2-Star Hotels in Miami

I made the reservation and paid the total, unfortunately I couldn't arrive because my COVID test was positive and I couldn't in any way negotiate a penalty or a voucher for another occasion since they told us that COVID today was no longer something to cancel, trip just wanted to return $20 off, how unfortunate

Our excellent experience at the Tru began before we even arrived. Julissa and Dia both assisted in making sure that our accommodations for the week were just what we needed. Upon arrival everyone was courteous and eager to let us know that they were there to help in any way. Our room had a wonderful view of the pool, Biscayne Bay in the distance, and downtown Miami. Speaking of the room, it was the perfect size for us, with a comfortable king bed, large tv, and clean throughout (and kept well clean during our 1-week stay by housekeeping team). We very much appreciated the complimentary hot breakfast, and what made the breakfast especially tasty and fresh were the number of hotel team members making sure that all food options were available (e.g. eggs, bagels, english muffins, fruit, and coffee ALL restocked as needed throughout the breakfast service.) The pool was my favorite place to relax during the day. Ample towels and umbrellas were available, pool deck was kept clean, and the pool water was clean, cool, and refreshing. In summary between the lovely room accommodations, outstanding complimentary breakfast, great loaction (just a short walk from Brickell center), relaxing pool area, and most of all, the highly professional and courteous hotel team - from leadership across all levels - the Tru is an exceptional value for short or long stays in Miami.

I chose check-in for 1pm. When getting there told was told give them 30 mins to clean rooms. Waited a good 45 mins and still told need more time. I drove 4.5 hours to get there and still waited. Watching others coming in and going to a room aggravated me. About 1.5 hours later, was told can go to room.

The hotel is a small courtyard with free parking. The front desk clerk is very serious and records everything he needs, including the brand and model number of the registered car. I live in a small courtyard on the first floor, which is relatively quiet. There are many tables and chairs outside. The price is also cheap, and it is relatively close to the urban area. Generally speaking, it is very good

The hotel is very trendy and uncomfortable

This price is very affordable, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the subway by train. The only bad thing is that I stayed for three nights. No one came to clean the room for you. When the garbage was full, I changed my garbage bag.

The room is good, clean, has a parking lot, 18 knives a day. There is coffee in the lobby, hot water, and hot water is convenient. The bath water is very good, I don’t know why the washing water is very small, I am tired by plane, I am too lazy to change the room.

Reception staff were friendly and professional. Answered questions when asked. Cleaning staff didn't bother you unless you requested..Pretty much quiet. Places to buy food close by but no shopping stores unless you go to the double tree hotel nearby..all in all it wasn't too bad.

I made a reservation online using my credit card. It was a Chime Visa Credit Card, the reservation was confirmed. The card was charged, no problem. We showed up after midnight on a Sunday morning after a long flight. I handed Ricardo - the clerk - my driver’s license and credit card. He told me they don’t accept Chime - no prepaid, no Cashapp, no gift cards. It needs to be a real bank. He said do I have another card? I said no. I reiterated to him it’d already been charged, it’s not any of the categories he mentioned. It’s a seriously legitimate card which had already been charged. Almost as if reading off a script, he kept repeating “No prepaid, no Cashapp, no gift cards. Must be a real bank.” I asked, what can I do? He suggested I get a cash advance from a nearby ATM and there’s be a $100 cash deposit repaid when I check out. So I took an advance at an ATM. I came back with the cash and gave Ricardo the cash and ID. He said, “OK, and the bank card?” I said, “We just had this conversation, and you said to get cash instead!” He just kept repeating the script, “ no prepaid, no Cashapp, no gift cards.” He did reverse the charge that was already on the card…or so I thought. By the way, there is absolutely nothing in the fine print that indicates Chime is not acceptable. Ricardo also lectured me about how it is ridiculous that I don’t have a real bank card - “Everybody else does, what’s wrong with you?” This happened after 1:AM where I had literally called at least 5 other hotels by now with zero availability. And Ricardo had rooms available. People were calling asking for rooms and he’d say yes, and each time the script: “no prepaid, no Cashapp, no gift cards.”. This time he added “No Chime - must be a real bank like Bank of America, Wells Fargo, no fake banks.” I finally found a place nearby. I spoke to my bank to get the charge dropped off, since they claimed they issued a refund. The bank called them to confirm it. The clerk this time, Lydia, kept hanging up on us when we tried to get confirmation of the refund. We kept asking for the refund approval code, she wouldn’t give it over the phone. She finally said she could email it to me. I got the receipt with only internal information - absolutely no actual code from Visa. Numerous requests for the actually code have thus far gone ignored. This hotel appears to be very suspect. The staff is quite rude. I highly recommend not attempting to stay here.

The 2-star motel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is situated 5.6 km from Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Art. All rooms in the motel are fitted with a flat-screen TV with cable channels. At Zenmotel inn the rooms have bed linen and towels. Bayfront Park Station is 7.3 km from the accommodation, while Port of Miami is 8.1 km from the property. The nearest airport is Miami International Airport, 11 km from Zenmotel inn.
