Stayed here as part of an EasyJet package and wasn't sure exactly what to expect as it was our first time in Marrakech.. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and served mint tea, local pastries and water..........and some fuss from a local cat. The hotel was very clean, beautiful inside and cool in temperature given the heat outside. Our room was also clean, well presented if not a little basic. Obviously, you have to be mindful that hotel star ratings are different from the UK. During our week long stay all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The rooftop spaces are beautiful and you don't really notice any of the hustle and bustle below. The only note really is that people of a larger size or restricted mobility may struggle on the stairwells as they are pretty steep and narrow. Hold those banisters tight! In a nutshell, this riad is excellent, in a prime location and the staff........and cat's.........were friendly with impeccable service. This seemed to be the case throughout Marrakech as the people are so welcoming.

We stayed at hotel chems from the 31st of December for six consecutive days for the new year. This was my second time in Marrakech but my mum's first time. The location is second to none within a few minutes walk to the square and also many other local attractions. On arrival we were told that we needed to check in from 3:00 p.m. we'd got there early but were able to drop off our bags and then go out exploring. The hotel itself is a little outdated, however it is very clean. Staff are very good, welcoming and attentive, room sizes good and price good. Bedrooms made up everyday, towels changed, cleaned throughout. Pool towels available for free at pool. We stopped between December and January, that is a very good size pool approximately 25 m. However it is very cold but still accessible plenty of seating areas for drinks and snacks. There are plenty of sun lounges around the poolside as well as in the grass area. Breakfast is served daily which is included within the cost and there was ample choice a selection of eggs, Cereals, yogurts a little fruit, many pastries, etc. The hotel also has a snack bar and does offer evening meals. We did not take any evening meals here. We did have snacks during the day. Things like salads, pizzas, burgers, etc. The food was good. As the hotel was very close to the local area, we were able to walk although it was close to a taxi rank. If you should need this. Within 1 minute walk to Koutobia mosque, then about 5 mins to jem so fnaa square, Cyber park short walk ( nice to visit) near royal mansour Marrakech, Around 40 mins walk is the beautiful menara :) There is also complex artisan is about 10 minutes walk maximum full of things to buy As you come out of the hotel grounds, if you do a left you will find a park on the left hand side ( Koutobia). You can walk straight through this to the main road to take a shorter route to places. There is plenty of opportunities for walking and running. It is very safe to run alone. When we were there the sunrose at about 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. and the mornings were cool. During the daytime, you can expect temperatures of around 18° c in December and January plenty warm enough if you are from England. We had a walking tour that I arranged before we went through TripAdvisor. It was very good. We also booked the waterfalls trip. This was okay. I also took a hot air balloon trip which was amazing. All of these were booked online instead of at the hotel. There was no particular reason not to book at the hotel. I just didn't realise that there was somebody on site to do this before travelling. The reception is manned 24 hours, 7 days a week. On New year's Eve, we was welcomed with a show and dinner from 7:30 p.m. full entertainment and several courses for a meal and drinks. What a gem of a property in the Accor catalog of accommodation and hospitality! I am a senior, solo, single traveler, and Ibis rooms are just fine with me! The Wi-Fi could be a little bit better, but that's the problem with the vendor and the Internet service Provider, not the Ibis. Although this Ibis would be within their rights to demand better service- in 2023, with 100+ rooms. I came directly from an Ibis in Lisbon, which had fewer items for breakfast, and no Chef for evening dinner! The breakfast is a wonderful mix of Moroccan, Arabic, French foods, but also American/English. Scrambled eggs are made without dairy, and I brought my own gluten-free bread from Carrefour to be sure. While they do have a container of Honey, I bring my own, as I don't like touching containers and spoons touched by other customers... another customer absconded with my honey yesterday, and one of the wait staff had to retrieve it! Three languages are spoken here: Moroccan, Arabic, French, and plenty of English. Any word that is too specific can be translated on any of the web translation sources. Like when I needed to explain that DHL was bringing a package with my gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that Carrefour does not stock! There's been some shuffling of the wait staff in the last few days, but besides being new, quiet, and shy, they are all talented and all understand hospitality. The evening dinner is attended to by the top echelon of the hotel staff and everything is more than fine – which in my case means a very plain and simple American taste. Since I don't carry currency, the evening food bill goes on my room tab. Breakfast was part of the booking in the first place, but I don't fully understand what ”half-board” means, if that means evening dinner, so I will be inquiring about that. Being next-door to the train station means it's a three minute walk to excellent sight seeing and people watching. And McDonald's of you so care, and at least two mobile phone SIM shops. Carrefour is a 10 minute walk, and there is a shopping mall which is about a 20 minute walk which I will be visiting for recreation purposes and window shopping, to get a feel for the retail culture of this city. And people watching! I did read about the potable water situation on a Moroccan tourism page. This Ibis has plenty of bottled water, so just ask- at Reception and of course in the Restaurant.  I also read about cash versus credit card. The three places that I have spent money at have all accepted cards. It is currently Ramadan, but this Ibis respects International tourists' needs and wants. No disruption of service- and the staff seem to be very happy to be celebrating the holiday. My room had two minor maintenance issues, which were resolved quickly. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and well manicured. I have stayed with other brand name chain hotels in the US and Europe. Fully agree with other reviews that this is the worst Accor property we have ever experienced. Dirty & LONG overdue for a deep cleaning. ”IF” -- & that is the operative word here -- IF this hotel has someone with the title of General Manager, that person is doing Accor a HUGE disservice in terms of total disregard of property condition. Accor Senior Management needs to pay this property a visit & either bring it up to standards or remove their brand signage. If our room had not been totally pre-paid & unable to cancel, we would have walked out. Photo 1 - View from room of roof top overlooking the pool area. Appears to have NEVER been cleaned off. Condom wrappers, soft drink cans, chip bag packaging, more cigarette butts than one could count, combs, ball point pins & other assorted & disgusting trash covering the roof top. Photo 2+3 - Carpet & furniture was so filthy & stained that we refused to stay in this room. Photo 4 - Room for guest use for ironing remained this filthy & unkempt during our 3 day stay. Indicative of the overall lack of any housekeeping focus. Photo 5+6+7+8 - Mold throughout the shower. Apparently housekeeping has never heard of the word ”bleach”. Photo 9 - Microwave cabinet covered in dirt & chipped & banged up. Indicative of the overall property condition & this was ”supposedly” one of their ”recently remodeled” rooms? Really? Seriously? Photo 10 - Absolutely FILTHY glasses left for guest use. Inside bottoms still covered in a white milk-like substance. Photo 11 - Holder for sugar packets on restaurant table with disgusting filth & dirt covering the inside bottoms. May have never been cleaned & those on 3 other tables we checked were equally filthy. Photo 12 - Restaurant water dispenser with clearly-visible mold around the edges, which looks like it is rarely, if ever, FACTUALLY cleaned &/or sanitized. All of the personnel we encountered were pleasant & courteous, but this place seems to lack ANY ”factual &/or professional” management. Does Accor even have a division that checks the standards of properties that are part of the Accor brand affiliation? You would never know if by the condition of this Novotel.

The location is right by the sea, the scenery is very good, the downstairs is the beach. The end of the hotel can see the endless Atlantic! The room is not facing the sea (maybe there are very few, the estimated price is very high), but the balcony of every room can see the sea! The room is very large, clean and comfortable, and the internet is very good. The room has a kitchen, the tableware is also in line, you can make your own instant noodles. Moroccan things are not very appetizing, or noodles! Especially if you have been in Morocco for a few days, you are tired of eating Taji pot and other foods. At this time, a bowl of instant noodles can make you burst into tears! When it comes to buying instant noodles, you have to mention that the Wanda's commercial center (one-twentieth of Wanda's) is next to the hotel. This is one of the few super-comprehensive markets in Casablanca. This is a wealthy area. Carrefour in the mall, everything! There are also fast food such as KFC and McDonald's in the mall. This place is not far from the Hassan II Mosque, just take a taxi! You are a tourist, the driver does not give you a watch, you can price! (Reference price: Hasan II Mosque 30 Dirham, train station voyageurs train station 50 Dirham)

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a disappointing experience with the front desk staff, specifically the two girls on duty during my check-in at 9 PM. Despite my reservation, I had to wait over 30 minutes for a room, which turned out to be different from the one I booked. Despite informing them of our anniversary, the staff's response was unhelpful. The initial room's view was changed without acknowledgment, and the alternative offered was worse. Only after speaking to the manager ( it's worth noting that the manager I spoke to was exceptionally friendly and understanding) did we receive a better room, but it still wasn't the one we booked. The lack of consideration for our special occasion made it a frustrating experience overall.

NE RESERVEZ PAS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS- This hotel must be avoided at all costs!!!!! Do not trust positive ratings, they cannot be trusted and have been paid for. Evitez cet hotel a tout prix!!!! Ne croyez pas les avis postifs, achetes a moindre cout par cet hotel. Ditry bedsheets provided everyday, stained towels everyday, broken plugs in the bathrooms (!!!!), no AC, very small pool, broken shower heads, a very aggressive manager. We left before the end of our stay to a different hotel. This place is not safe! Draps sales, literie douteuse, piscine trop petite, equipements a l'abandon, un manager aggressif, prises murales exposees dans les salle de bains!!, draps dechires, Nous avons exige un remboursement de nos frais. Nous avons quittes l'hotel avant la fin de notre sejour. Nous n'etions pas en securite!

Breakfast is generally not suitable for middle-aged and elderly people in China. My parents don't like it, young people can accept it; room facilities are old, housekeeping work is not good (probably this is a common problem of people, before living in Hilton This is also the feeling), the sheets are very dirty, the guess is that the guests did not change after the previous stay; the room is quite big, bigger than the average hotel, comes with a garden view, overall it is OK, the price is quite high, for self-driving Friends are recommended, wherever they are close, old and old, after all, is five stars.

The location is great, everything is nice and neat without going into luxury (which is to be expected for the price point), the staff is also super helpful plus the included breakfast is a nice touch (during my stay it was coffee/tea/orange juice with bread/pancakes and honey/jam/butter) - together with the tours that you can book directly (I also had a great experience with the driver and the guide) makes it so you have few things to worry about during your stay. The bathroom set-up is also clean and well put together which is a huge plus. Loved the terraces as well. Absolutely recommended.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The only big downside on my side is the fact that there is a lack of soundproofing. The 3 nights we stayed, we were woken up at different times (1 a.m., 2 a.m., etc.) by other people in the hotel (tourists and team staff) who were talking shouting in the corridors and couldn't care less. had absolutely nothing to do! Same at check-out, a person from the team went to check our room. The 2 small towels that the employees should not have returned were missing. We had some rather unpleasant thoughts as if we had stolen them!
