Meedhupparu Hotels with Free Breakfast

As many couples do, we decided to spend our honeymoon on the Maldives, where we spent two weeks at Adaaran Resort Meedhupparu. We couldn’t have imagined a better honeymoon! We stayed in the Sunset Villa on the western side of the island and we had a beautiful view of the sunset every day (if the weather allowed it). The villa was a really cozy place to stay with a very comfortable bed, a nice outdoor shower and a patio facing the beach. Our room service was provided by Laame and he always made sure that our room was perfectly clean (which is not easy considering all the sand surrounding the villa), provided us with fresh towels (beach and otherwise) twice a day, and even brought us fresh coconuts once in a while. Each villa has its own two sunbeds with an umbrella for providing shade, but even better is using one of the many palm trees as shade. This was the perfect place for relaxing, reading, and if the mood strikes you you can always go snorkeling in the shallow bay. It was a perfect mix of a relaxing vacation and an adventurous one, since there are so many opportunities to go snorkeling and we even went scuba diving. The instructors at the diving center were very patient with us and even though we had never been diving before and were a bit nervous, they helped us have a really amazing and memorable experience! Watching the big and beautiful manta rays graciously floating above and around us will be ingrained in our memory forever. But also the reef directly around the island was amazing to discover while snorkeling. The variety and beauty of the maritime life is absolutely breathtaking. There is an amazing range of choice for food and drinks, and the food was always really high quality! (Which is not a given when there’s all you can eat buffets) We mostly went to the Sufura Indian restaurant. Not only because of the delicious Indian food but also because of the exceptionally nice staff there - we made quick friends with our hostess Apoorva, who always made us feel welcome and at home, and chef Anatpal Singh was always waiting for us at the buffet with a big smile. His omelets were one of the things we were always looking forward to while walking to breakfast in the morning and we will for sure be missing his delicious naan bread served at lunch and dinner.
