Overall, very satisfied with the stay. The room I got was pretty spacious. There was CCTV on the room floor and hotel guests can only access the level that they stay. The hotel is also within walking distance/free tram ride from many tourist sights. Would have been better if they have a drinking water refill station.

Fantastic location in the middle of the city, so easy to get everywhere we wanted and we felt well looked after. Room was a good size and comfortable. Staff didn’t however change cups in the room and forgot to top up shampoo, shower gel too frequently and needed reminding. We would stay again though!

The room is quite nice and the location is good.
It’s self checkin so I had to wait downstairs for a while as there was no staff and I wasn’t aware of this.
There was a really a noisy alarm in the building across the street from my room and I asked to change room around midnight. The staff aren’t very accommodating and I couldn’t change room. Luckily the noise stopped after a while.
The hotel is okay but I had actually just come from the Brady Hotel at Central Melbourne where the price and location is similar but with much better customer service. I’d suggest skipping the Ibis.

Great hotel for a stay within the city.
Everything you need is within walking distance.
There are nice restaurants around the corner.
Room is spacious and clean.

GUYS PAY ATTENTION!!! I finally learned a good lesson from this very expensive fake 4 Stars hotel.I tried to give all my best respect to this place before,but it really hurted my kindness in the end.They will charge you $10 for a pair of slipper. $9 for a bottle of water plus a $5 service fee. $38 for a very common breakfast buffet. Also, if you leave your bags in the Lobby, $5 per bag will be charged for each day again. They do not even provide a plastic bag for the trash bin.And especially the staff in the front desk are really showing some **** services. You will be fully understand when you go there.Good luck

It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient.
