I didn't expect to be able to live in such a good Japanese-style hot spring hotel in a place like Rokkamachi, which is totally value for money. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Rokkamachi Station. Every part of the hotel is extremely tidy, as is the public health area. I can’t find any flaws in a typical cleanliness like me. The hotel also has its own private soup, indoor and outdoor pools, although not big, but the atmosphere is excellent. As long as you make an appointment in advance, you can enjoy the private hot spring beautifully. The surroundings of the hotel are super quiet. Walking along the hillside behind the hotel, you can see many beautiful villas along the way. There should be many Japanese-style hot spring hotels. Finally, I have to say that the owner of the hotel is really great. Not only did he recommend us delicious Japanese restaurants nearby, he also provided free pick-up service and sent us to JR station early the next morning. It was really great. Intimate! Next time you have a chance to come to Rokkamachi again, you must stay here again!

I participated in the fireworks tour for the first time in four years. When I came back to the inn, I had rice balls ready, and I didn't know last time, so I ate a lot of fireworks, so I left the rice balls empty this year. The two-stage big lunch box was delicious. The staff are very warm and cozy inn. There was a big yasude and cockroach in the room and I fought a little from the morning (laughs) After returning from the fireworks, I used the large communal bath. The open-air bath was pitch black (Is it not available in the middle of the night?) I was disappointed. The breakfast and all the dishes were delicious. thank you for your help during the fireworks season. thank you very much.

The atmosphere looks rural, quiet, suitable for relaxation. Good food, good service. When returning to Himalayas, the hotel arranged a car to take us to the train station. Excellent service.

Our room was on the second floor of the annex, and some of the rooms had stairs, so it was difficult to carry the pet cart. Even with the door closed, bugs would get in somehow. The open-air bath smelled of gasoline, probably from the inn, and was uncomfortable at night. As it was the season for new rice, we ordered extra breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. Many guests brought their pets, and the inn and its guests were all very pet-friendly.

It was used during the 2022 Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale. The main building, where the lobby is located, is an old private house built in the Meiji period and has been designated as a registered tangible cultural property. This modern Japanese-style hotel has been recognized as a three-star hotel in the Michelin Guide Niigata 2020. The calculated space design has a sense of overkill, but it is calming. I stayed in Classic C-type Room 305 (Komatsu), a twin bed placed on a 10 tatami mat, a space next to 4.5 tatami mats and 3 tatami mats, and a reading space facing the front. It was a bit too large for a couple, but the 3 tatami mats were occupied by chairs and were a little inconvenient. Dinner is a full-course meal called ”Snow Country Gastronomy” based on ingredients and traditional dishes that have been eaten in the snow country for generations. Although the taste was above the level, there was no dish that left an impression with the orthodox menu structure. Although it is a different world once you pass through the gate, it is close to the city area and is along National Route 291, which runs parallel to the Uonuma River, so the location is not very environmentally friendly. It's not bad if you decide to stay home.

Must call this small hotel! The blind box was opened successfully, which was the unexpected joy of my trip. There are three rooms in the whole hotel, but the waiter has five or six. The room was very clean, there was a separate toilet, but there was no bathroom. This was a hot spring hotel, so the bath teeth were all carried out in the private hot spring, just a few steps away. Because there were very few people living in the hotel, I had one myself when I came, and there was one more person the next day. So we can basically occupy a private hot spring. Not very delicious, but it is good for many hotel dinners. Because I don't eat raw, they helped me change all the ingredients, very intimate. The people at the hotel don't speak English, but they work hard to translate their mobile phones and write Chinese for me. Breakfast is eaten in a separate living room and the environment is very good. And the hotel also has a free pick-up service, let him pick up and drop off one day in advance, and can help me pick up and drop off the nearby snow field. You know that the transportation fee in Japan is very expensive, and this town is not as developed as expected, and the taxi is not said to have it. The first day I arrived, because the time was uncertain, so I didn't go to let them pick it up. From the jr station to about 500 yuan, I couldn't get it. I waited for half an hour. I arrived at 9:00 pm that day. This traditional hotel is the latest to check in at 6:00, but they also waited for me to wait until 9:00 and prepared dinner for me. There is also a free sake drink in the hot spring, and if couples come, they can occupy the hot spring alone. But the charging standard of this hotel is very strange. He is calculated by head. Whether you are alone in a room or six people in a room, the price is calculated by head. To be honest, personal living is a bit expensive, but I live alone. It's really perfect. All hotels increase prices during the peak season, but he has a weekday and weekend price, the same all year round. When I left, I gave me a small gift and gave me a warm baby before skiing. Thank you very much for everything here!
