El Palacito Secreto Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa

A wonderful experience. We have stayed many times in Merida and this was by far the best hotel!! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Merida. The location is excellent in downtown Merida, and the receptionists were so helpful in recommending restaurants and place to visit. We will be back!

The hotel was so close to great restaurants and all the areas you should go see. All the downtown attractions were a 10-15 min pleasurable walk. The snacks and water and coffee/ tea always available was amazing too! Definitely one of the nicest places I’ve stayed…. The room was so romantic!

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Delicious breakfast. Location was a little out of the way. More than a half mile to the major squares, restaurants and shopping. Pretty much nothing in the immediate area. That said Ubers are very inexpensive if you don’t want to walk.

Gorgeous small hotel about 1 mile from Centro. Nothing nearby, a long walk to restaurants, shops , etc. excellent staff, great breakfast included, pool too cold to swim in, showers terrible (low water pressure and shower head way too high. I’m 5’4, was about 2 ft above my head so I never could get hair rinsed).

Behind the unassuming exterior, El Palacito Secreto is an absolute gem. As soon as you walk into the lobby and look through to the main part of the hotel, dominated by the lush swimming pool, you are met by a wealth of tasteful furniture and decorations. Our room, called Alicia, was beautiful and complete with everything we needed. The staff are all super-friendly and helpful, including Laura and Luis, but, in particular Andrea is charming, helpful, knowledgeable and lovely. Thank you to the whole team at El Palacito Secreto. This hotel is amazing. More like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The staff are super friendly and speak excellent English- Andrea and Alejandra were the best English speakers we encountered in our two weeks in Mexico. You feel like you have your own private concierge, chef and bartender. The breakfast they serve was delicious and the grounds were so peaceful with bird sounds and the beautiful decor and tile work. We had a room upstairs and there was such a nice breeze I napped with the AC off and the door/window open. They have a constant supply of delicious treats and coffee. The beds are comfortable, and even though there were other couples there we barely saw them. I wish we hadn’t had such a short time with so many excursions because I would’ve liked to spend more time Lounging at the beautiful pool. There’s free and easy to find parking on the street. The name “secret palace” makes sense because from the outside it just seems like any other house until you walk through the door, then it’s truly a palace.
