We felt very welcome in Rafael and Anna's castle. Room small but clean and had everything we needed. Only the shower cubicle was very cramped, but we just fit in it across. Fresh towels and room cleaning daily. Enjoyed Anna's cooking twice. Menu simple but tasteful

Raining in Surrey for my birthday, couldn't have that! I booked a cheap Easy jet flight and booked Grupotel Mar de Menorca as it was near the airport (15 mins by cab). I didn't expect much given the cost for all inclusive but I was very pleasantly surprised. I arrived to a warm welcome and found my way to my spacious room. The buildings were all white with palm tree lined paths. The pool were surround by many sunbeds. Drinks and snacks served all day and breakfast, lunch and dinner downstairs with plenty of choice. Nearby a breathtaking cove for a swim in the sea. I wish i could have stayed longer!

What a lovely hotel! We booked only 2 weeks before our holiday and emailed the hotel to request a room with a pool view and happily we were in a really nice location. I did feel the restaurant was more like a cafeteria and very brightly lit. On our first evening we were left to find a table when it was really busy. It's always nice to be greeted by someone when you arrive. There was plenty of choice for hot and cold meals. We walked to the marina each evening and as others have said it is a 15/20 minute walk from the hotel. Depends how fast you walk!! The cleaning staff are brilliant and cleaned our room every day. The pools and grounds are well looked after also. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

A little gem of a hotel. Perfect location for the marina and beach. Although we didn’t have a sea view the room was still clean, spacious, comfy beds (maybe not the pullout but much better than in some family rooms we have visited recently). Breakfast was plentiful and evening meals were fine, not lots of choice but enough and is replenished regularly - first all inclusive I have been to and didn’t find anything undercooked so care seems to be taken. In other reviews people have commented on flies on the food. Yes it is a little gross but not really sure what the hotel can do, they have lots of fly lights and fans around to kill them but they are relentless. Sitting outside to eat helps but they are very irritating. Sunbeds were not tricky to get, after breakfast there were plenty to choose from. Lovely pool, very clean and inviting and never too busy. Drinks are priced reasonably - it would be nice if water was supplied with evening meals, as it is at breakfast or even if you are allowed to bring your own water into the restaurant would be good. All staff are very hardworking, constantly cleaning and renovating around the grounds, always happy to help. Supermarket over the road brilliant for stocking up on food for the fridge, all apartments have full cooking facilities - we didn’t use but could see some families cooking in the evenings. Without doubt we will return - it’s the best round hotel we have stayed in for a long time, try and book sea view if you can afford. We only booked 2 days before we flew so rooms were limited but the view must be wonderful!

The location is very pretty, on cobbled streets and narrow passages but very close to the main street. The staff was very kind and helpful and patient with us, even though we couldn't speak the language right. the rooms are spacious and excellently tidy and aesthetically pleasing. they have a common area with an open roof where you can stargaze on summer nights.

We upgraded and stayed in a hotel near La Isla. The rooms are very beautiful, the bathrooms are large, and the location is ideal, very close to the historic city center and the port. You can do everything on foot, and there is free parking nearby. The breakfast is very simple, because we don’t have a buffet because of COVID, and suddenly it’s not so generous, we still enjoy homemade orange juice and quality coffee, but we will eat a little more

The location of the hotel is very good, with a very nice view and with many restaurants next to the port. It is a bit difficult to get there, yes, and it is likely that in high season it will be very difficult to park. Remarkable breakfast. The courtesy shower on the last day in the afternoon is a great detail to make the most of the day of departure. The service very attentive.

Overall, a good value place to stay. As other reviews have said, the decor is a little dated, but perfectly acceptable, and the apartment was as clean as one would hope. End of June was unexpectedly quiet, but in a good way. Bus to Mahon runs hourly from the bottom of the road (5 mins walk) and is Euro 1.80 each way. Plenty of space to park if you hire a car. Some great restaurants in the town (recommend Casa Fermin) and a great beach. Only minor issue was the air-con wasn't great, but hey ... it's 32 degrees in June in the Med ... so we knew what to expect. Breeze through the apartment cooled it in the day, just a bit warm overnight. Would definitely go back.

GGuest UserWhat a find! Expectations were high and the hotel and its marvellous team did not disappoint. Location (a ten minute taxi ride from the airport and only a few minutes walk to the harbour), its styling, its service with a smile (especially Bella's at breakfast), Luisa, Anna - everyone so happy to see you, making sure everything was ok. Room with sunbed terrace on the top floor so beautifully designed, our twin beds and bedding just divine, sumptuous pillows (a pillow menu!), air con silent and effective, L'Occitane toiletries, room cleaned with care every day. The most perfect of continental breakfasts; smoked salmon, avo, mushrooms, fresh fruit, croissants etc...perfectly ripe and freshly baked. No rickety table or sticky menu, here. Bean-to-cup coffee machine and assorted tea bags free all day, snacks too at lunchtime. Small garden and pool downstairs was a lovely alternative for reading, whilst cooling in the pool, or playing cards in the shade. Library/reading room with its quality books and art, providing a serene and relaxing venue to escape the sun at its hottest. My friend and i have travelled a lot and we notice everything! This hotel was just fantastic in every way - this is how it should be done. We will definitely be back.

GGuest UserFrom Mahon Airport, bus L10 is a quick ride to bus station. Short walk to this modern 4* eco-aware hotel. Friendly welcome, comfortable quiet room with free coffee/tea, water refill, Wi-Fi etc. Very good buffet breakfast; and there's a lounge with complimentary beer & wine plus free snacks from 3pm. Pleasant stroll to main sites in the old town and you can even walk to one of the ancient Talayotic sites, Trepuco, which is free to visit. With the bus station so near the hotel, it's easy to take a day trip to former capital Ciutadella or nearby ex-garrison town Es Castell. Plenty of eateries in Mahon, and there's even a gin distillery with wide variety to sample.

La réception de cet “ hôtel “ ouvre à 16 h.Nous avons donc attendu qu ‘une dame nous “ accueille “.Cette dame arrive donc et se soucie prioritairement d ‘ enregistrer et d ‘ encaisser alors que nous avions la voiture en double file! On nous donne des codes pour nos chambres dont l’ ouverture ne se fait que par téléphone. Nous étions chargés et avons été étonnés qu il n ‘y ait pas d ‘ ascenseur ou bagagiste pour monter nos valises au dernier étage . Et cette dame sur un ton ironique au prétexte d ‘ un humour anglais nous a répondu qu il ne fallait pas en faire un drame et qu ‘ elle les porterait!Heureusement que nous avons des maris galants qui lui ont évité de monter 4 valises de 20 kgs ! Évidemment le lendemain matin pour notre départ à 6 h 30 , il n y avait personne ! Si vous êtes âgés ou à mobilité réduite , abstenez vous !Et n ‘ oubliez pas votre téléphone ! La petite piscine est encaissée dans la cour de l hôtel. Vous trouverez du café soluble dans ces chambres à près de 300 euros la nuit mais des produits « Rituals »! Des chambres cependant tout à fait correctes ! Bref cet hôtel ne mérite pas cette appellation au regard du peu d ‘ égards pour ses hôtes et du sens galvaudé que l ‘ ironique « réceptionniste « donne au mot accueil.

Was there 3 nights in May. Had compact but well -designed single room. Great location, new & bright, excellent staff, and wonderful breakfast at 8.5 euros. Google Maps route (Esplanda that becomes Ses Moreres - RT Bastió that becomes Deià that becomes s'Arravaleta - RT Placa del Princep) is a relatively easy walk from the bus terminal with hourly civic buses from the airport. (Excellent airport facilities at Mahón. The public island bus service - pay by cash - is great for all of Menorca!) Unfortunately, no coffee maker in Jume rooms. You can pay a euro for a teabag or instant coffee in the lobby (free cookie!) or take your own tea/coffee, use the lobby kettle & return to your room by the elevator. I used the hotel website to book. I definitely recommend Jume-Urban Rooms.

GGuest UserMy husband, myself and my sister stayed at the Seranova for the first time and we were really pleased with our choice. The room was very clean and had a little balcony which although there wasn’t room to sit out I loved watching the people walking by and going into the nearby shops. The bathroom was huge with a bath and a shower for two people to shower together! Breakfast was delicious and different each day. You could ask for a breakfast of eggs and bacon which was made by the staff . The receptionists were all lovely and very helpful. We will definitely be back to this super hotel next year.

GGuest UserJust had a wonderful weeks holiday via Jet2 at the lovely traditional Port Mahon Hotel which I first visited over 50 years ago. Prior to arriving I was offered an upgrade to a suite with balcony and sea view at modest cost which I gladly accepted. I enjoyed amazing views over the estuary, watching the big ships and colourful sunrises. Only negative was why the shower controller was 2 metres away from the shower head? Makes temperature control difficult & wastes water. The breakfast buffet was over 15M long offering everything you could wish for from fresh fruit, continental breakfast to full English. Service was swift. I did a lot of walking around Mahon and used the buses to visit Cuitadella, Fornells & Es Casteel, also the town train around Mahon and the glass bottomed boat for the harbour cruise. The Hotel is a great base for touring. I am planning to return again to Port Mahon Hotel next March when Jet2 start flying from Liverpool (more convenient). In summary, the Port Mahon Hotel exceeded my expectations and any thanks to Silvia on reception for helping with my arrangements. *** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED***

GGuest UserDifficult to grade this hotel as it’s not the kind we’d normally choose, but as this was chosen for us by our tour company for an overnight stay during our Cami de Cavalls island tour, we checked in with the lovely and very friendly staff and were then .. well.. let’s be kind and say our room was … bijou Again, it was all very clean with plenty of white towels that were fine, but imagine will need replacing soon enough.. But seriously.. I say bijou.. and there’s small and there’s small, there was barely enough room to get round the bed.. the air con is a three speed ceiling fan, so luckily for us it was a cool May so really wasn’t needed, but imagine things are very different in August. The bathroom was adequate, but oh boy, we learned quickly not to leave the fan in as it only made the drains smell twice as bad to the point of nearly reporting to reception, and if staying longer likely would have done.. Breakfast was adequate.. but honestly, there was a tray of cold meats and cheese we didn’t go near as we couldn’t decide to knock off the shelf accidentally so a new lot would have to brought out, or just sing Happy Birthday to it.. there was a plate of scrambled egg that, we avoided, so went for the safe option of toast and jam with machine coffee and juice from a shop bought jar with the screw on lid.. and risked a couple of pastries Like I said at the start, for the price, you have a clean and comfortable bed, and even have the option of breakfast in the morning.. it’s just somewhere we personally wouldn’t choose to return to.. we’re sure it will continue to be full through the year.. what I couldn’t get is how there are 30+ higher graded hotels than this in town??

GGuest UserWe have just returned from two glorious weeks at this lovely hotel. We had a beautiful room overlooking the start of the estuary and the Isle de Rei. The morning sunrise was just fabulous! I had read before my visit that although the walk-in showers had been completed, the rooms themselves needed a refurbish. Well the bathroom is lovely. You have shampoo, bath wash and gorgeous body milk. Beautiful shower area. Such a delight! Yes, the rooms are looking well worn, but my only criticism would be lack of drawer space. If you are staying for two weeks it can be tricky to keep your clothes ‘tidy’ all piled up in the wardrobe. The hotel is blessed with the most wonderful happy staff! Thank you to all we met who enhanced our stay with their positive attitude. Special mention has to go though to Harold at the bar. A true professional! His cocktails never disappointed ! The food in the dining room was really good when we arrived. Lots of choice and of a very good quality. Towards the end of our stay, when numbers dwindled, there was still a great display of Menorcan foods, meats and cheeses. The soup was divine, and the different breads just lovely. Salads were plentiful and varied, and the puddings were scrumptious! There was still always something tasty and different to choose every evening. The chefs were continually checking the food and replacing it when necessary. Cleo and Alexander were great hosts. There was low key entertainment twice a week. Good singers, and we particularly loved the jazz trio on the last evening. They put their own take on many popular songs and did it very well. Es Castell is full of history, and we enjoyed visiting Mahon. You can either walk for about 15 to 20 mins, or catch a bus into the station. From here you can use the buses to visit other places very easily. Or walk down into the town and take in all the sights! There is a fish market and attached to it an area which does tapas and all different kinds fishy snacks. On our last Saturday there was music and it made for a lovely atmosphere. Would we return to the Agamemon? Certainly we will! The views are a delight, always something different going on.

Please don't listen to any of the negative comments. I am currently holidaying here and was incredibly worried after reading reviews post booking. This resort is lovely and in a beautiful location with it's own access to a wonderful beach a stones throw away which you can see is a hotspot for people to travel to as it is gorgeous. Easy access to a beautiful spot to watch the sunset too. The apartment is clean and comfortable, it's smaller and more basic than we are used to for self catering but we plan to eat at various restaurants throughout our stay and have picnic lunches, it is in a peaceful location, other holiday makers and staff are friendly who are happy to help, there are plenty of large pools to use on the complex which are clean and quiet. We go to Menorca every year trying out new places to stay, and this so far has been our favourite location, plenty to explore nearby and not surrounded by Brits- I'd stay in the UK if I wanted that! The on site supermarket has little to choose from but there is a slightly bigger one in walking distance, free parking for guests so it's great if you hire a car to travel the island, equally very easy to get a taxi which are always reasonably priced.
