Very quiet and excellent service

The hotel is very spacious, the rooms are spacious and clean, the facilities are relatively new, the service staff are friendly, and the biggest surprise is that the food in the restaurant is very delicious and very satisfying.

We went to Metz for 2 days and decided for the Mgallery Hotel. It was very well located next to a park in a historic environment. Definitely a very nice place. City center with a many restaurants, cafes and bars was just a 10 minute walk. Also the cathedral was just 15 minutes away. Staff was very friendly and rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was very good with good choices.

You have to press the button to lower the bollard to gain entry to the hotel parking. The old citadel has been very elegantly refurbished and has an attractive interior. Kimberley gave us a friendly welcome and our room was fine, although we were disappointed that to have a room with a walk in shower would cost an additional 30 Euro. We booked for dinner and were glad that we had because the restaurant was pretty full, on Sunday evening. The dinner menu 'suggests' that you have a different 125ml glass of wine with each course, at 9 Euro+ per glass but we went for a modest bottle; prices seemed to start in the mid/high 30 Euros and went up sharply. For us the menu was rather limited so we both had gravlax followed by chicken supreme. We cancelled our deserts because the portions were generous and our meal cost 130 Euro. With 18 Euro parking and 25 Euro each for breakfast what looks like a reasonable room price soon escalates. Not one for us.

I really liked this property The only reason I have not given it five stars is because it is simple, though not in a bad way. It is very good value for money and I would happily return. The room was good, the service was fine and the hotel is a short walk from the railway station and the shops in the city centre.

Great location, easy to find, plenty of parking. Very friendly greeting on arrival, excellent rooms. The bar is a little strange and lacking in atmosphere and on the Tuesday night we were there the restaurant was struggling. However, the friendly staff were obviously doing their best for the guests.

It is located in a quiet area, within 5 min walking to Opera Garnier and 20min to Louvre. It has parking spaces in a subterrain parking nearby. Attractive Art Nouveau interior design. Clean, very good bed and bathroom. Good breakfast and professional, prompt service.

We stopped by Metz on our way from CDG to Colmar and are very happy with our choice of hotel. Our room was very large and well equipped. We had a delicious lunch and the breakfast was great. The staff was very accommodating and gave us travel weary travelers access a little earlier than check-in. Parking just out front.

So good we went twice! Once on our drive down to the Alps and again on our way back to the UK. Spotless. Huge Rooms. Fascinating conversion of a barracks. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Charming staff. Easy parking. Interesting town as well. And a general living next door who we did not meet but we admired his Disney castle on the other side of the square. Highly recommend.

We were very taken by this hotel. Distinctive inside and out with helpful staff. Our room was well appointed and quiet with a nice green view out of the expansive windows. And an easy walk to the centre of the lovely old town of Metz. Recommended.
