidência ou não, a da internet correu bem e no fim tiveram essa atenção. Pequeno-almoço fraco e com pouca quantidade, tivemos que pedir sempre mais. Para além de que, a comida era toda aquecida, inclusivamente o pão! O chá não era grande coisa. Piscina lá dentro não tinha água com boa cor. Piscina no terraço é um engodo pelas fotos, parece uma pequena fonte…e sem água! Simplesmente não serve para nada!

Pros: - The kitchen and cleaning ladies were lovely! In fact, the cleaning lady (whose name I don't remember) gave us some small souvenirs. Very sweet indeed! The gentleman who initially served us was also friendly. - Super silent Riad at night, located in a quiet area, where only motorbikes pass by and is about 20 minutes from Jemaa El Fna Square. Our room was the "superior double room" it had no windows to the street, only one to the inside of the Riad. - Great wifi in the room. - Good AC. - The sofas on the terrace were nice. Cons: - I emailed the Riad to confirm the reservation, as I booked through Trip.com, and they never responded until I got there on the day. - The gentleman (I think his name is Momo) seemed quite friendly, but he turned out to be a real gold digger when he wanted to sell us the tours/excursions through him. The only interest was to sell! The way and faces he made when he lied completely gave him away! Yes, he lied a lot and we hate being lied to! First he tried to sell us their absurd prices, then when he lowered them he made us believe that he had no commission. He said that the Portuguese and Spanish have little money and those from other countries paid the list prices without saying anything! Even so, they were far more expensive than Get Your Guide and the like. Then it became an excuse that these weren't good! Then it was time for good comments to be bought! But not his!! During his activities they came to the Riad's door to pick us up, during others' activities they didn't. If we didn't book with them, we weren't entitled to breakfast, as we left early and had to go to a meeting point outside the Riad. His began in the Riad. A big lie! They didn't even pick us up at the Riad and we still waited endlessly for the driver. We canceled the second activity with him and he was clearly upset, he wasn't even interested in asking us if everything went well with the activity he sold! Coincidence or not, the internet one worked and in the end they got that attention. Therefore, this man was too intrusive, self-interested and overcame us with tiredness with an activity we booked with him (good thing it was just one, he wanted to sell us 3!) - Weak breakfast and little quantity, we always had to ask more. Furthermore, the food was all heated, including the bread! - The tea wasn't much. - The swimming pool inside did not have good colored water. The pool on the terrace is a deception from the photos, it looks like a small fountain… and without water! It simply serves no purpose!

Very warm welcome from Oussama who took great care throughout the stay A little surprised on arrival no access for the taxi and small, worrying streets when you don't know Marrakech but no problem getting in and out The rooms were clean the Riad is not brand new but quiet and warm for the swimming pool it is true that the photos do not convey reality it is tiny but no regrets If you want to have lunch nearby try the truly traditional restaurant! I recommend Riad Hot Sand!

The riad is somewhat remote, in small alleys, I was there with my sister and we did not feel safe in the evening. The concierge was also not pleasant, we thought we had not booked any excursions with him, so he did not want to give us breakfast when we had been on an excursion for 2 days, he simply said you should book with us! Breakfast was calculated, was not sufficient. But the cleaning and kitchen staff were very sweet, very friendly. The room was tidy thanks to the cleaning lady, but our shower rod was broken, not so pleasant to shower.

Super Riad, with a very warm welcome from our host Momo, who has a lot of addresses and experiences to share. The Riad itself is very pretty, the beds are very large, a pleasure, everything is always very clean. Thank you very much, I recommend!
