In the small town of Moab, I chose the Big Horn Hotel because my itinerary during the day was Antelope Canyon and Monument Valley. In addition, I had difficulty walking due to a torn knee ligament a few days ago, so I arrived at the hotel after 10 o'clock in the evening. The front desk staff was very warm and welcoming. For us, the only drawback is that the room is only on the second floor, so we have to carry our luggage up!

We were here 8 years ago. It is still a nice lodge. Friendly staff, clean, well appointed room. Good restaurants nearby.

Don't book Big Horn Lodge expecting a modern, sleek room. What I liked most about it was the vintage feel. I loved the old furniture (the desk chair had a leather back with obvious wear that was so comfortable). The beds were fine, as was the ability to control air temperature. It could have been a smidge cleaner (the chunky furniture is hard to get up close to with a vacuum, I'm sure), but we were very happy with our stay.
