Excellent service, facilities and location. Would highly recommend!

As expected, it was the first mountain inn operated by the first national guesthouse after the Meiji Restoration. There is a reason why it is hard to find a room.

The food service is first-rate, there are fire activities every night, and there is a bus stop at the door. It is worth going again!

A long-established hotel, the red house is particularly beautiful, the environment is elegant, and the service is considerate. The breakfast at 5,200 is a bit expensive, mainly because I don’t have time. The two kinds of beef for dinner are very delicious. It is a hotel I want to come to again next time.

It's a retro mountain hut-style restaurant, reminiscent of pre-war modernism, and the atmosphere is impeccable! But, alas, the food is terrible! The value for money is terrible!

The hospitality of the hotel staff who dealt with the guests was top-notch and highly satisfying. There were two disappointing points. The quality of the "Azusa Gozen" dinner was not good. It was hard to say that the taste was satisfactory in terms of both quality and quantity. And the other thing was that there was a blood stain on the sheets as shown in the photo. I couldn't believe it and it was disgusting. I immediately told the front desk and they replaced it and I received a polite apology, but it was disappointing.

This is a historic classic hotel built in a national park in a mountainous region. You can only experience the pure air, water, and tranquility by going there. From the cozy, well-appointed rooms and verandas you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Hotaka mountain range and the starry night sky, and at the three restaurants and bar lounge you can enjoy delicious food and service you wouldn't expect in the mountains. You can relax in a comfortable environment while in the mountains. What is particularly noteworthy is that, unlike city hotels, the staff are close (but by no means overly familiar) and offer friendly hospitality. The only regret is that it is only open seasonally from April to November. I dream that if it were open in the winter, I could warm myself up and relax by the mantelpiece in the lobby lounge.

I think it's wonderful to be able to receive the services of a first-class hotel in a location like Kamikochi. The staff are friendly and attentive to you. You can relax. That's why I've been coming here for nine years since 2015.

I stayed in a room with a balcony. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, so I couldn't use the balcony much, so I had a memorable French dinner. The food was light and delicious. The service was just right, and the explanations given by the waiter were not one-sided, but rather a back-and-forth conversation. I was impressed that conversation is also a form of hospitality.
