I arrived late at 5pm and was disappointed that the dinner time was scheduled to be late at 7:30. However, the buffet food was delicious. It is better to use disposable indoor slippers.

We had a wonderful stay at Minakami Kogen and our children keep asking when we can go back! We stayed 4 nights midweek in ski season with a 5 and 8yo. Hotel staff helpful and responsive to emails. Booking the shuttle from Jomo Kogen station was fast and easy. Staff were lovely and helpful in person too, most spoke English and they had translate as well. Connecting corner room was spacious by Japanese standards (we locked the corridor door which gave us a large suitcase space and room to get snow gear on and off). Food (buffet restaurant) was excellent. Lots of variety and each food had clearly marked allergens which made selection easy (we are pescetarian and don't eat meat and there were lots of delicious options). We didn't have problems with availability of early dinner times except on our first day. Both indoor and outdoor onsen were great. We didn't find the walk across the carpark to the outdoor onsen a problem and it was usually very quiet, sometimes we had the bath to ourselves. My children find some onsen too hot, but the outdoor one was perfect because it had two sections, one hotter and one cooler. Snow activities were excellent. We could generally choose an activity, walk up to the desk and book to do it right away. One of the days we bought a lift pass and used the long 500m sled run which was excellent and it was fun to be able to ride the chairlift even though we didn't ski or board. The kids parks were great too, the tubing and sledding was good fun and never crowded. We did the Takaragawa onsen excursion through the hotel and enjoyed it. (Mixed gender, clothed bath along a scenic river). Overall, this hotel far exceeded our expectations and we really enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for a tour of Ozegahara, and it was very convenient and friendly. We thought the trekking to Ozegahara might be canceled because of the rain, but it was light rain in the morning, so we decided to go ahead with it. We traveled from the hotel by minibus, and by the end of the tour, we were completely exhausted, and even our trekking shoes and the inside of our backpacks under our raincoats were soaked, but it was very helpful that we could use the hotel's hot springs on the way back. The buffet-style meals were also varied, and dinner included sushi, steak, tempura, sashimi, curry, and Chinese food, so much that we couldn't finish it all. Breakfast was also satisfying for both me, who prefers bread and Western food, and my wife, who prefers Japanese food.

My family and I used it every winter. The room is not clean, but having a nursery was the main reason. The kids enjoyed the buffet, and being directly connected to the ski resort was very convenient. I thought it would continue to be an annual event, but I was told that the childcare center is only available for children up to the age of 4, so now that they are 5 years old, they can no longer use it. Preschool children who cannot ski are not eligible for accommodation. Say goodbye to hotels that can only respond mechanically.

Used on a tour to Oze. The twin room is a slightly larger and more stylish version of the Toyoko Inn room. Functional and easy to use. When I looked at the exterior of the building and the rooms, I thought it was a new hotel, but when I looked at the stairs and bathroom, I realized it was an older hotel. The open-air bath is wonderful because you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of fresh greenery this season, but having it in a separate building is a hassle. The weather was nice, so the view from the room was spectacular. There is nothing particularly unusual about the morning and evening buffet. The sashimi was half frozen. The hospitality of the staff is good, but since I'm using it for a tour, I only experience eating and sleeping, so I feel like I ended my stay without really understanding its capabilities as a resort hotel. You can draw spring water next to the open-air bath.

Response from Property: Thank you very much for staying at Minakami Kogen Hotel 200 during your Oze tour. We would also like to thank you for your valuable feedback. During your stay, you stayed in a resort twin room, and we are glad to hear that you found it functional and easy to use. We are also very honored to receive your compliments regarding the view from your room and the hospitality of our staff. On the other hand, we are very sorry to hear that the sashimi served at the dinner buffet was half frozen. From now on, we will work to satisfy our customers by not only focusing on the quality of each dish, but also ensuring the timing of the delicious meal. During your stay this time, you were using the hotel to participate in a tour, so we believe that you did not really feel the appeal of our hotel. Our hotel's site area is 2 million tsubo, making use of the vast natural environment, and there are plenty of things to enjoy during your stay, such as a golf course, tennis court, outdoor activities, and walking paths. If you have the opportunity, please visit our hotel. I would appreciate it if you could nominate me. Thank you very much for taking the time to post your review.
