On April 11, 2022, I had lunch in Kowloon. From there, drive to Sherpa in Kumamoto City to finish your shopping, then drive along Prefectural Route 36. Climb the outer rim of Mt. Aso. Arrive at the observatory (Mt. Omine and Takayubaru plateau). You can overlook the city of Kumamoto from here. This observatory is called ``Mt. Arrive at Hotel Greenpia Minami Aso where you will stay on this day. The parking lot is very large. Hotel Greenpia Minamiaso is a hotel located in Hisaishi, Minamiaso Village, Aso County, Kumamoto Prefecture. A bronze statue stood at the entrance. The inside of the building looks like this. The lobby is large. On this day, I was in a room on the 3rd floor and moved by elevator. After getting off the elevator, it's too far to the room (sweat;) Large hotels don't like this. far. It's a promised ”grandmother who can't open the key” twin room, and an extra bed is also installed. The scenery from the window is like this. Of all the rooms we stayed in, it has one of the best views (bitter smile) refrigerator. TV and kettle. Safe in the closet. Wash basin. The toilet has a warm water seat. I probably won't use it because I'm going to the public bath, but there is also a bathtub. It is troublesome that wifi has to register an e-mail address with ”Kumamoto free wifi”. I was able to connect at 35 Mbps here within the Rakuten Mobile range. The best bath is the open-air bath where you can enjoy this view. The quality of the spring was colorless and transparent, and it did not look like a hot spring. Dinner is at the restaurant. There was a lot more than I thought in the Viking format. However, since it was the cheapest course, it became a ”buffet without a main dish” (sweat;) Tsure was mainly curry rice. The dessert made me hungry (laughs). The next morning, there was already a line at the breakfast venue. Breakfast is also buffet style. My grandmother is even more voluminous than I am (laughs), and the second time is Western food (laughs). Overnight at Hotel Greenpia Minami Aso. I could see the volcanic smoke of Mt. Nakadake from my room. It's 6:00, so I head to the dinner hall. On this day, I tried curry rice as the main dish. Grandmother made soba the main dish. The next morning we checked out and drove on. The front desk is an old-fashioned inn style. The slippers that enter the eye as soon as they enter the room are dirt and heel cut off, and even if the paper of ”disinfected” is riding, it is hesitant to wear today. The hand towel for hot springs is not dedicated to oneself who entered the vinyl, but washed and used. The room and the shared space are not deteriorated, but I felt that I was working hard in the double punch of the earthquake and corona. The bath is divided into ”dondoyu” which can take a day trip bath and a hot spring dedicated to guests. ”Dondoyu” is located at the hotel front desk, looking at the vast garden, and walking 2,3 minutes through the crossing corridor where there is a rabbit hut on the way. There was an open-air bath that had been boldly made in the garden, and there was an open-air bath that had been pulled out of hot water due to corona, but the large open-air bath was put in a source. In the morning, ”dondoyu” was closed, so I went to the guest only, but I was able to enjoy it at a hot spring with a wide 々 with an open-air bath. As for the meal, breakfast was normal, but dinner was great. Especially the red beef pottery plate was amazing, and such a delicious steak was not eaten easily. The overall evaluation is 3.5 points. If you close your eyes to oldness, it is a hotel that can be satisfied enough.

When we close our eyes and imagine the quintessential Japanese luxury ryokan, Takachiho Ryokan Shinsen is among the first properties that springs to our mind. It represents everything awesome about the best ryokans with almost zero drawbacks, and we departed from Shinsen awestruck at how perfect every aspect of our stay was. From the incredible Omotenashi service, gorgeous gardens, architectural elegance, spacious and beautiful villa room, mind-blowing kaiseki cuisine to the terrific private open-air Onsen bath, everything about Shinsen emphatically screams ”destination ryokan.” Shinsen is a family-owned property with a total of just 15 rooms among 3 separate areas: the Honkan (main), Bekkan and Hanare. They are within 1-minute walking distance form one another, and each area has its own unique character - the landscaping is fascinating, as well as the various private dining rooms that are in each building. For instance, in front of the Honkan main entrance is a dry rock garden that is reminiscent of the famed Ryoan-ji in Kyoto, while in the Bekkan it has that plus a variety of perfectly manicured vegetation as well as a small, red-painted traditional-style bridge. The private dining rooms each have its own character as well as views out of the window; we especially loved the view from one of the Bekkan ”Ko****su” rooms during our dinner on the second evening - the window faces the garden, which is lit up from the ground, resulting in a mesmerizing view of the rock garden patterns, mysterious trees and the pretty red bridge. For every meal (whether it's for breakfast or dinner), they escorted us from our room to a different private dining room located in various locations throughout the property. We spent all 3 nights in a room called ”Manyo,” a detached villa that was located in the Hanare section of Shinsen. Ms. Kumi Sato, the charming and elegant ”Okami-san” (Proprietress) mentioned that Manyo is the best room at the property. It's a generous 100m² in size, and thoroughly modern with all of the creature comforts that one would expect at a top-flight luxury hotel. Manyo's room consisted of a bedroom with two double Western-style beds, a living room with a sofa, coffee table and a large, flat-screen television, and a Japanese-style tatami room as well. It's an open floor plan, although each section of the room can be closed off by sliding the walls shut for privacy (or peace and quiet.) Very versatile! The Villa had a large patio with a beautiful zen-style rock garden beyond it. Off to the side is an outdoor, free-flowing Onsen (hot springs) bath made of Hinoki wood. Next to the Onsen (and inside the Villa) is the vanity, toilet and indoor (regular) bath and shower. The layout of the Villa, as well as the furnishings and decor was all top-notch - the perfect setting to have a lengthy, relaxing stay in the Villa should you opt not to explore the Takachiho area. If there is one minor nitpick, it has to do with the lack of dual sinks,

It was a very disappointing stay. After checking in, when I was about to head to my room, a female staff member ran up to me and guided me, saying, ”This is it.” Please get on the elevator,” and ran away. I get on the elevator on that street, but I can't find a room even if I look for it. When I went back to the first floor, I found the same female staff member again. And when it's time for dinner, I try to leave the room, but the door won't lock. Even though the door should be auto-locked, it opens when you push the door. Maybe it's badly built, the key doesn't go in and it doesn't lock. When I called the front desk, a female staff member came immediately, but she said, ”Please wait a moment,” and left without a word for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes had passed, a male staff member finally arrived, but he said, ”We can't move rooms because they are fully booked. We will call a contractor to fix it.” Do I have to?” When I asked, he said, ”Since there was a canceled room, please go to that room.” For dinner, I had the ”Akaushi course”, but there were also extremely few dishes. Red beef is a small amount of beef about 2 x 5 cm thick and 5 mm thick, about 3 small bowls, and a little horse sashimi and sashimi. This is the first time I've had such a small amount of food at a hot spring inn. It may be good for small eaters. Also, the foreign staff brought the chawanmushi, but for some reason it was placed on the table instead of on a plate with a spoon for chawanmushi. As for the private bath, when I went early in the morning, there was a used toothbrush and floss on the edge of the bath. It's gross even if it's not in the corona misfortune. At checkout, not a single word of apology was given. Is it because I changed rooms that the matter has already been resolved? Is it just a makeshift lie that I will tell the staff at the morning meeting? This is my first time staying at this inn. It's unthinkable that a hotel can't be locked, and it's unthinkable to leave it alone for half an hour. It was fully equipped with safety box, too, but is problem before that. ”All users, please be careful.”

The farm house is very special. They are like small mushrooms, colorful, and the scenery in the mountains is also good. The farm is very large. You can take a free bus to your room to stay in the hotel and you can soak in the volcano hot springs for free. The farm has many activities, but the guests are very very Less, so most of them are closed. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Local buffet horse sashimi is good. But the general feeling is general, the first price is expensive, the price is low, and the second transportation is extremely inconvenient. From Beppu in the past, you must first take JR to Aso, then take a bus, and then change a taxi to reach. The third room has average facilities and there is no Wi-Fi in the room. It is generally not recommended to book this accommodation. Now Aso volcano has been erupting, so it is not possible to enter the volcano, so it is recommended that you do not have to visit here recently.

A traditional onsen hotel, recently renovated and facilities modernised. The twin bed room is large - about 50 sq m in size. In addition, there is a balcony overlooking an excellent view. The breakfast and dinner buffet are fine, though not very special. I like the Japanese style dinner better. The hotel is situated inside the mountain. Access is not easy. There are no shops nearby.

A remote entrance like an old private house. There is an atmosphere. Stay in the desired type. There was an open-air bath and an inner bath, and the open-air bath overlooking Mt. Aso was the best, and there was an enclosure, so I can't see it. The room is two-way and wide 々, and the amenities are also substantial. The whole room is clean as a new building. In the morning and evening, you will be given a private room in front of Kagura dono. The coldest time in February, the air conditioner was not very effective, and the foot was very cold, so I asked you to lend me a knee hanger, but it was thin, so I felt grateful to prepare a thick one. I did. The remote control of the air conditioner was not shared or in the private room. Because Nakai is older, it took time every time I asked for something. Before dinner, there was a Japanese drum dance at Kagura dono. It was splendid. It was cold, but it is worth a look. (It is better to confirm only on Saturdays and days.) The dishes were usually delicious. There was a long slope to go to the room away from the mother shop. Drinking around and flapping down! Watch out. It was an inn I wanted to stay again.

At first, I was confused because it was under renovation and it was closed for business. When I rang the front bell, the staff kindly explained things. Everything from room information to how to use the bathing facilities. The facilities were quite good for the price, and I could feel the feeling of a ryokan. Of course it was clean, and the bathing facilities even had a mini hot spring. It was a bit cold due to the nature of the ryokan, but it was okay because there was a kotatsu. Accessibility is near Uchinomaki Station, but it's a mountain road so you can't go anywhere at night. I think it will be very convenient for those using a rental car. The property even has its own free parking lot!
