My stay at Quality Apartments Melbourne Central (Jan 24) was marked by a severe safety and security breach. When I went out for dinner, my room was unlawfully accessed, and my backpack with my laptop and passport was stolen. Both programmed keycards were with me, yet I couldn't access my room upon return. I had to find alternate accommodation after hours, without any help from the hotel. The next morning, management accompanied me to the room with their master keycard, and it was then I discovered the theft of my belongings. Despite this, Quality Apartments Melbourne Central, managed by 1834 hotels, have taken no responsibility for this security and negligence after 5 months. The experience was extremely stressful, draining, and disappointing. There is absolutely no quality in their response to such incidents. Fortunately, I was not in the apartment during the break-in. The thought of what could have happened if I had been, or if a vulnerable guest had been in my place, is terrifying. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!
