Riad Houdou

Exceptionally friendly and helpful owners and staff without being intrusive. Really useful advice on arrival about customs, where to go, how to be safe. Marrakesh is quite a culture shock for first timers until you get used to it but the teams help was great. Wish we had had in out first trip a few years ago Although the Riad Houdou isnt a restaurant, we would recommend eating there at least once. You need to book it before 11 though. Thoroughly recommend

5 star from start to finish a real Gem in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The service provided by the entire staff was second to none. By arranging the taxi from the airport to being collected and taken to the hotel by the baggage man it made to our first impressions of Marrakech. The welcome tea on arrival and conversation with Eric settled us immediately and the tour of the Riad by Mousa showed what a magnificent building it is. Didier was very welcoming and provided some great travel tips for exploring out with the city. The helpful advice on what to do and see as well as some basic advice on how to navigate your way around Marrakech was very helpful. On our first night we chose to eat at the Riad the food was magnificent and very well presented. Please be aware there is no alcohol available at the Riad to purchase or privately consume. There is however plenty of soft drinks and fruit juices to choose from. The breakfasts were excellent and just what you needed to start the day. As we stayed in the Riad on 2 separate occasions while in Marrakech this allowed us to sample two types of room both of which we could not fault one bit. The rooms are serviced to a very high standard while you are out exploring. It was nice and comforting to return to the Riad after touring and a time to relax prior to our flight home. The rooftop had a plunge pool which was very refreshing as well as sun loungers to laze around on with a view of the surrounding rooftops. On a clear day you are able to see the Atlas Mountains.

What can I say, Riad and staff were all beautiful. A safe haven and sanctuary. We were really happy with all elements of our stay including the food and trips. Such a personal and bespoke service. We are already planning to go back. Abdel and the Riad owners Didier and Eric were ultra helpful and couldn't do enough. Breakfast was delicious and in a beautiful spot on the rooftop. The rooms are authentic and have what you need. I can't say enough to put over how we felt about our stay at Riad Houdou. We had two teenage girls with us who felt very looked after and safe.

Riad Houdou is a true oasis in the heart of Marrakech! The location is perfect - close to the action but still peaceful and serene. The staff, including Abdel, Didier and Eric, were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the riad itself is beautiful, with traditional decor and a stunning rooftop terrace with a pool. Our room was comfortable and stylish, and the breakfast was fresh and super delicious. My wife really enjoyed the hammam treatment - it was the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring the city. Overall, we had an amazing stay at Riad Houdou and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech.

All the staff at the riad were very friendly and helpful. They were very responsive to messages and helped us book a guide for our 1st day. The riad was very clean and had a lovely calm atmosphere which was a welcome oasis from the hussle and bussle of the markets! Breakfast on the roof terrace was delightful and the mint tea was the best we had on the whole trip. We all had a Royal Hammam which was brilliant. Eric and Didier have created a lovely hotel with friendly attentive staff we would highly recommend a stay here.
